Mostly a wine bar, with "limited food sources"
Salads, app plates, burgers
NO Entrees
Brunch menu looks worth a try?

I used to love this place. I do love the wine and I thought the service attempted to be great, but with the whole Dine in LA menu, the kitchen was slammed. It took an 40 mins from when we sat to get our charcuterie. An hour for salads. And two hours later, we received our entrees. Further, I had made a note that is was my husband's birthday dinner, to which went completely unmentioned. AOC still has the great wine selection it always did, but I felt the overall experience lacked. I mean, I was pretty hungry for about and hour and fifteen minutes of a two hour dinner. That's kind of crazy.

The food was amazing, and the restaurant was great - even delicious cocktails. The service was a bit slow, but, they were pretty busy. The night was pretty much off to a bad start as the two ladies at the front door were pretty rude and had a lot of attitude. Not a real great first impression.

Tried this place for the first time, great place to take a date...food, ambiance and service were all excellent. It the prices were "reasonable" by LA standards.

Excellent meal! Really enjoyed the spiced lamb skewers and the clams from the wood oven. The seasonal pea salad with English peas, snap peas and mint was outstanding. We were seated indoors but near the open patio doors, so we got to enjoy the warm breeze. Our waiter was great. I would definitely come back.

AOC was fantastic for a casual date-- had amazing ambiance, incredible shared plates, and a plethora of drinks to choose from. Our server was incredibly helpful in selecting a good wine, and the highlight of the meal was the Spanish Fried Chicken (of course), the gnocchi, and the young broccoli.

I can't wait to come back!

The patio has ventilation issues. It is beautiful but sitting there in the day is almost like sitting in an oven. The food was good although the prices for wine are excessive.

Waiter needs to stop up-selling. It’s extremely transparent. $8 for those arugula ice teas is a joke. Menu was boring and not as good as usual. I come here often, but will probably not be coming back. Tired of the up-selling.

I have dined often at AOC, and for a reason. In general, I enjoy the dinner menu more than the lunch menu, as it's more small plate tapas style. The dinner on June 19 was particularly outstanding. The server, Sage, was just amazing - super friendly, attentive, extremely well informed about the menu and helped with a perfect wine pairing. The food was great, with special note of the hangar steak, black cod, grilled artichoke, cherries/avocado/etc salad. If ever in need of private function space, the upstairs room is lovely, holds about 20, and has been a perfect venue for corp dinner functions.

Everything was exceptional except the cocktails. I appreciate the attempt to try unconventional combinations but ultimately, a cocktail should taste like something more than experiment in mixology for its own sake.

To be honest, the food and service were very good, but I find it inconceivable that a restaurant of this caliber finds it acceptable to allow patrons to dine in soiled seats?! All of the seat cushions I saw were disgusting. It really set the tone for our dining experience.
