What Insiders Are Saying
A.O.C. in Beverly Grove is fancy and sexy and serves top-notch French food as well. Your sex life can thank us later.
Wonderfully inventive food in a charming setting. AOC is a favorite of mine!
Phenomenal. Aesthetic, Ambiance, Food, Service. All 5 Stars.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing dining experience!
food was fine. great date atmosphere, but not worth $24 for a small plate of steak with no sauce or accoutrements of any kind. all the food was pretty underwhelming. standout was the peach upside down cake, but it's unclear if it was just so much better than our dinner.
Chef Suzanne Goin's restaurants always offer the best in dining. From the food to the service to the quality of the food A.O.C. never disappoints. Highly recommended.
We ate the DineLA menu with the wine pairing. It was all delicious. We loved every dish, especially the fried chicken and the hanger steak.

I have been to a.o.c. previously and very much enjoyed it, both the food and the atmosphere. I called to change my original reservation from dinner to lunch on a Saturday with out-of-town gas and specifically asked if there was a lunch menu. The young woman said yes there was brunch and lunch. I requested a table on the patio which is absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious, but unfortunately it was a brunch menu and I was so looking forward to some of the main dishes that I have had previously. The new manager came by to ask how things were and I told him everything was wonderful except for the fact that we could not order a regular lunch. Would I come back? Absolutely, as I love the food and the atmosphere. But there was that little disappointment about an incorrect response from the woman I checked the reservation with
It was all lovely
Went here for dine LA. Patio seating was lovely, but din from indoors still made it hard to talk. Value for dine LA was good, but while everything was tasty none of the dishes were unusual or outstanding. They were items that I could easily have cooked at home, and they would have tasted better. Waiter was pleasant and apologetic but forgot to put in order for main dish. I very much enjoy Lucques, another restaurant owned by the same chef, and suggest a meal there as a better choice.
Food was delectable. Atmosphere was cozy and comforting. Staff was courteous, friendly, and gave great food recommendations. Wasn't in love with the kale salad but everything else was amazing! A little pricey for dinner but worth every penny. Go Chef Suzanne!
Great spot. Never a bad meal.
So many nice things about this place. But overall not really worth the price for the quantity of the food.
When I made the reservation I said that it was a double birthday. When they called to confirm, I reminded them that we were celebrating a birthday. When I checked in I reminded the guy that it was our birthday. Not once did anyone say happy birthday nor did we even get a candle in our dessert. I didn't expect anything for free but certainly I shouldn't have to ask for a candle. Our server seemed stretched pretty thin. Food was excellent but small portions. Lovely outdoor patio--could have stayed there all evening.
We LOVE AOC and enjoy bringing all friends and family here. Exquisite, innovative dishes, superlative service, in such an idyllic setting! The BEST!!
We had a great DineLA menu here the other night and the waiter was fantastic. Recommend!
Nice place,diversity options of wine
Mostly a wine bar, with "limited food sources"
Salads, app plates, burgers
Brunch menu looks worth a try?
I used to love this place. I do love the wine and I thought the service attempted to be great, but with the whole Dine in LA menu, the kitchen was slammed. It took an 40 mins from when we sat to get our charcuterie. An hour for salads. And two hours later, we received our entrees. Further, I had made a note that is was my husband's birthday dinner, to which went completely unmentioned. AOC still has the great wine selection it always did, but I felt the overall experience lacked. I mean, I was pretty hungry for about and hour and fifteen minutes of a two hour dinner. That's kind of crazy.
My wife and I had GREAT evening! We got a wonderful table that I requested by the fireplace, our waitress was sweet, enthusiastic and knowledge. The food presentation and taste were EXCELLENT! All staff was attentive but not intrusive. We can't wait to go back!!!!
Casual environment with sophisticated food. Probably could use a little facelift.
The food was amazing, and the restaurant was great - even delicious cocktails. The service was a bit slow, but, they were pretty busy. The night was pretty much off to a bad start as the two ladies at the front door were pretty rude and had a lot of attitude. Not a real great first impression.
Tried this place for the first time, great place to take a date...food, ambiance and service were all excellent. It the prices were "reasonable" by LA standards.
Excellent meal! Really enjoyed the spiced lamb skewers and the clams from the wood oven. The seasonal pea salad with English peas, snap peas and mint was outstanding. We were seated indoors but near the open patio doors, so we got to enjoy the warm breeze. Our waiter was great. I would definitely come back.
AOC was fantastic for a casual date-- had amazing ambiance, incredible shared plates, and a plethora of drinks to choose from. Our server was incredibly helpful in selecting a good wine, and the highlight of the meal was the Spanish Fried Chicken (of course), the gnocchi, and the young broccoli.
I can't wait to come back!
Loved it, food was phenomenal
First date night out after the baby, beautiful experience, earthquake and all!
Great atmosphere. But the food was too heavy and the cocktails were too weak.
AOC is one of my favorite restaurants in Town. The server was excellent and the food was so good as usual.
Spanish fried chicken and clams are exceptional, desserts are a little pricey
a great dining experience.. great vibe lovely on the patio.
The patio has ventilation issues. It is beautiful but sitting there in the day is almost like sitting in an oven. The food was good although the prices for wine are excessive.
The food, service and ambiance were all predictably wonderful. Sitting on the patio on a summer evening eating the wonderful, creative food is about as good as it gets.
Had lunch in the patio and it was really a wonderful experience. Never disappointed.
AOC is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious, creative, and varied. The waitstaff is personable, helpful, and dedicated. The ambience is cozy and charming. A great dining experience.
Waiter needs to stop up-selling. It’s extremely transparent. $8 for those arugula ice teas is a joke. Menu was boring and not as good as usual. I come here often, but will probably not be coming back. Tired of the up-selling.
lovely and charming inside and out, great atmosphere combined with good service and good food ~ not to mention how romantic!
Amazing waitress and food!
Great food and service. The courtyard/patio is AMAZING
Went for a first date, and couldn’t have made a better decision! It was an incredible ambience, delicious food, and our server was just spot on. Highly recommend to anyone, any day.
