Anthony's Prime Steak & Seafood Ratings and Reviews
We chose Anthony's for my 50th birthday. The restaurant was a little busy but we were accommodated slightly before our reservation. We were seated at a nice table by the window which we appreciated.
Our server was very, very nice but seemed to 'disappear' at times. His associates were more than capable to ensure that we did not have to wait long for refills or the food.
We LOVED the tastes of our entrees! This was my time trying business and I thought it was fantastic. The sea bass was stellar as well. The side dishes were just OK, however. The mashed potatoes were just bland, for example.
The staff were very kind to bring chocolate covered strawberries as a 'gift' for my birthday. Also, my mom asked for some vanilla ice cream. The server brought three scoop; one for each of us. Very thoughtful!!
Great food and ambiance! The menu is simple but extremely well prepared the chef does an excellent job! Also ask for the special as the often have some variety of meats like bison.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable plus a great view through the windows overlooking the Las Vegas strip! A must go restaurant in Vegas!
being seated at the front area of the restaurant wasn't good. you really need a separate dining room. seems that we were in a comfortable booth with a view of the lounge and prep kitchen more than in the dining room. tony our server was excellent. the food was excellent except for the dover soul........medium. frozen fish is never good, but we did enjoy our experience.
Absolutely the only "flaw" in this otherwise perfect meal was that it was my husband's birthday which unfortunately falls on Christmas Eve...so I try my best to make the 24th be all about his birthday and, although I'd notified Anthony's that this was a birthday celebration and there was a big 'B' circled on our 'place card', it was never again mentioned and the tiny surprise I'd hoped for at the end of the meal never appeared. But...my husband loved every part of the meal from beginning to end...and that's an extreme rarity. My medium filet was cooked perfectly! My wedge salad was full of delicious surprises and his Shrimp/Crab Louis salad was even better. He loved his sole and the potato/onion side dish...oh, my. Generous pour on the wine as well. We'll definitely be back!
The steaks are always excellent - their standard 9 oz. filet mignon is superb - no need to order the more expensive prime cut, this was an excellent piece of beef! We went this time for Christmas Eve. It was fairly crowded, noisier and a bit slower than non-holiday times we have dined there. Nonetheless, the service was very good and the food was excellent! The extensive wine list is impressively priced, but if you choose one of the more reasonable wines (under $40), you will not be disappointed. It's all about the steak - and that makes Anthony's one of my favorite area restaurants.
Anthony's sets the bar very high and always meets my expectations! Christmas Eve was no exception with a great staff, wonderful waiters and delicious food. We tried the fish soup and it was wonderful! We were never rushed...attentive, but not overly so...just right! We had a very enjoyable time. Can't wait to return for more good times!
Its our favorite place to eat Great quality steaks. Whenever we want to go somewhere special we go to Anthony's. We have been there numerous times before.
They have wonderful friendly service and its quiet enough to have a wonderful conversation with someone special or special occasion.
We cannot wait to go there again.
Location is key at restaurant when seating. The food is priced by protein then sides. The prime rib we had was tender and flavorful. Yet needed spices a little bit more had to be put lots of back pepper. Overall ok but nothing out of this world. It was expensive need to be prepared but all fine dining is.
We have gone here a hand full of times and this time I felt it just wasn't worth the money. We went there to celebrate a birthday and this time the meat just wasn't tender and it was fatty.
Before it just melted in your mouth this time you really had to chew to get it down, I am sure the next time we will consider going somewhere else but we will try Anthony's again i'am sure.
The quality of the meat seems to have changed with the new ownership. The oysters rockefeller was wonderful. The chopped salad had lettuce that was turning. The great piece of bison tenderloin was ruined by the soggy, fatty piece of bacon wrapped around it and the onion sauce on top was overwhelming and took away from the quality of the meat.
Dinner was a very good experience, had a small family gathering that started with cocktails from the bar. Appetizers including salads and oysters on the half shell which where very tasty. For dinner we had steaks, prime rib and crab legs. The crab legs were split open and large sized. Overall a great dinner and very easy to have conversations without the room being too loud.
I have frequented Anthony’s for numerous years - celebrations , holidays etc. this year my family gathered for Thanksgiving. Two of us ordered the athanksgiving meal @ $50 pp and the 3rd in our party ordered a prime steak, ala carte salad, baked potato and dessert. Needless to say the meal was over $200.
The thanksgiving meal was served with a pumpkin bisque, although I received lobster bisque. I switched for my brothers chopped side salad which was tasteless and soggy.
The turkey dinner was slopped with a couple scoops of mashed potatoes, topped with green beans, topped with turkey, topped with gravy - cranberries on the side. Stacked and tasteless. No stuffing, no sweet potatoes. This was one of the worse meals I have ever eaten on a holiday.
As indicated our family had dined here for years. The restaurant just is not up to par and we’ll be choosing another restaurant in the future.
What a shame for this experience.
