Using only the freshest ingredients, Chef Avona's menu offers a diverse selection of pasta, steak, veal, chicken, and fresh fish which changes daily. Antonio also offers an Award Winning Pizza menu including Capricciosa, Margherita, and more. For wine aficionados, the wine list features an extraordinary selection of Italian wines, all very reasonably priced with many served by the glass.
Open Monday through Friday for lunch, and seven nights a week for dinner, Antonio invites you to enjoy their excellent wait staff and warm dining room ... or linger long on the marvelous outdoor patio. It's like spending an afternoon or evening in Tuscany!
Second visit and this one exceeded the first. Just a wonderful dining experience.
Wonderful evening of fine dining. Food and Service were outstanding. The placement of the tables resulted in the dining area a bit crowed and the noise level was rather unpleasant. Both of these negatives were offset by the food and the service.
great food and staff was attentive
The food was not very good. The place was extremely loud. The prices were excessive. We will not return
Chose to try something new with the wife for Valentines Day. Could not have been happier. Our server, Guillermo, was full of life and true Italian hospitality. We started with a bottle of Italian red, a blend I pretty much just took a guess on as the wine lost is extensive, and I am no expert on Italian wines. This turned out to be a great choice for our pairings. I chose the lobster balls for our appetizer, and i was left wishing that was our meal. Fresh, warm, hunks of lobster soaked in hot butter and garlic.... What's not to love? For dinner, we went with Filetto Di Manzo Al Barbaresco...the good old filet in reduced wine sauce. I think it was at least a 10 Oz filet, cause it was HUGE and magical. 5 out of 5 on preparation and taste alike. Polished things off with some creamy raspberry cheesecake and a cappuccino, the perfect nightcap. I highly recommend dropping by when you're in Addison and looking for something different to share a romantic dinner for two.
We were there on Valentine’s Day so the noise level was higher simply because it was packed. This is a great place and we had been there before and wanted to go back somewhat as a nostalgia evening but also because it just really is a nice enjoyable place to go.
Lots of people - rather noisy. Loud talking people were so loud, my husband couldn't always here. Not very romantic for Valentine's Eve.
It took a long time for us to get our food. The waiter was not very attentive to our table.
Food is consistently fabulous. Service the same. Hidden gem in Addison.
DELICIOUS MEAL. SPECIAL FLAVOR ON THE RED SAUCE ON PASTA. HAD A CHICKEN PARMASIAN SANDWICH WHICH WAS AS GOOD, JUST SMALLER THAN THE DINNER PORTION. HIT THE SPOT.
My group of friends (6 ladies) eat out often and find that many restaurants are not amenable to conversation. Which is our primary reason for getting together! Antonio's is cozy, we can enjoy each other's presence, and the staff is very friendly and extremely efficient.
The only negative I could add is that some of the dishes (eggplant parmesan and the canneloni) were a little salty. For those of us that try to watch our salt intake, we are acutely aware of the amount of salt we are ingesting. Others may not be so concerned.
We had excellent service and a very nice table
¡Súper recomendable y todo es riquísimo!
Linguine with white clam sauce was really delicious...not avialable in many places but none better!
Food excellent but noise level was greater than at other times we have been there. Still a great time.
New Years Eve
We dine here frequently. We needed to go at an odd time. The service was way off. The server could not care less. Won't go again at this hour. I expect better from them
Family Christmas celebration.
Meal was excellent , as well as service . Always consistent
A favorite, especially for special occasions. Seared tuna sandwich, veal Marsala, red fish entrees all winners.
Great food as always. It's a "go to" place for us.
Excellent food and quick service. We were able to make our Water Tower Theater show easily!
Nice cosy table
Absolutely love this restaurant! It’s my husband and my favorite date night spot. Very intimate, great staff, the chef comes out of the kitchen every night and you’re sure to see familiar staff faces that remember your orders. The food is great, fresh and handmade. They are very willing to customize any order to your liking.
I travel to Italy a lot. Particularly Tuscany. This is the only Italian restaurant I have found in the US that has equaled most of my experiences there. The food was excellent and on par with anything you can find in Tuscany. The service was top-notch...Well done, Antonio...
We are "fairly oftens" at Antonio. This trip was in response to their alerting us that Osso Buco was to be served soon. Had forgotten there was such a list. How awesome of them to follow up. And how doubly awesome the Osso Buco!!! One owes it to one's self!!
We were able to get a table for 2 on Saturday night using opentable. Upon arrival they did not have our reservation in the system. The host told us that Opentable will show availability when the restaurant is full. There were only 2 tables open upon our arrival and we were seated. The service was attentive and the chicken was prepared perfectly. Their port is a bit pricey though.
My boyfriend and I came here for our one-year anniversary. It was excellent! We ordered the complimentary house bread, focaccia bread, potato pasta, and I got regular pasta. All simple dishes done SO well. It was just lovely, and it served a perfect spot for our date with amazing food. We will be back!
I can always count on great food and attentive service at Antonio’s— one of our favorites.
I'm from New York so the bar is very high for Italian food. The veal parmesan was the best I've had outside of New York. The crab avocado appetizer was also out of this world.
The food and wine were excellent, esp. the breaded asparagus! My dinner group enjoyed the experience. Due to weather, patio unavailable. Without patios, place felt small w elevated noise level; a group was having a gathering of 20 or more in section next to us. The food was excellent, drawbacks were completely beyond the restaurant's control. I'll go back when it's nicer weather, and dine on the patio!
Antonio`s is the go to place for authentic Italian food. The wait staff has been there for many years - they are a great team and make you feel right at home. I have known these guys for at least 15 yers or more.
I have taken my best friends, extremely important clients, family and this eatery and the people never ever disappoint. We have done birthdays, company parties, date night and every occasion you can think of.
We loved it this time and so many times before. We will keep going back every chance we get.
Hooray for Antonio and his crew.
Linguine and clams is one of my favorite dishes, however, was not good at the restaurant. Also, wines by the glass are too expensive and the sauvignon blanc was bitter, switched to Chardonnay and that was the driest Chardonnay I’ve ever had.
The salmon with dill sauce was outstanding!! The broccoli was perfectly steamed. Wasn’t feeling Italian this night but I have dined with AR in past and my Italian food was just as outstanding. 😘
Great food. Service was a bit slow. not sure why.
Food is always good, I like the quiet atmosphere.
This was our first time at the restaurant but it won't be the last - it was a perfect evening with great service and unbelievable food - we sat outside on the side porch, which was nice and much quieter than inside which was quite energetic and loud - the food was top notch and service was on point - we'll be back!
