We had a great dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed the bacon wrapped dates and green goddess salad for starters, and the wood oven grilled shrimp were sweet and delectable. We also had 2 orders of the Spanish fried chicken it was so good! And the black rice and farro was nutty and satisfying. For dessert we had a scrumptious apple cornbread cobbler with buttermilk ice cream with a candle on top! Great meal
Great food and service however food comes out randomly not a good idea
The best brunch I’ve had in a long time (possibly ever)! My boyfriend and I decided to go here on a whim while on vacation. The ambiance was so relaxed and inviting, it felt like we were eating on a terrace somewhere in Europe. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. My boyfriend got the egg sandwich and he said it was phenomenal. I had the brioche with gruyere and prosciutto and I cleared my plate. Definitely coming back the next time we’re in LA!
One of my favorite restaurants in LA. Excellent food, tempting drinks, and warm cozy atmosphere.
Got a reservation for lunch, got on the patio, lovely staff, outrageously good food. Turkey sandwich wow. Big portion. 1000% amazing across the board.
Took a little while for them to seat us but once they did the waiter was super friendly and the manager sent us some complimentary finger foods for starters. It was delicious and a nice environment!
Wow. The food and service was that good. Highly recommend.
The food was excellent. Very interesting flavors. They had black napkins for those in dark colors, which is always the sign of a good restaurant.
Lovely server. Really incredible food. Full flavors and clean finish.
What happened to AOC? Food was poor. Server brought two salads on tiny plates that were supposedly entree sized. Then apologized and brought more salad. The “roasted” salmon was raw and overloaded with dill and tarragon. Salad was overdressed and wet. “Decaf” cappuccino kept me up all night. The bacon wrapped dates are still good.
Regular LA brunch menu. Great service but think this place is more suited for dinner than brunch. Will definitely come back and check out their dinner menu. Bar tender was great too!
Great restaurant. Brunch menu innovative. AOC always good
Service was excellent
Love everything about our evening!
The first salad I ordered had uncooked chicken and a hair in it. The second salad had a lady bug in it so I literally didn’t eat anything. Not to mention the waiter was aggressive and I lost my ID in the restaurant which they said they didn’t have which I later found behind my seat. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Great brunch and sat on the patio!
Just a perfect spot! The service and food were amazing. Thanks AOC team!
Though much of the food tasty, it felt "old" like devised about 5 years ago. The wine list has a dearth of good wines priced at 55-70- very bad there.
It's pretty noisy in some ways, which is odd as the ceiling is well constructed for noise level.
The food was a bit disappointing
Have always admired this restaurant, this chef and the space is beautiful but a bit worn. All 9 dishes we ordered (per our servers reccommendation) came within 30 minutes. Barely time for a second glass of wine so we shared one. Barely an hour and $300 later out the door. So hesitate to rate.
Better experience at the Larder the next day. Lots of service despite being counter service, beautiful food and decor.
Dinner with family including baby. Very accommodating staff. Ample room for our party (and stroller). Server was attentive and helpful w food and drink recs. Food was amazing. Small plates so left me wanting more but being forced to order multiple dishes made for good variety. Honestly, meat and veggie dishes were all delicious.
Great as always!
I love this place and it keeps me coming back. Great ambiance on the patio and delicious cuisine.
But this time I was very disappointed with the service! The waiter was extremely rude and ignored our table. The table next to us was seated after us and was served before the waiter would even take our order. I have no idea if he was offended, or just distracted, but it seemed intentional...
I am not sure if I will be back after this experience
Loved our dinner at A.O.C. Bacon wrapped dates, sea bass with pickled radish and beet puree, fingerling potatoes with creme fraiche, and budino for dessert. All dishes were delicious. They are small plates so you do need to order accordingly. A bit expensive for a weeknight dinner but great quality. It's local for me so I'll be going back!
Service was bad, one person trying to help everyone seating in the patio where you also have a big party. We were forgotten for about 30min after getting seated. He also tried to convince us that the salomon on the salad wasn't row and cold but instead they "poached and grilled it" which doesn't make any sense why it was cold.
I wasn't impressed with the brunch menu at all since i like their dinner menu and that was the reason being there. Will not go back for especially during the brunch hours.
Service, from hostess to server, was excellent. Food, not so much. I don’t know where to start, from the overly salty cauliflower to the gamey duck. Especially for the price. The atmosphere and service was outstanding
The check included an additional bottle of wine which we did order but the restaurant didn’t have it in stock.
When we asked for it to be removed from the bill the server was extremely rude.
The food was good, but nothing outstanding. Our waiter was very attentive and was knowledgeable re the menu and ingredients. The patio was cozy with the fireplace on. Good place for date night and there is a hip romantic vibe. Honestly, I can’t say I would ever need to go back here though as the food was just GOOD.
Wonderful service. Attentive without being disruptive. The food was amazing, especially the fried chicken and celery gratin.
Terrific food and wine, wonderfully attentive staff.
Phenomenal food, service, ambiance, and accommodations!
I do not understand why AOC only has a 4.2 rating. While the service was a little "snooty" it was deft, well-timed, and responsive. Both rooms are lovely and conducive to conversation. The food combinations on the plates were thoughtful and well-executed. Only menu quibble would be it would've been nice to have a simpler dessert option.
A.O.C. was the perfect lunch spot for my friends and I to catch -up mid- week. The service was quick and the server paid close attention to allergies, which both myself and a fellow diner have. The food was simple, yet well executed and the ambiance was beautiful with the greenery and natural light. We began our meal with the dates wrapped in bacon, the usual perfect balance of salty and sweet. My one critique would be that they were slightly too oily. It is as if they were dunked into the deep fryer immediately before serving. The table enjoyed two different salads and another the turkey sandwich. Great lunch items. Favorite item? French Fries with the fried herbs! The herbs added a herbaceous note and a refined element to a side favorite. Will be back and hope to try other restaurants by Suzanne Goin.
The food was delicious! We loved every part of the dining experience!
The brunch at AOC is delicious. We tried the bacon wrapped dates (delicious), the duck hash (great) and the farmers plate (perfect). I love this place.
This place was overpriced and the food was fair. To top it off we had a unfriendly waiter. Small plates really mean very small plates.
AOC was so nice!
I really wanted to take my friend out for her birthday, and for the meal to be good and special.
The restaurant has tapas-like dishes, so it’s small portioned plates. we got the Spanish-fried chicken, Steak, Lamb, and cheese plate.
We also got a bottle of red wine to go with our meal.
Everything was so yummy, and the atmosphere was so nice!
I would say my favorite was the chicken. The flavors were amazing, and I’m still wondering what’s in their sauce.
The service was also excellent! They checked in occasionally (not too much), and even put a candle in our dessert for us when I mentioned it was for her birthday.
If you have a special occasion, I would recommend saving up to come to AOC.
Service and food is on another level and the ambiance is super romantic, definitely a favorite in LA!
Very cozy place and excellent service, however, although everything seemed well-prepared it was too fried/deep-fried and greasy for our taste. But I would come back simply for the setting.
I have been to AOC twice now, and I love it! The ambiance is great, especially if you can score a table on their patio. The cavolo nero is AMAZING, as is the chicken; two things I find myself craving.
