Love the atmosphere
Surprised it was Very loud and crowded for a monday night
Service wasn’t as attentive as I would’ve liked because it was so crowded
But the wait staff was very courteous and nice! Just felt like the restaurant was under staffed
Some small plate prices seemed very high especially gem salad. Really could have had bigger sized portion considering the ingredients
We’ve loved coming here since it opened years ago but this time the server we had was very rude (everyone at the table of six said something about it) and when I went up to her privately as to not make a scene at the table she was even nastier about it. Then she never came back to our table, someone else waited on us for the rest of the brunch. I left a message for the manager to call me back so I could tell them what happened but no one ever called me back.
Everything it’s cracked up to be and more!
AOC has outstanding food. The wine prices have gone up quite a bit.
I like this restaurant, but both of our entrees were really far too salty, which of course is a big disappointment.
Excellent from start to finish, from making reservations on the patio for our birthday girl’s luncheon. Food, ambiance, attitude, decor, all excellent! Had’t been there since it was Orso about 8 - 10 years ago.
Amazing food, amazing service- just amazing!!
This place has an awesome atmosphere - I loved the patio. We also really loved everything we tried. Has a great wine selection as well. I will definitely be back! :)
Fantastic!
Our server was outstanding. We had a large party and like any larger party, it was more important for us to talk and catch up rather than look at the menu. We asked if he could take care of it and pointed out a couple of things we didn’t want as well as dietary restrictions and, done. Perfect execution.
Never disappoints. Best to go with at least 4 people so you can order more dishes.
I can’t say enough good things about AOC. This is a restaurant that continues to shine week in, week out, year in, year out. Truly a neighborhood gem that also doubles as a destination.
Service was a little slow, but overall experience always solid and the food always spectacular.
Fantastic!
Staff is great. Always a great lunch. Food is amazing.
This was my second visit, so I knew what atmosphere and esoteric-ish menu to expect.
My guest and I arrived separately but promptly at about 11:25 for 11:30 lunch reservation. My guest rang me to say she was there, but there was no one in the Valet stand to assist her. Similarly, I found the door locked, and had to knock to get attention of staff standing inside please to open the door (and showing w smile my crutch and indicating w smile that I needed to sit and so would like please to come in rather than wait on the sidewalk till someone opened the door. As I entered, I mentioned my friend's need of parking valet, and was told, 'Well we don't open till 11:30.'
Um. Not a great start.
Our table crew were pleasant, but seemed from the beginning as-if they were already really busy, watching all around largely empty room (it was early). From the time our order was taken, all was excellent - lovely, interesting food, pleasant invisible helpers refilling water, gracious offers for next courses, and so forth.
Love this restaurant. What an enjoyable place to celebrate my birthday with friends. Food is fabulous, service excellent, lovely outdoor seating.....can't wait to go back.
Everything was just "fine." For the price, I expect to be wowed.
AOC continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in LA! The food is always amazing, the service is perfect and the setting is so pretty. Always a treat to come here & cant wait to go back :)
The food was good but overpriced. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was okay.
Lovely outdoor dinning in the heart of a busy area.
The brussels sprout salad was small, had very few brussels and was not very good.
The 1/2 roasted chicken is always tasty but the white meat was overcooked.
We asked for bread and got ordinary white country and not much of it... all in all, not impressive.
My wife took me to AOC for my birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better celebration. Great patio, and amazing food. Our server was incredibly helpful in ordering from a very diverse menu. Every plate was incredible!
Brunch is fantastic
Great, inventive menu selection. Waiter was perfect. Food was great...lots of laughs and delicious eats with our daughters.
This was my second dinner at AOC and it was just as good as I remembered. The food is excellent; the wait staff is very friendly and helpful. I live in Chicago, but AOC will remain at the top of my list for LA visits!
Always a pleasure! Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, amazing service. Loved every minute of my birthday celebration.
We have enjoyed AOC for years. This is a fabulous restaurant, with a wonderful menu. The staff is knowledgeable, and attentive.
Whether a date night, or meeting folks for dinner, I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.
Spectacular in every way, friendly service, no waiting, wonderful ambiance and divine innovative cuisine, beautiful presentation and delicious!
It's been a few years since my last visit to AOC and if anything, it's gotten better than I had remembered it. I'm usually not a big fan of the small plates style of dining as I often feel like I only get one little bite of each dish. But AOC has made me a believer. We were a group of four, and each dish gave us a substantial sample, as well as the opportunity to try multiple flavors. Every plate we tried was outstanding: the little gem salad with mint (crisp and refreshing), the roasted brussels sprouts, the honey duck leg, the spanish fried chicken and a number of other plates I can't remember. The charcuterie platter we had (I think it was the Vintner's plate, but I could be wrong; it had rillettes, a couple of cheeses and saucissons) was quite substantial. For dessert we shared the butterscotch pudding/budino (divine!) and the rice pudding brulé (which was good, but not as amazing as the butterscotch). Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful dinner at AOC! Ambiance is great, we got a table on the outside terrace which was beautifully lit. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food was very delicious. We will return!
Beautiful patio, made room for my stroller and I appreciated it!
Amazing food!
It’s a must anytime I’ve accommodations nearby! Love that the portions are made for sharing. And the outdoor space is heavenly.
I love AOC and have been going for years. I took my friend there for dinner and had raved about how it’s great for any occasion. The food and drinks are always amazing. When we came in and the hostess was very friendly and seated us immediately. Unfortunately though, our waitress was not. She treated serving us (and it appeared like she was like this with other tables as well) as if it was torture and she was forced to be there. Another thing that really bothered us was that one of the servers brought over a little appetizer of what I think were olives and placed it on our table. A few minutes later, our waitress came over to take our drink orders and looked down and saw it on our table and quickly grabbed it and placed it on the table next to ours and said “oh that was supposed to be for them”. My friend and I were really surprised by this. Why not just bring them a new one? Or let us keep that?” It wasn’t even like a meal or real appetizer of great value. Not to mention she had no idea if we had eaten from it. The rest of the night was pretty much the same with her. Other than that, the drinks and food were great. Patio was fun and pretty as always. I know I’ll be back but not sure my friend will as this was her first impression of AOC.
AOC consistently provides a great dining experience.
The food is consistently good and so is the service. It's one of my favorite places for lunch.
Farmers lunch and the fried chicken appetizer are amazing. They grill the bread and it's delicious.
4 people set us up at a lovely take outdoor
I absolutely love AOC every time. Wonderful ambiance, delicious food, fantastic service.
I have been here for dinner, this was first time for brunch, service was very good, although we ordered bread at the beginning and it never arrived, but the starter and entrees were so delicious that we really didn’t need the bread anyway. We shared the bacon wrapped dates which are always tasty, I had the carnitas hash which was a different twist to hash, sauce hash made in was perfect partner for the eggs and tortillas made it possible to scoop all of it up. My friend had the chicken and waffles, chicken perfectly spiced and crispy while waffle was light and airy, nice combination of sweet and savory, with Tequila Bloody Marys and a beautiful SoCal sunny Sunday we had a very enjoyable afternoon. We plan to go back for Happy Hour during the week. You can’t go wrong at AOC!!
