We were in town for our anniversary and chose Antlers because of their interesting menu. My husband and son had the Elk and said it was awesome, perfectly cooked and my daughter-in-law had the special fish of the day which was redfish and she loved it. The service was excellent and inspite of being a large open space the noise level was very low.
I liked Antler's Lodge, but I wouldn't say the value was there. I enjoy a nice restaurant and am not so concerned about price unless it's not worth that price. We had salads to start (the dressing on both the ceasar and wedge salads was bland), steak and scallops for dinner (the steak was cooked well, but the cut of steak wasn't high quality for the price point -- $46 for a NY Strip; the scallops were good), and the brussel sprouts for a side (also good). The ambiance was good, though the lighting was just slightly too dim. I'm all for mood lighting, but it was almost dark. Overall, medium level experience, and we still had a good time!
Typical hotel experience. A large meeting crowd overwhelmed the under staffed restaurant. The junior servers tried to keep up diligently but just could not.
Food was mediocre and expensive.
Drinks were the plus creative and tasty.
I was staying at the Hyatt and this was essentially the only nice dinning option in the near by. I had the elk which was very tender. This seemed to be their signature dish and was prepared well. For dessert I had the smoked pecan pie. I'm a huge fan of pecan pie but in my humble opinion, the excess smoke flavor doesn't add anything to this dish.
Great food, good location. Only thing, their card systems were down forcing cash or room charge, good thing they had an ATM near by. Would have been good to know before hand...otherwise good experience.
Excellent service, food and drinks were served within a very reasonable time, Atmosphere was pleasant for a Friday night out. Able to park very near restaurant. Food was great, would go again.
The food was delicious.
Our server, Adam, was most attentive.
We were a group of 9 and ate family style - sides and desserts. Most of us tasted each other's entree; all were delicious. One member of our party said it was the best steak he had ever eaten. I had the veal chop cooked exactly the way I requested. It was excellent. All the side dishes were delicious, but my favorite was the mac and cheese. The creme brulee was outstanding. I can't say enough about the service. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. Great place to eat.
I had never been to Antler’s Lodge, but I will definitely be going back! The food was impeccable and everyone at my table had nothing but great things to say about their dishes. Our waiter, Noah, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our food and wine questions. Try the fried brussel sprouts, you won’t regret it! Will definitely be going back there soon!
Came here for date night / baby moon as we were staying at the Hyatt. We tried the peach crostini (sp?), salad, elk, dry-rub steak with mashed potatoes as a side. The peach crostini left some to be desired but I liked the idea. The elk was amazing! one of the best red meat dishes I've ever eaten. Everything else was delicious. The ambience is very good, but the menu is very pricey. Definitely worth coming for a special occasion if you can afford it.
Great food, service left things to be desired. Our server was having to cover a large area and needed help.
Excellent service by Melissa AGAIN. Food was great.
We haven’t given a 5 Star in a while but the meal was incredible. Anyone who can make brussels sprouts taste that good clearly knows what they’re doing.
Service was wildly attentive. It’s was a perfect experience.
Outstanding service! Noise level was very low, where you can have a nice conversation.
While beautiful to see, antlers lodge was just ok regarding the food. Hubs had ther pork chops and her enjoyed them. I hadthe vegetables and pasta. It was ok. My thought is this: when you are charging the prices you do, include a lovely salad and vegetables on the side. Don't make me pay even more for ther vegetables with the main meal.
Love that they can make Gluten Free adjustments for the Elk. Excellent food just wish they had Red Italian wine on the menu, such a shame to not have the best wine country in the world not included and have to settle on something else
We had a wonderful time the food was great and the service was outstanding!
Service was excellent, food was good, ambiance was poor.
A limited, well-executed menu. We had the Elk and Ribeye Cap steaks. Both were cooked to perfection. Apps were adequate (would have preferred a different selection but what we had was nice) and salads were good too.
I am 69 and have eaten all over the world and this is in the top 10
Food was delicious! Steaks, pork chop very good ... compliments to the Chef! The service we excellent.
The ambiance not so great. The dining room needs to be updated, it’s very late 80’s/ early 90’s decor (drapes, etc.). Otherwise, this is a go to place for good food!
- Great selection of meats, incl. rare kinda like elk and venison, both delicious.
- Great ambiance. Huge antler chandelier and fireplace make the place very cozy and comforting.
- Great and attentive service.
Will highly recommend it for a special occasion.
Excellent food and service. No issues with this place at all. Very enjoyable.
The ribeye cap was recommended to us along with the ale demi glace steak sauce. It was delicious as were the fried Brussels sprouts. I gave the meal 4 stars since my husband's chicken portion was so small, and the bread didn't taste fresh and needed salt/ more flavor. But overall, excellent meal!
Great customer service and the Food was amazing! Thanks again
Amazing food. Amazing service. Perfect for a business/group dinner.
Hill country charm with cozy fireplace & oak aroma. The Venison Osso Bucco was yummy. Wild mushrooms great. Order game inspired dishes. Service great.
Went to dinner for my husband's birthday, we had a so so meal. Not much flavor for the price. Coffee was spectacular and so was the service. Was too dark in the restaurant though.
Really lovely room. Nice Game menu ( antelope, bison, venison...). Service was so nice. I enjoyed the biscuits, so our waiter gave us extra to go!
This restaurant has been a wonderful experience EVERY TIME we’ve celebrated a special occasion. The entire experience warrants a 5 star rating. Thank you once again for an amazing anniversary dinner.
We have dined at Antlers Lodge many times and it never disappoints! The food, service and wonderful atmosphere set the stage for a magical 5th wedding anniversary celebration!
The chef was great! Before he could bring my husband's steak he recognized it was cooked incorrectly and resolved the issue. He took accountability and ownership for the error and this was very much appreciated! He was very humble and for this reason we will be going back many many times.
Our service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and courteous. Our meal was delicious, with our steaks prepared exactly as ordered. My son didn’t care for the kids macaroni, it was a gourmet cheese and he didn’t like it so he didn’t eat. Otherwise, the ambiance was quiet and uneventful, but pleasant. We will go back if we stay at the Hyatt again.
Great food and beverage best in San Antonio!
Greatest! Great food, great service!
We typically choose Antler's for our anniversary, and have been very pleased with the food, service, and ambiance.
This is a gorgeous restaurant with outstanding food and very professional service persons!
Very special ambience in a beautiful room with glowing fireplace. The steaks we had were terrific! And the steak chimichurri seasoning enhanced the flavor of our medium rare selection. We had the smoked cheese mashed potatoes and asparagus for sides. Very flavorful. A delightful evening and very memorable. The service was top notch!
New Years event for 4 of us was great. The menu was excellant, small crowd was perfect with .the roaring fireplace on an extremely cold night was also perfect. we extremely Loved the music that night. thank You
