Had dinner at 6pm and their 3 course meal package was available. We still ordered off the regular menu. Overall highly recommend, across the board, especially the food. Had their special catch of the day, grilled swordfish!! Excellent!

I cannot recall the name of our waiter, but he was outstanding. He was attentive, but did not hover. He explained the menu very well and was ready to respond to our every request.

The service was impeccable and friendly. The food was outstanding, very fresh, expertly seasoned and prepared. Portions were perfect. The rack of lamb was one of the most tasty I have ever eaten. If you order crepes, they prepare it tableside.

Nice dinner at Anton and Michel's on Sunday evening. Nice ambience and setting. Service was great. Enjoyed the rack of lamb for my entrée. My wife enjoyed the trout. We've there previously and will return when in Carmel.

Thanksgiving dinner with old friends. We drank a little cocktail, ate, had a little wine and a little more wine. Food and service was superb! We especially liked that we could sit and relax and talk and not be rushed. Thanks for a lovely night!

Booked for 50th anniversary and 74th birthday but completely ignored even though mentioned when making reservation and again when we arrived we were very disappointed we drove 400 miles expecting more. May be our last time there.

The service and quality of food were very good, but overall, the ambiance felt dated, especially for such a nice restaurant in a busy vacation spot. The lighting and ambiance was more akin to a fine dining cafeteria. One minor, but demonstrable, detail was the bar ware, which seemed like it came from a caterer’s collection. For drinks/wine at $10-12 a glass, this seemed off. Again, the service and attention were wonderful and everyone was pleasant and welcoming, but it wasn’t the special evening out we had originally planned.

Service and atmosphere were great. My husband and I both had the trout. It was "fishy" tasting and the couscous was very dry. Desserts were ok, but disappointing for the quality we expected. Creme brûlée was room temperature and had obviously been finished earlier in the day because the topping was not crisp. Chocolate torte was fine, but not excellent. We would try one more time with different food options before giving up on the restaurant.

We were so looking forward to dining at Anton & Michel for our 25th anniversary. We saw very favorable reviews on Open Table and Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, our experience was not the same. First, it took several minutes to be greeted by the host and about 10-15 min to be greeted by the waiter. When he took our order, it was very rushed - he wanted us to order everything at once - food, wine, etc. Had we known we might not have seen him again for another 10-15 min, I would have ordered right there an then. We mentioned were celebrating our anniversary at the time of booking and to the waiter - and barely received a comment or recognition. Had to wait through the salad course for our bottle of wine. We finally got water half through our meal after requesting a few times. Wait staff seemed very short staffed and were running around, but did not seem to be efficient or helping each other out. This completely took away from our experience. Your atmosphere and food are lovely. Match it with your service. At every single restaurant we dined in Carmel and later in San Francisco, we received notes from the manager, special desserts and much better service overall. While we do not expect all of that, we do expect attentive service. We were not valued as customers. We were people to be fed. It was the worst dining experience of our very memorable, special trip. I regretted dining there and only wish we had left when we were not receiving the service we would have expected. We cannot give you a positive review.

I usually love this restaurant , I have eaten here many times
. We dined here on a Monday night and the food was underwhelming.. the salad was over dressed, the lobster bisque was off, the steak was smothered in sauce and tasted like liquid smoke. The artificial kind! My recommendation is... don't eat here on a Monday night. It must be the chefs night off.

Great as usual. Probably my Third visit. When we are in Carmel area this place is a must! Service is excellent!! They have adult experienced servers. Food was so good as always. I had the pork tenderloin and my husband had the duck. Had the lemon tarte for dessert and was absolutely wonderful.

I cannot day enough about our experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious from appetizers through the amazing flambé bananas foster dessert. The wine list was extensive and prices were very reasonable (not the case at some restaurants in the area). Our waiter was delightful. The restaurant is very romantic with views of their courtyard fountain. Just go!

Beautiful restaurant, great service, excellent wine list. Unfortunately our meal was disappointing. The iceberg wedge salad was excellent. I ordered the NY steak medium rare and it was between medium and medium well. My wife ordered the salmon and it was also overcooked and pretty dry. The presentation of the food was great.

Our dinner was excellent. I had the herb garlic chicken and the sauce was delicious! My husband had the pork tenderloin, he enjoyed it but it was on the salty side. Both agreed a great restaurant and we will return again.
It was on the noisy side where our table was located to hear each other only when the restaurant filled up with other diners.

We went to this restaurant for our 30th wedding anniversary. We had a $50 Open Table credit that we presented when they brought the $300+ bill. Not only did they not accept it, the manager was indignant and made us feel like we were trying to cheat him. He said "Listen, I have been here 18 years and I have never seen one of these." He did not bother calling the MasterCard phone number on the Open Table award sheet we gave him. We go out to dinner a lot but in the future it certainly won't be to Anton & Michel.

The photos looked much better than the real ambience. Food was mediocre by far (but it truly depends on your previous life experiences). It was very overprices for the quality introduced.
Menu choices were in a pretty wide range, but truly not worse the money we spend.

This restaurant is very over-rated in my opinion. First, our servers were just fine, no issues there. The greeter was surly, we had to wait in the bar for 20 minutes for our table. The ceasar salad was very u remarkable, the dressing was no better than out of a bottle. My paella had been under the warming lights it was visibly dried out. The selection of seafood was not only cheap, but badly cooked; the shrimp were under cooked but the fish was over cooked to the point of being rubbery and chewy. The rice was dried out in the top and soupy in the bottom. My dining partners fish was so over cooked the edges were almost burned and the filet was dried out. The veggies on the side were the consistency of canned.
The decor was tacky.
We had heard from locals at a wine bar that they left last time they were there due to bad food! We honored our reservation and their opinion was exactly right!
Will never return!

Decent food...server was clueless about the menu and the wine list...tried to fake his way through questions about what was and what was not gluten free rather than asking the kitchen.. same approach to trying to explain different selections on the wine list.

I think the Mahi Mahi was undercooked because I got very sick that night.

Also the service was very slow at the beginning of the dinner. Improved later, but compared to the quality of service we received the night before at Grasings, the service here was subpar considering how expensive this place is.

I will say that the Sea Salted Creme Brûlée was excellent though... almost saved the night... until I got sick later.
