Antonello Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Overpriced. Has gone down hill significantly. In a town where there are many choices for fine dining, Antenello no longer had the quality of service, ambiance and food to stand out. For a place with $17 salads and the cheapest glass of drinkable wine was $18, the service was typical, the food ok, but not great. I won't be going back.
Our dinner was very good. The portions were big and most importantly the food was served hot, hot, hot! We had a little issue with the valet. Discovered the next day that they backed the car into something. It looks like it will be taken care of but it was a bummer!
Co-worker and I always make plans to go there now when in the OC on business. Carlos our waiter was gracious and attentive. As usual, food was top notch; well-prepared and well-presented. One of the few non-chain fine dining establishments near South Coast Plaza. Comparable pricing. Much better food and atmosphere.
I haven't been for a while here but the food did not disappoint. We started with the Antonello salad. Delicious. Then on to the Lobster Ravioli with Seaweed caviar. Also delicious. We then had the Grand Marnier souffle for dessert. Decadent and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. A truly great place to take someone for a meal.
Antonello is not your run-of-the-mill Italian place. The food is amazing, and the menu selections are varied and interesting. There were 6 of us, we each ordered something different, and everyone was very impressed with their food. The pork chop was a huge serving, the gnocchi was melt in your mouth perfection. We decided to try the porcini risotto (prepared in the cheese wheel) as a side to share for the table, and everyone LOVED it. It was rich and creamy with just the right amount of truffle. SO GOOD!
A lovely and warm atmosphere in the proximity of South Coast Plaza. The menu is what one expects at an Italian restaurant, but is a bit pricey and not very imaginative. The food is okay and nothing really stands out. I would recommend this for a romantic, quiet spot with acceptable fare.
This is one of the greatest restaurants in OC. If you haven't been there, then go. The todd is off the charts wonderful and it is coupled by an amazing wine list and old school Italian service! You feel like the only ones in the restaurant. Love this place!!
We have not been here in about six months but the food and service are still excellent. We had the squash blossom appetizer, the Antonello salad and for entrees the lamb chops and the Branzino. The Branzino is one of the best around as are the lamb chops. Yes, this is not an inexpensive dinner, but worth it. I believe the corkage was $25.
Authentic Italian food paired with premier service. We found this restaurant by coincidence after searching for Italian food while visiting Disneyland. The 30 minute drive was worth it. Pasta is made fresh and all dishes inspire your taste buds. We will return definitely the next time we visit Anaheim. Many of the dishes and some special drinks are prepared table side. An amazing experience.
Had read lots of great reviews and decided to try lunch. They offer a fixed price 3-course meal or the regular menu items. The octopus salad was good but not something I would return for. Capellini with shrimp and the orecchiette with Pugliese sausage were delicious, as well as the minestrone soup. Tiramisu was excellent. Overall, a great lunch.
We have dined here many times in the past, but this restaurant has turned into a disappointment. Prices have doubled and meal size has noticeably shrunk.
Will remember when things were different and will not be back anytime soon. Always excellent service however; at least that hasn't changed.
We have been there before on special occasions and its a great place. Wonderful atmosphere and fine service. A very classly place. This trip was to celebrate my wife's 85th birthday and staff was very friendly. We had their three course special. Wife had pumpkin ravioli and she said this is the best restaurant meal we have had in a very long time.
