Food was so delicious. Had the chicken parm. Was cooked to perfection. Desserts are yummy as well.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is not as heavy as most Italian restaurants and always fresh. Yesterday we had the beet salad (one of my favorites) and spring vegetable risotto with shrimp. Service was attentive and excellent.
Birthday dinner for my husband w/ two daughters joining us. The salmon risotto, Gnocchi, beef medallions and chicken parm were delicious w/ a bottle of cab and a birthday dessert courtesy of restaurant.
Great night-thank you Antico Posto.
Had the brussel sprouts with arrabiata sauce to start. Flavor was good but there was a distinct lack of spice which is the very definition of the sauce. Thankfully the server told me their gnocchi is made with ricotta cheese which is turn off, but the cavatelli with sausage was an excellent alternative.
We always love Antico Posto! Great food, lively atmosphere, and the servers are the best. The shrimp linguine was outstanding, and the spinach and avocado salad is one of my favorites. Wine selection is good and very reasonably priced. Can't wait for the outdoor patio this summer. The only downside this time was that we were treated very rudely by the hostess (older lady with long blond hair) when we asked for a table away from the door.
My wife & Ienjoyed a date night at our go to Oak Brook spot. Antico has very good food, a comfortable atmosphere and good service. It was a favorites night from the menu: ravioli, caprese salad, & whitefish. But, as luck would have it, the star or the evening was the raspberry chocolate gelato. All their house-made gelatos are good, but raspberry chocolate is spectacular. We were happy to be there when that was the gelato of the day !
Great service. Pasta was delicious!
The food was delicious and came out fairly quick for being a busy Sunday night. Our waiter was on top of everything and was very personable, which put us at ease throughout the meal. All in all, no complaints. Very good food and service. The appetizers were probably the highlight of the meal: meatballs, brussel sprouts, and grilled calamari.
Best Italian place around! Amazing food!
The atmosphere was nice but the food was not that good.
We came for my mom and brother’s birthdays for a dual celebration. We brought in a cake and was charged a cake cutting fee but it wasn’t a big deal. The food was phenomenal, everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. The portion sizes were PERFECT. We ordered coffee with dessert and it was maybe the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had. They even gave us an extra dessert on the house. Our server was VERY nice, but not the most attentive. Overall we had pleasant experience and can’t wait to come back with a smaller group next time.
The tables were very crowded. Whenever someone would walk by, they would bump my friends chair. The food was just okay.
Great service. Amazing meal
Cozy restaurant with nice ambiance and authentic Italian food.
THE best gnocchi in the world...that I've found so far!
Disappointed. Pizza selection extremely limited. We tried the mushroom bianca—didn’t come out like what was described on the menu.maybe should’ve tried something else—— but placard over outside windows said oven baked pizza—-but not many options nor would they alter the 5 pizzas they offered. Salads were good. Dark Cocolate geloto was not dark chocolate.
the food exquisite service very good,. been there many times, never disappointed
Best Bolognese sauce! Reasonable prices. Good service
they seem to be somewhat overwhelmed on sunday night... service was unusually slow
As usual everything was top notch...service, food, value. Even though they were crazy crowded we didn't feel neglected and the food certainly didn't reflect the crowd. Outstanding
Service wasn’t as good as it usually is. It’s one of our favorite restaurants
We arrived early for our reservation and were seated 15 minutes early which was nice. Ambiance was okay. The polenta fries were quite good and the eggplant Parmesan was ok too. I had the gnocchi bolognese and while the bolognese was good, the gnocchi were awful. Very doughy and barely lukewarm inside. I kept trying to get someone’s attention to send it back or get something else but I couldn’t. Our server was rather abrupt and checked on us a little as possible. They kept walking back and forth past our table but didn’t glance over to see if anything was needed.
Definitely won’t be returning
First trip to Antico Posto, and overall very happy with our decision to try it. We were seated in our requested booth within five minutes of our reservation time which was great as they were very busy. Interestingly, we both ordered the Linguine with shrimp, but my wife asked to have just small amount of red chili’s on her dish. When the meals were served, it seriously looked like two completely different dishes as she had no sun dried tomatoes, none of the breadcrumbs and other garnishes, and very little basil on hers; while mine had all of the preceding. Both dishes tasted good, just strange that they were so different but the same dish minus chili’s. Thus we rate four stars for food. The olive oil dip and bread served before the meal is outstanding! Service was very good, but had to pour our wine a couple of times, so gave four stars. We will definitely return as we loved the bustling atmosphere and solid food/Service.
I ordered the grilled calamari and told them to make it well done. They somewhat browned it on the edge, wasn’t well done. Our waiter was for crap, not tenative at all nor did he ever ask how our meal was. We had to ask to refil our drinks.
Entree’s were fine. But I’ll never go back
Always a great place, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu
Always enjoy my dinner experience at Antico Posto. I like the food and the atmosphere. Menu is on the limited side. I would like to see a few more specials for the weekend crowd.
This was our first time at Antico Posto and we will definitely be back. It was very busy, but we had reservations and were seated immediately upon our arrival. The food was excellent. Fresh bread with olive oil, Parmesan, and olives are served at every table. We had the pistachio crusted white fish, the sea scallops, and spinach ravioli, along with a caprese salad. For dessert we had cannolis and the pistachio gelato. Pastas and gelato are made in house. Server was knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive.
I just love the food here. Good choice of wine. Great deserts
Had a late Saturday lunch for 4. Place was busy, but our server did a great job of moving things along to keep us on schedule. Changed my order to the special of scallops which was outstanding. My wife loved her pizza and beet salad while our guests also were pleased with their selections. Reasonably priced. Will be back soon.
Antico Posto is a very comfortable and attractive restaurant. The menu offers great choices and the service is fantastic. I especially like their polenta fries and had the eggplant on my last visit and it was delicious. My friend and I wanted to share the dish and the server offered to split it and serve 2 plates.
The food was delicious!
Love the food and service. Great place
Antico Posto is a great place to dine with family, friends or for a nice date. The food and wine are excellent! The only recommendation I would make for them is to provide more dessert options. Maybe add a cheesecake or warm chocolate chip cookie or an ice cream pie. Their desserts aren’t that great.
Delicious food as always and kind tentative waiter. Always a great spot for date night, or any night!
Love the daily specials, especially Italian Pot Roast! Great wait staff.
Friend and I celebrating common birthdays. I was asked when reservation made if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we checked in we were greeted with Happy Birthday greeting by hostess. I thought maybe we would receive a celebration dessert. Instead we were handed the dessert menu after dinner. There were birthdays in the restaurant so I assume our waiter was never told. Everything else about the dinner and service was perfect.
Always great food and always great service. One of our very favorites places to dine.
I took my husband to Antico Posto for lunch for his first time. He really liked it! Food was great and so was our server!
Met my friend here for lunch where we ordered the mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto for an appetizer along with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Such a good small bite before our salads. I ordered chicken Caesar salad and she ordered the beet salad. Both of us loved our meals and the service was really good. He checked in enough without hovering. I recommend making reservations when possible because it gets busy. I definitely recommend Antico Posto.
