A.O.C. in Beverly Grove is fancy and sexy and serves top-notch French food as well. Your sex life can thank us later.
Great place and cool vibe!
Truly excellent. The red wine flight was unique and interesting, and the food was very flavourful (although be prepared for smaller portions). We were there for a birthday, they put us in the upper room which was great for quiet conversation. And they went the extra mile for the birthday. This was a very special night and I will be forever grateful to the staff and restaurant.
All the small plates were delicious. We especially enjoyed the fried chicken, cauliflower, And duck, the wine list was extensive but prices ridiculous. Service was just adequate.
Weird as it sounds I am always surprised how amazing the food is here. Be prepared to share everything. In love all over again with AOC
I hadn't been to AOC in years and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, with the exception of the tough-as-nails cauliflower stems in the curried cauliflower salad--if you insist on using those, please cook them to the point of edibility. We particularly loved the bacon-wrapped dates and the scallop ceviche; the pasta was good too. The service was both friendly and professional, and we were able to have an extremely long business lunch without being rushed. The terrace is as lovely as ever.
Really good food and flavors. Pretty much everything is small plates with four portions intended to be shared. We ordered six dishes for three people. After taxes and tip, we ended up paying around $50 a person. Would definitely recommend.
Ambiance is fantastic. Small plates- a bit over priced but overall a great experience!
Everything is great as usual! Thanks AOC for the consistency!
Great place to enjoy small plates and casual atmosphere with attentive service. Definitely a must-go back place!!
Really bad service. Had to wait 40min when I made reservation since 2weeks ago.
Loved everything about it! Drinks were great, so cute, food delicious! The patio is beautiful!
The food was amazing! Very extensive wine list. The service was second to none. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that's to be expected for Sunday brunch in L.A. Overall, a wonderful experience.
Usually love it here was very disappointed
service was very slow
food was very mediocre
will try again but not for a while
Beautiful patio, good food, great service. Never felt rushed.
Food was excellent. Timing
Of dishes not so much. We had some at the table that had food while others did not. Made for awkward dining.
Truly one of LA’s best restaurants
I arrived about 20 minutes early and gave them my name since my friend was not there yet. They checked the reservations and could NOT find my reservation. She said that I had booked it for the following Thursday 4/12 but that they would still be able to accommodate us. They were wrong because I clearly booked it for Thursday 4/5, that made me a little mad, but I didn’t check my open table app because I didn’t have my reading glasses. So we got seated at a mediocre table inside right in the middle of all of the tables where there was frankly not much room to sit nicely/freely since the table was by the pole and placed pretty close to the surrounding tables in the aisle where the waiters were passing at fairly high speeds since that hallway was where the waiters would use coming right out of the kitchen.
Never-the-less our waiter was great, he recognized that we were “catching up” and didn’t rush us to order. He did give us some suggestions and answered our questions. We order several plates to share and were very happy with the food presentation and taste. The wine was very nice as well.
I read about AOC being touted as a hot spot and made a reservation to take a vendor I work with out. We loved the ambiance and indoor/outdoor setting. We had a great table in between inside/outside. The service was excellent and both the manager and waitress were very attentive, kind, and knowledgeable! The food was good as well. We had a great experience until we got the check. I noticed a 3.5% charge for the full time employees heath care?!?! I mentioned it to the vendor while I was trying to fathom why it was charged on the bill. This hot spot makes plenty of money to pay for health care for their employees. How dare they charge their customers without mentioning a thing. It left a terrible taste in our mouth and we will not be going back to AOC again. Interesting how the manager stopped coming back once the check was delivered to ask us how we were doing. This is UNHEARD of and a terrible tactic to get their well paying customers to foot the bill for their “full time employees healthcare.”
Food was great but service a little slow and inattentive.
Very nice restaurant, beautiful with a patio and a fire place, one inside, one outside.
Love the food, tapas to share, very good taste.
Amazing list of wines !
