Antonucci's Ratings and Reviews
Recommended by business associate. Did not live up to his expectations. Very disappointed in food. If this is supposed to be NY Italian then I’ll pass.
I had stuffed calamari not very good. Couldn’t even taste stuffing and sauce was a brown sauce overpowered with beans and very little taste of the sea.
My csvatelli was pasty and dry. In fact all our pasta dishes were dry. We had to ask for more sauce which never came. Would not ever go back.
Great to have such a cool restaurant in the neighborhood. The vibe is fastastic.... sophisticated and cool/hip. Pasta is fantastic as are most of the other dishes. Large menu. Service polite and professional. Great marirtinis.
We look forward to coming here frequently. Best place on Upper east side.
Returned after a long absence, we started with stuffed Calamari (very good) my wife had Amattriciana that she said she enjoyed (I tasted it and felt the smoky flavor overpowered the dish from one forkful it repeated on me for the remainder of the evening!) I had Veal Ragu that was bland and disappointing. Between the food, service, and prices, I'd much rather spend the time and cab fare going to Lupa!
The food is great, some items even amazing. The owner is very attentive and watches the floor for the slightest hint of a customer need. The restaurant itself is very small and the tables are close together. The wine we had was delicious! It is a wonderful Italian restaurant and we like to relax and enjoy the experience.
Not your typical neighborhood Italian restaurant. Their regular menu and specials give an interesting choice of what turned out to be sophisticated and very good food. Of course, you pay for this. However given the numerous restaurants in their price range, many of which dispense mediocre food, you will do well here.
Service is professionl. The dining room is small and fills up early. Good wine list.
We decided to celebrate father's day at Antonucci's and it was the best choice. The main course takes a little longer to arrive if you don't order starters, but it was worth the wait. Everything was fresh and delicious. Best roasted chicken ever. We will most definitely be back and bring friends.
We had a long wonderful lunch here. Food was delicious as always. Service wonderful and we sat and chatted and visited for 2 hours. No one bothered us, and of course no one was waiting so they told us to stay as long as we want to. Can;t wait to return everything homemade.
One of the most delightful experiences to have is dining at Antonucci's. The soft shell crabs were outstanding and the kale salad delicious. Both of our pasta dishes were memorable(I'll dream of my lamb ragu). Their wine list offers a wonderful selection at in all price points. Love their decor!
Over the years, we have never had a less than good meal here, and last night's was even better than usual.
Except that a woman knocked Andrew's beer over while getting into her seat. His clothes were not affected, but that side of the table, his portion of the octopus carpaccio, and the banquette were completely inundated.
They gave him another beer, as they should have. But they were "out" of the octopus, and offered him no substitute. Nor did they halve the price of the octopus, which he had not even started to eat. He told me not to object, but I call this strange.
All that said, my beef agnolotti was superb, and Andrew agreed about his duck ravioli.
Our salads too.
