Seated quuckly, great, attentive service by Giorgio and others...I'll definitely be back. Everything was delicious.
Very nice restaurant and very good food. Excellent complementary apperetivos and post-meal grappas. Giorgio was an excellent host. I do suggest that menu on OpenTable needs to be updated--several items on the OT menu were not on the menu at restaurant and actual prices were 10-15% higher than stated on OT.
It was one of the best little restaurant I’ve eaten at!
Great food, attentive service and nice wine selection
The food was very good. I had not expected to ever write a review about a cannoli, but that was the only item we ordered for desert and all three of us agreed it was the best we have ever had. Also, the cappuccino was excellent and perhaps in the same category. Stefano was our waiter, and was personable and very attentive.
The food was delicious and the willingness of the chef to make an off-the-menu-putanesca sauce for my friend was a real treat--she said it recalled the time she spent in Italy. The service is superb and if you can get Stefano for your waiter, DO SO. I'd recommend it to anyone!
The wait staff is very attentive especially Stefano. I would recommend if you are looking for a good quaint Italian restaurant.
Geni was great. Not too over the top but it’s a casual kids friendly restaurant.
Food was good, but just good - not great. Service was horrible, not bad - HORRIBLE! If you want to go to a place where the waiters make you feel like you’re annoying them just for being there, then go for it.
Great atmosphere, service, and dinner! Georgio was very accommodating and provded great recommendations. Would definitely go back.
This place is great for business meetings. The staff is always helpful but not intrusive. The food is excellent. I highly recommend the place.
Try to resist the intro pre app. morsels of hot peppers, Parmiggiano, dried sausage and seasoned dried zucchini. Whatever else you eat, make sure you leave room for the Porterhouse steak, yes....steak. You have to go a long way to get a better one even in this City of iconic steakhouses. Sammy and Elio run a professional show and the service is impeccable.
Yummy fresh pasta
Loved this place. The service, food, and ambience are fantastic. Upon arrival, the waiter brought over complimentary sopressata, reggiano, shishito peppers and fried zucchini. Delicious. Will be back.
We enjoyed our experience. The only issue was the food was heavy on the salt.
Had a lovely meal, Geni gave us wonderful service and a fantastic evening.
Phenomenal food. The antipasto at the beginning and bread is a very nice touch. The wine suggested was great. My kids split angel hair pasta and both liked it. My wife had the pesto gnocchi and I had the chicken Marsala. It was all spot on and piping hot. The wait staff was super attentive and Geni did a fantastic job taking care of us. The apricot grappa on the house was also phenomenal. Don’t hesitate to stop by Antica for some great food when downtown in NYC.
Second time I’ve been to Antica and what I have to say I’m most impressed with is the consistency. I’ve now tasted the Carbonara and the Mushroom Risotto twice and both times they were incredibly flavorful. The wait staff is amazing. Very playful and very glad to have you. Geni in particular was very fun as our server.
Wonderful dinner experience. Perfectly prepared food, so tasty and fresh. Pricey, all things considered, but not unreasonable. Will come back!
Food was excellent in my opinion! I did not rate outstanding just because New Yorkers can have extremely high standards. But I would recommend this restaurant to anyone without hesitation.
Authentic Italian cuisine, light, flavorful. Excellent table service. Lovely and quiet when we were there on a Sunday night so ideal for our business meal. the only drawback to me is that the restrooms are a trek, out of restaurant into hotel lobby, up the elevator to the 2nd floor. Such a fancy restaurant should really consider restrooms closer.
I will definitely go here again when in NY for business. We had the specials which were pricier than most of the menu, but our bad for not asking the price. I would have still ordered it though and it was delicious--swordfish livornese.
Giorgio and the rest of the staff were amazing!
Food was delicious. Would highly recommend!
After a 5 minute or so wait for our Saturday night reservation, we were shown to a tiny table next to a pillar. Service was slow and perfunctory. We started with sparking water ($9.00 for a 1 L bottle). My wife said she might have a glass of wine later, but we were never offered a list, so we passed. The place was quite loud. The tables were so close that the hood of another guest's coat draped on her seatback rested on our table. The food was tasty (red snapper and veal picata) and arrived hot.
