Got to the restaurant for the scheduled dinner Monday 8/10/2020 @ 6:30pm and found out they closed up I believe 8/5/2020 w/o any notice assume due to Covid-19 issues .
They had a special menu on line that they would not honor. I’m not going back.
In a word - wonderful!!
Calamari overcooked, scallops were too salty and Mahi was overcooked
Too expensive dinner : poor quality
I was very excited to try this new restaurant but ended up having a terribly disappointing evening filled with mistakes at every point of service. I have worked in the hospitality industry my entire life and also dine out 4 times a week, so it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. The venue is beautiful, but you can tell the staff and management need several more weeks of training.
The server greeted us well, but then said the wine we requested unfortunately was unavailable. Then she returned and said she was mistaken and they did indeed have it. Fine.
The appetizers were disappointing as well, however. We had a bland French onion soup, and a poor excuse for a Greek salad. The server then brought an additional appetizer that we made clear we had not ordered. A different staff member then came and said that dish was brought to the wrong table.
For the entree, the broiled seafood platter did nothing to improve our experience. It was all dry and overcooked, although a good sized portion. The entree was also missing the side item, which for some reason the server could not comprehend until I physically pointed to the missing item in the menu. All of this after having to wait over 15 minutes for her to check in on us and to end up hearing that the side item was no longer available.
Ultimately this evening cost over $100 for a very subpar dining experience, to say the least. The 4 star reviews left by others is nowhere near an accurate reflection of my night at this restaurant.
Haven't been back since new owner took over. Loved the new menu choices. Ordered the flounder which was over cooked and dry. They did take it back and fortunately for me , they gave me someone else's flounder dinner so I didnt wait long for them to bring another one. Our waiter was inexperienced and also should of been more knowledgeable about the menu. Couldn't tell us how some of the entrees were prepared. Not sure if I would go back anytime soon!
Always enjoyed Apeiro...good to be back!
Felt very safe dining indoors.
Beautiful outside space. Food was good, service we had was average. Overall a good experience.
We had a great dinner this past Saturday night. Apeiro did an excellent job of social distancing which made us feel very comfortable. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the Giant Prawns stuffed with Crab Imperial while the other guests enjoyed the Greek Salad and Gazpacho which were accompanied by the delicious Zucchini Chips. Our server, Casey was very attentive throughout our meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Sat outside at a table for 6, although we were only 4. They sat us in the back away from any people & were so nice and listened to our requests!
Our entire group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed lunch. The menu was varied & fairly priced especially the 12 for $12 lunch specials. The food was plated beautifully and the portions were excellent. Apeiro is a beautiful restaurant which I would highly recommend.
Your across the way competitor is offering discount wine nights. I know things are crazy but you should try this promotion.
Always delicious food, great service, and pleasant outdoor dining. One of our favs because they never disappoint!
There seemed to be only one waiter. After he took our order, we waited about a half hour for it to come. There were only a few tables that had people. The fish was very dry. The burgers were great. Also the menus were not disposible which is a big deal at this time. Menus easily pick up viruses. Fans were good. Nothing much you can do with the heat.
Was safe environment
Good was great. Drinks were low quality, very low quantity and a major disappointment to what otherwise should’ve been a lively outing.
I know it is tough times right now for dining in general but outdoors is the only way we will dine for now. Did not think the spacing was really up to what is the required rule for right now and i was a bit concerned by that. We had not, due to the COVID 19 restrictions, been out to dinner since the mandatory shut downs and was glad to get out again. But was surprised by the new menu - thought it a bit pricey in general .
We went for an early dinner on Father’s Day, the staff was very accommodating and polite, all had masks and gloves, dinner good.
I brought my husband and our 3 kids here for Fathers Day 2020. Our waitresses Jennifer and Brittany were both remarkable. They were friendly but not over the top, they cared for our orders and experience. Also- that Maryland Crab Cake is generously proportioned ... yummmm !!!
