Food was incredible. Loved the bread board at the beginning. I got the roasted chicken with carrots and it was well seasoned and beautifully cooked. My friend and I split the cauliflower which was also amazing. Would go there again! I was upset with the pricing until I tasted the food. Totally worth it.
Juan was are server and did an excellent job taking care of us. Had scallops over pork belly and grits... It was wonderful.
We took our family of six there for a special dinner. Our waiter for attentive and perceptive. The food was delicious and we had a lovely time.
The food was very good and well priced. We had a great time and didn’t feel rushed.
Food was excellent. The Texas Spice Rub Elk and the Filet Mignon were both cooked perfectly. The service was excellent to the point of almost being too attentive. Good food, good wine, good times!
My husband and I went to dinner at this restaurant because of the dishes they served which included game options. We had the Charcuterie board to start off with along with some complimentary bread and biscuits and flavored butters and it was beautifully presented. We ordered the Elk steak with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts and we weren't disappointed at all. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and warm. Fireplace. Huge antler chandelier. Nice warm lighting. Nice and quiet to enjoy dinner and conversation. I would recommend this place to any couple looking for a change of scenery. Our waiter was awesome and attentive to our every need. Thank you.
Great lighting/ambiance! Try the Elk - it’s delicious. We’ll be back.
Great ambiance & vibe. Good date night spot!
We were well served
It was raining when we arrived and one of the staff showed us where to dry up
We enjoyed an elegantly served meal in a timeless setting.
Christmas dinner was really delicious. It began with an amuse bouche from the chef and progressed to an array of fresh breads and whipped butters. We shared our entrees of perfectly cooked salmon and stuffed acorn squash with a couple of sides. No rush and perfect service.
This place is perfect for a special dinner.
We have dined at Antler’s Lodge and in general it has been an excellent experience. Unfortunately, our most recent visit can best be described as adequate and uneven. Service was okay, but not at the standards we had previously come to expect. Some entrees were very good while others were just okay. The New York strip was excellent but the filet, although cooked correctly, was somewhat dry and under seasoned. The real highlight of the meal was the roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta. It was just unfortunate the main proteins in the entrees did not live up to their accompanying sides.
The next time we come to San Antonio I am sure we will dine at Antler’s again, but only because of our previous experiences there. Otherwise, although I cannot say anything was particularly not good, given the prices they charge (and the previous excellent meals we have had there) I expect more.
Excellence at its best . Service was outstanding and the ambience was wonderful
This was our first visit and we were pleased.
Our server welcomed us and was familiar with every menu item we inquired about. Courses were not only prepared properly, they were served at the correct temperature, and at a good pace and dishes were cleared promptly.
We enjoyed the venison meatballs and antelope (nilgai) carpaccio appetizers, and our entrees of pork belly and scallops over grits and spiced elk over mushroom risotto were tasty.
The wine list was well-rounded and not marked up excessively.
Coffee was Ethiopian Sidamo prepared in a French press and desserts of blood orange cheesecake finished our meals perfectly.
Outstanding service and some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Fine dining at its best. The ribeye cap and the filet were perfectly cook, beautifully seasoned and melt in your mouth tender. The flash fried Brussels sprouts, with carmelized pieces of ham and sweet balsamic were probably the best vegetable I’ve ever tasted. One of the best experiences we’ve ever had.
Great. Food was outstanding. Wedge salad fresh
Everything from the food to the service was wonderful. Worth every dollar. I'm gluten and dairy free and they were more than happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions.
Good food. Excellent service. Great nice, elegant ambiance. Pricey but worth it.
I went to the Antlers Lodge for Thanksgiving dinner instead of cooking this year. Sadly, I could have prepared an entire feast for what the meals totaled, not to mention a $75 service charge. Food was delicious but wasn’t what I was expecting for $100 a person. Most items were barely warm, which was unfortunate. I recommend visiting AL on a non-holiday for steaks or other entrees.
Thanksgiving. Wonderful service and food.,,
Great food and service, we will be back!
The food was amazing. Our waiter was awesome. Definitely will recommend this establishment for others.
Nice restaurant and excellent service but the food is not good for how much you pay. The bone in rib eye was cold, had no flavor and I think it was just cooked on a grill. Sides were the same.
This restaurant is the best. Assisted with special menu due to a member in our party having food allergies and still provided awesome food and service
Great atmosphere. Delicious food.
Amazing as always! We eat here every time we are in town at the resort and it never disappoints. Juan was our server and he is so knowledgeable and accommodating and friendly. Their bread display in the beginning is so delicious and the steak was perfectly cooked. Try to Gorgonzola mornay with the steak!
Our waiter was fantastic- Adam. Restaurant was great. Had the elk entree - was interesting.
We had heard good things about Antlers so we booked a reservation for our last night at the hotel.
Unfortunately, our experience was less than we expected.
We were rushed to order, the drink order came out wrong, the steak was over cooked, the bread wasn't delivered, and we felt ignored?
Dessert options couldn't save the day!
Waiter never told us about specials. Drinks came fast, but potatoes were undercooked, gnocchi were dry. Bison brisket tasted like dry pot roast. Dessert was not any better. Definitely overpriced for the quality of food
It was the best filet steak I have ever had minus Japan’s Kobe beef in japan not American Kobe beef. Just saying;). Best steak in USA! Chef is amazing and ingredients count! One thing the deserts need a little work as after the steak desert was s big let down. I will be going back as again best steak I had and best kept secret in twown!
I heard about it as a super Restaurant; I went and I can confirm it. I can't wait to go back again.
Great food, however to have to wait for almost an hour was a bit excessive, Even though we weren’t in a rush. Didn’t seem overly crowded so not sure what was chai g the wait. Good food though in the end.
Great food and service.
Food was fabulous and service delightful. The venison meatballs, brussel sprouts and mac n cheese were amazing. The four people in our party all had a different entrees and we each thought it was one of the best meals we had ever eaten.
Great food, highly recommend the Seared Salmon and the Ribeye Cap. Our server was outstanding and even provided complimentary desert for our anniversary. Gluten free options are important to us and they had lots of choices. Chef must be gluten free to have so many options. Quality for the money. Will go again
We were the only table in the resturant, figured their mustve have been something else going on! Was still excellent across the board
The ambiance was inviting, kind of a snazzy, updated western feel. The lighting was warm and nice & set the mood perfectly. I had the salmon and it was delectable! I just loved the way that it was prepared, moist and succulent with great flavor. The kids present with us had the steak tips and just raved about the tenderness and their fantastic taste. A ringing endorsement from our children! The smoked cheddar mashed potatoes were also delicious and flavorful. A fellow diner had the filet and was equally impressed with it. I just thought that Antler's Lodge exceeded my expectations and made for a VERY enjoyable evening out.
Great atmosphere and meal! We always eat here when we visit the National Shooting Complex!
I was not impressed at all. I did enjoy our waiter Juan. He was funny.
Our server was very attentive. Chicken fried oysters were very well prepared however there was not quite enough sauce at the bottom. Veal gnocchi was so so, kind of one dimensional. New York steak was cooked well, however not quite seasoned enough, and the Mac and cheese was very bland. Not a bad meal, but not worth what we paid.