Some time after our plates were removed, a waiter finally came by and asked if we wanted anything else. I asked for a dessert menu, and he replied "We have cheesecake and chocolate mousse" We were not offered coffee or tea. And, did I say, the place was LOUD? Two dinners, 1 soup, 1 appetizer, 1 Pelegrino, no alcohol: about $120. A little pricy for a lackluster experience, IMHO.
Wonderful restaurant, food was great so was the wine. Georgio was an amazing host. Best Italian meal in Manhattan! Love the place!!
I went with family in town for the weekend. When we got there, we were seated near the bar which was pretty noisy until the private party started, and then it quieted right down. The service was excellent, the food was great, I was surprised it was so good being inside a hotel. Kind of a small area and might be a little cramped when it’s full up. Definitely would recommend it. Also, Google maps is not helpful trying to find it. It’s inside the Doubletree Hotel on Stone Street.
Best lunch place in FiDi - amazing staff . Spectacular presentation of daily specials. Have been there 5 times and never looked at the menu - specials do not disappoint!
We were at Antica for a business dinner. It was a great experience. Georgio was an excellent server and my guest thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I had the seared Ahi Tuna Steak and it was great. Everyone else enjoyed their dinners and appetizers and well - Jack
Great meal, service was awesome! We will be back.
We came here for a late lunch 2 years ago and enjoyed it so much we had to stop by again on another visit to Wall Street recently. It was such a treat. The staff is incredibly attentive, Geni took great care of us! Delicious appetizers, homemade pasta and perfect deserts and cappuccino to end. It is a treat for us but it is comfortable enough to bring our kids, who loved it too. Well he back!
Impeccable service and fantastic food!
The wait staff made us feel welcome and appreciated, even on an otherwise busy night (Valentines Day). Special shout out to Stefano, who was an absolute pleasure.
Found this little Italian spot on open table and the service here was outstanding. Stefano was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had along with the rest of the staff. The food was delicious, they had a special menu for Valentine’s Day and my only suggestion is they add that menu to full time. Definitely will be back
We had a wonderful time celebrating our first Valentines Day. The Food, service, area was beyond of what we expected. Stephon was very professional and the rest of the staffs as well. Definitely coming back.
Giorgio and Stefano are excellent waiters and often checked in on us to see if we needed anything.
The Carbonara and Risotto are delicious!
Thank you for a lovely birthday dinner.
I was referred by a client of mine to this amazing Italian restaurant. Food and service was absolutely stunning. Over all we felt very special when we saw that the owner was actually walking around and checking if everything was good. Loved the atmosphere! Will be back for sure.
Extremely hospitable with welcome snacks upon arrival and a complimentary after dinner flavored grappa! Great service with at times 3-4 people tending the table.
Very Attentive Staff but let us all relax and enjoy out meal.
Derive was terrible. Sat for almost 40 min before our order was taken. A four top was sat after us and got their food and left before we even got our entree course. The manager came and asked us how our meal was before we even got our appetizers. Our server refused to come back to our table after taking our first order and we ended up having a buser take our entree order and the check had to be taken care of my a manager. This was a terrible experience and was incredibly unwelcoming.
Stefano was our server, and took great care of my party. We were a large party of 13 on a rainy day. All of my clients enjoyed the meal and were impressed with the soothing and classy atmosphere, and attentive but not intrusive service. Delicious food and great selection.
Truly a hidden gem of a restaurant.
Definitely will be back! Thank you, Stefano & team. We had a lovely time.
I had eaten at Ancora in their old location about 10 years ago and loved it. Shortly after when I wanted to return they had disappeared. I stumbled on their new name and location and decided to see if it was still as good as before. I entertained a large group of my business colleagues there with dinner and everyone gave it a big thumbs up. I will definitely return and would highly recommend.