Ambiance, to loud for me, the decor is so romantic, but the noice level is to much.
Creative, very different, and excellent small plates meal. Great atmosphere.
I have been going to AOC since it opened in 2004-ish, and have not once been disappointed; Sunday brunch is no exception. The Spanish fried chicken — already a dinnertime Classic — is superb atop a cornmeal waffle with a little pancetta thrown in for good measure. AOC is one of LA’s top spots, and has the feel of a neighborhood gem to boot!
Everything was delicious and worth trying!! If you're a foodie, this is a MUST try!!
Birthday dinner for my wife...hostess seated us at a great table by the fireplace...small plate menus with a wonderful variety of salad, cooked vegetables, seafood, meats, desert... creative dishes each one full of flavors...can’t wait to return...
This restaurant is always top notch! Our absolute favorite spot in LA.
AOC stands for All Orders Cold. We went there for our anniversary Witt high expectations, but were very disappointed. The shrimp appetizer arrived cold. The hanger steak arrived cold. The fried chicken arrived cold. The broccoli arrived cold. Only the potatoes were served at an appropriate temperature. The service was good, the food fairly tasty, but all cold.
We will not go back, ever.
We had a big family dinner for 6 and everyone had a great time! Food and service was wonderful.
Beautiful setting, fabulous food, caring service and a great spirit throughout the restaurant.
What a disappointing experience. AOC has long been a favorite place for us but we had not been there for a few years. But we decided to go for my birthday. Some dishes were at best, mediocre (no better than I could make myself) and others were outright awful. On one dish, the meat was not cooked. Everything was very under seasoned. Our service was not much better. While we were waiting for our last dish, no server approached our table for 15 minutes. When the server finally showed up asking about dessert we reminded her that we were still waiting for our last dish. Her response was "oh" and she ran off. And then 10 minutes later brought an under-cooked, under - seasoned piece of squash. We barely ate anything of our last three dishes and not one person noticed. And this is on top of the fact that we had notified the restaurant in advance that it was my birthday (but it was not acknowledged) and our table was next to the kitchen. When we asked to move, we were given the option of an equally bad table - even though the restaurant was only half full. These last things I can usually live with but on top of everything else, it added up to a very bad dining experience. We won't be back.
Great place, flavors are explosive, good wine list, a little over priced, Service was a little slow
A little disappointed with the food here. Was expecting more based on the reviews throughout the years, but came away with no strong memories. Would recommend to friends who like wine but there were no standouts among the food.
Best chicken and waffle ever. Unreal.
Well, my thoughts are; one goes to an over priced restourant mainly for the experince, service and having a good time. I certainly liked our food and how our waiter Matthew took care of us. However, I cant say that about our host Jessica. I am not sure I was considered as a customer or she thought I was her husband to prove a point by insisting on a logic that did not make sense to me. She not only was rude but also flat out, incompetent. When a host does not know what her function is as a host she must not be there. Funny thing is she really thought she was smart not knowing what others called her at A.O.C one called her dumb as a rock.
Mediocre service. Forgot one dish. Nice meal but not memorable
Excellent, overall! Pricey but worth it. Service was attentive but not strangulating.
Have been there several times. Never disappointed.
It’s one of our favorites.
The service and the food are excellent. Lots of wonderful small plates to share with friends and helpful guidance from the friendly wait staff. The hanger steak, lamb skewers, seared scallops and fingerling potatoes were fantastic. I would highly recommend A.O.C. for a weekday gathering with friends or a weekend brunch.
We thought the place was outstanding. Our service was a bit off. Very cozy and lovely setting and great food. Love the small plates.
We had a great dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates and green goddess salad for starters, and the wood oven grilled shrimp were sweet and delectable. We also had 2 orders of the Spanish fried chicken it was so good! And the black rice and farro was nutty and satisfying. For dessert we had a scrumptious apple cornbread cobbler with buttermilk ice cream with a candle on top! Great meal
