I can't recall the last time my dinner companion complained about his food, but he did last night. This place is a neighborhood regular for us so we knew what to expect. Unfortunately we were surprised. He ordered the Filet Oscar and I had the lamb chops. I was fine with my food but he was not. It was topped with some mysterious creamy sauce and he couldn't identify it, we had to ask. We were told it was crab. It didn't taste anything like crab I suspect it was imitation and he scrapped it off. The meat was tender but had absolutely no flavor. He was disappointed. then the insult came, the bill. Paying over $200 for a dinner you enjoyed is acceptable but for a meal that disappoints you is outrageous! Sadly, it might be awhile before we return

I guess I was expecting more. Lobster was good the first piece of prime rib was good. Second not so much I wanted medium rare. And got well well done. I don’t think the carving station girl had a lot of experience. Some items were cold. The crab claws really were not very good. I made sure to eat $99 dollars worth of lobster. Once and done for me.

I was very excited to try this buffet, as it had gotten very good reviews. Unfortunately, I was left a little disappointed. The stars of the brunch the lobster tails and beef wellington were both underwhelming. The lobster was broiled (I prefer steamed} and were overcooked and mushy. The beef, although flavorful with a good pastry crust and filling , was a little overcooked as well. I prefer rare to medium rare, and it was mostly medium rare to medium. The rack of lamb was the one shining star. The cook was perfect, as was the seasoning. The lobster bisque was also very good, even though sitting out for a while. The rest of the items tried, pasta, breakfast sausage, etc., were also mediocre.