Alk the food , including our appetizer, was put down on our table all at the same tune!. We sent the appetizer Back. Offered to pack it up tho, but we declined. I started to eat my tasty lamb chops, and noticed there were no grilled vegetables. Took it back to kitchen. By the time i got it back, my husband had finished his dinner. So, this was not a good experience. The waitress seemed unexperienced.
The new menu is outstanding. We had the crab stuffed shrimp and the Scallop dinner. Both were wonderful.
G old French fries
Ate at Apiero’s for late lunch with other family members. Six in total. Servers all wore masks. They sat us away from others. You could see staff sanitizing tables following CDC guidelines.
Food was good to excellent. Others in party said their hamburgers and Mahi-mahi sandwich was excellent. My vegetarian burger was good. Salad was fresh. Only downside was long wait for food.
Apeiro is a great place for Seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The house made pita balloon is a great appetizer and the Maryland crabcakes are the best in town. Worth the trip.
Management awful advertised website and denied what was advertisex
Sat outside in their new screened in patio which had a/c and fans. It was delightful and the service was great.
Felt secure in that the restaurant took all precautions to keep myself and my party safe.
JOB WELL DONE.
Fabulous dinner, service and ambiance!
Must have been understaffed. Food took 50 min to arrive
Worked pretty well
Nice dining experience
Well the CARES Act (extra $600 in unemployment benefits) is taking its toll. I was at Apeiro on Saturday night and it appears that their regular servers were absent (probably at home collecting benefits) and replaced by completely inexperienced, incompetent, and under-managed staff. When I sat down it took at least 15 minutes to get water and a menu, 45 minutes to get one drink, and over an hour to get a meal for myself and one companion, the meal consisted of a beef burger and a lamb burger. They were out of Branzino, Ahi tuna, mussels, and seafood salad -- all of which we were interested in ordering.
The social distancing was in effect-- so the restaurant was only 50% full and yet the kitchen and the servers couldn't handle it. We were never asked if we wanted another drink or dessert. It took almost 3 hours to have a simple meal. It's ridiculous Apeiro, you need to get your act together. With the expensive prices on your menu, the service should match that level. Also, happy hour prices are only at the bar, which is not written anywhere.
This restaurant used to be one of our favorites. The food and service was always good and the ‘balloon’ hummus appetizer was a favorite among other things on the menu. Since the new owners have taken over, the food has consistently gone downhill as has the service. We have been several times since the new ownership, most recently two nights ago. They have removed several things from the menu and even changed the pita appetizer that was so reliably delicious. Sadly, I don’t think we will be returning. We used to go often as it was close to our house. So so bummed.
Big cigarette drink man stunk the outside up. Only 1 chef and 2 servers. The wrong food long wait And watered down expensive drinks. Eat there a lot. Will not be back without compensation
A great neighborhood restaurant. Must be supported during this slow reopening.
Excellent food great staff.
This is a really fun place with a great atmosphere inside as well as outside. Been here for lunch and dinner both were wonderful. The new menu is really packed with variety. We ordered the Fried Calamari and Seafood Salad appetizers both were incredibly flavorful. For our entrees we kept it simple and ordered the Apeiro Burger and the Lamb Burger both were cooked to temp. The Apeiro burger was a masterpiece of flavors. Our server Kasey was very attentive and made us feel welcome by making sure we had drinks and describing the new menu items. You must try the Flatbreads and the Onion Soup is a meal in itself. The desserts are delicious and all fresh. Espresso and after dinner drinks, no problem. I love the unique drink creations from the bar. Overall a good value for your money you will not be disappointed.
Horrible waiter - never checked on us. Food was not great either. Bill was wrong. We went about 6 months and a horrible experience and decided to try one more time. Never going back until new owners take over.
The new menu prices in general a bit too costly now
Always good. Been there many time.
Our server was Jordan again. He's terrific!
Food is excellent!
