Antica Posta Ratings and Reviews
Took my wife for our 15th Anniversary last Friday. We had an early reservation (6:30). The restaurant was empty when we arrived so we started out a little nervous. It turns out it is just a later crowd for sure at Antica Posta. The restaurant was thriving by 7:30. For the food, well, I go to Italy 2 times a year at least and this is the closest place to a true Italian restaurant in Atlanta. The food is just amazing, authentic and fresh. I will be telling everyone about Antica Posta and I will be going there always when I need a good fix of Italy! Dont think twice, GO!
I saw the next day that my reservation to Antica Posta was cancelled for last night. That was very interesting because I ate there and spent about $160.
When I was leaving, I was asked how I liked the meal. I said "It was OK." He asked again, and I said the same thing. We went out to wait for the car. The server can running out and asked me what was wrong and was the service OK. I said the two things I ordered (appetizer octopus and scallops) had too much sugar on them in the sauce, and I would not be back again but the service was fine. My guess is that this reservation was cancelled because he (whoever that was) did not want a negative review on Open Table.
It has been a while since we've eaten here and I was extremely happy to find that the service, food and atmosphere are even better than previously experienced!
They treat you warmly while still giving you privacy - a delicate balancing act.
The food is FRESH every time and the selection is outstanding - a rarity, in my experience, with Italian restaurants.
* Highest recommendation! *
Thanks, Antica Posta.
It was my partners birthday and we had a private event downstairs. It was a great time!!!! The staff was so amazing and friendly, the food perfect and the environment of the restaurant was ideal. Thank you for helping create a unique and enjoyable experience!
Outstanding meal as always at Antica Posta. We used to dine here more regularly but sadly moved farther away and this was our first time back in several months but we were pleased to find that nothing has changed -- same delicious food and outstanding service as always. This is a restaurant that is worth the drive even from another part of town.
We ordered a bottle of wine and while all four of us were going to drink the wine the server emptied the bottle on the first pour. Not good. You never do this as some at the table may not drink as much as others. Also you want to savor the wine for at least a little bit.
The service was very good though not flawless. The food in general was very bland, one plate the Shrimp fra diavola was good, the swordfish was flavorless, everything else pretty ordinary. I was disappointed because I selected this restaurant for my birthday dinner based on the reviews and it really came as very overrated.
Love this place. I prefer sitting in the bar area but we were escorted to the back dining room. It was rather noisy so when we were seated in the farthest corner, where it was more quiet I was happy. The food is always wonderful. The service is very attentive. No room for dessert...
Homemade ravioli was a winner. The bronzino was delicious. I had the New Zealand lamb chops. They were fantastic!!
Fantastic restaurant with excellent food. First time visitor to Antica Posta for us. We have several Northern Italian restaurants that we like to frequent. Thought we would try something new and we were not disappointed. Antica is a fantastic family owned restaurant with excellent food and excellent service. The owner (Marco) came to visit us personally while we were seated at the bar. David and Morgan Freeman (not his real name, I just can't remember now) at the bar took very good care of us including giving each of us a glass of limoncello as we were first time visitors. I had the Osso Bucu and Debbie had the Ribeye steak. We will definitely be back. Very good wine list, fantastic menu.
