Depuis 1980, l'Anton & Michel est reconnu pour sa véritable excellence dans l'art de la gastronomie. Suite au réaménagement intérieur complet réalisé en 2013, il dispose d'un ensemble d'ouvrages en pierres et d'un salon agrandi. Les baies vitrées offrent une vue à couper le souffle sur la Cour des Fontaines. Le magazine Zagat Survey dit de ce restaurant qu'il est un « hymne à l'élégance immuable des restaurants de Carmel ». Avec les changements et les touches contemporaines apportés aux menus, le service parfait à table et les spectaculaires desserts flambés restent toujours à l'honneur. Comme cité dans le Wine Spectator, l'Anton & Michel est « probablement la meilleure expérience culinaire proposée dans le centre-ville de Carmel-by-the-Sea ».

Christopher, “Z” and Alexandria made our “63rd” wedding anniversary dinner a very special experience, well beyond our expectations. Manager Christopher even brought “flowers from is own garden” to place on our table! The food, service and overall experience will be one we will fondly recall for many years!

We have been enjoying this restaurant on a regular basis for several years since we moved to this area. It is always a pleasure to dine here. It is our "go-to" restaurant when entertaining our out-of-town guests as well as when we want to enjoy a night out.

My brother and his daughter were here on a visit and we wanted to take them to a really nice dinner. And Anton & Michel’s was perfect. Thanks guys!

One of the host/owners named Z came to talk with us - making sure our meal was excellent. Food was delicious. Attentive waiters. Will come again!

Food was excellent; service was prompt and courteous. The owner/maitre'd and waiter made the two children that were in our party feel welcome. Next time we're in Carmel, we will definitely be back.

Very beautiful place large windows facing a courtyard with water feature and garden. Service was perfect. I ordered the duck confit. It was excellent. I recommend for a special occasion.
