   We enjoyed dinner here. The new big eye tuna appetizer is delicious. We also loved the diver scallops with risotto and the trout. The service is excellent. Great wine list. The chef came out to talk with our table. It was a very nice experience.

   We loved the restaurant and our evening. It is gorgeous inside. The host is a trained pianist and serenaded us at one point. It was a real treat!

   So enjoyable as always over the several decades we’ve been able to visit the Monterey peninsula. The salmon was perfect. I loved the filet which you haven’t had for some time, although it’s been a few years since we’ve gotten back. Both done perfectly!

   Such a nice lunch dinning experience! Now that we have found this gem my wife and I enjoy a lunch and a dinner here on each visit to Carmel. A very inviting experience with great food.

   My husband and I had a very quiet dinner with excellent service and probably the best meal we’ve eaten during our stay in Carmel. This restaurant is very romantic and has an incredible wine list!

    A waiter sometimes can make someone’s experience that much better however our waiter last night did the opposite. Sadly, while we was enjoying our cocktails we ordered our main entree and asked the waiter if he could choose the appropriate wine pairing for our entrees and bring them glasses of wine when the main entree came . Not before the entree because we didn’t want to drink it before the entree. The waiter brought it to us immediately and said he didn’t want to wait because he may forget ! Food was also very mediocre.

    Anton & Michel is upscale. I had Abalone for the first time. Its a place to judge other restaurants in Carmel against. We ate at some very good places on our visit. Anton and Michel in in the top four. David M

    Dinner was exquisite, I started with the crab cakes accompanied with a small arugula salad, both were superb in flavor. My partner had the Wild Mushroom Risotto and Caesar salad, he absolutely loved them both as he savored every moment of his meal. My main course was the Alaskan Halibut on a bed of sauteed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes surrounded by a red wine reduction, and topped with a corn chutney, what an amazing presentation and unbelievably delicious. The service was excellent and the ambience is very relaxing and pleasing to the eye. Thank you Anton & Michel and I promise to return to your magnificent restaurant the next time I travel to beautiful Carmel by the sea.

    It was our first time but definitely not our last. We dined here for our 25th anniversary and I can’t thank the host and staff for making it special for us. Food was superb and perfectly cooked. My husband and I are salt sensitive, and we were grateful that the food was perfectly seasoned for our taste. I started with the French onion soup and my husband has wedge salad. My husband’s duck was tender and one of the best I’ve ever eaten. My seafood fricasee was delicious with an added kick. Large portions for petite me. So, we opted for only one dessert. Wait staff is extremely and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. A special thank you to Mirscha (spelling?). I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here again.

    Duck pâté was fantastic. Our entrees were ok, nothing spectacular for the price point. Crepe Suzette was excellent but we missed the table side display as the area we were seated didn’t have the space to accommodate. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly staff.

    All food choices were served in a timely manner and very well prepared. Quality, freshness and temp were excellent. We had 3 courses, including appetizer, entree and dessert. Service was friendly and we wanted for nothing, as they were all over it! An excellent choice to dine if ever in Carmel by the Sea.

    Our first courses were great but our entrees had been way overcooked. We both ordered medium rate but both came out well done. They gave us new entrees and compensated more than fairly for the error. But I feel they have a huge training issue with timing the entrees. I feel they had fired off the entrees well before we were finished with our first courses then put them in an oven to keep warm but also continued to cook.

    I was very disappointed in the food at this restaurant that I had heard so many good things about. My dinner consisted of a piece of salmon with a piece of lemon on a fork and a small pile of puréed sweet potato. Even my guest was shocked at how little food it was on my plate. The salad tasted like a coleslaw that didn’t have dressing. I’m just glad that my guests dinner was better than mine. There was no music except for about five minutes a very nice piano playing and then it was over. What is all the hype about? It was certainly missing on the night we had dinner there.

    We go to Anton & Michel at least once a year when we visit Carmel. We were there last year in July and again last weekend during the AT&T golf tournament. I am sad to say that the food just isn’t what it used to be. My husband had the rack of lamb and said it wasn’t good - didn’t even taste like lamb. I had red snapper that was Ok but came with an salad that didn’t taste good and the presentation was poor. The plates used to be beautifully presented. We had similar experiences both times so we don’t know if there has been a change in chefs or what but it hasn’t lived up to the wonderful experiences we had over the years. The service was good but again felt off. Perhaps the Managment has changed and there isn’t as much attention to details. We aren’t sure if we will go back on our next visit. Hoping there will be some changes before our next visit.

    Beautiful day for a late lunch outside on the lovely patio. Friendly and gracious service. Delicious special grilled vegetable wrap and perfect sweet potato fries. My husband finished every bite and I saved half for dinner! Superb food! Our go to spot when we are in town!

    There for wife’s birthday. Nice restaurant/ambiance/service. Food was extremely below par. Worst wedge salad I’ve ever had. $69 for a ribeye that Texas Roadhouse could have done better. Wife’s got her pork chop comped because it was raw in center. Worst meal we’ve had in a week in California.
