Anthony's Pier 66 Ratings and Reviews
The service is fantastic, with everyone tuned to make everything perfect. Additionally, our guest lost one of his hearing aides as we departed.
Adam, traced our path..down the elevator, out of the building (in rain!) and found it at the crosswalk. He was immediately responsive and kind. He waited for our friend to return and handed it to our friend...clean & dry!. Couldn't have been kinder to us.
Such a disappointment! The food was alright, but the service is what made me question why we wanted to come here... terrible table attention, leaving dishes, masses of wine glasses, and unusable candles on many tables. Server kept saying “no problem” to anything we said.... it was laughable. Dark, cold atmosphere, and when we asked why the candles were not lit, mr “no problem” just said, “we ran out a long time ago.” What a WASTE of an evening!!
We decided to come here for my husbands birthday, descent reviews and a menu that looked good. We were highly disappointed. Food was super underwhelming (crab was cold, oh and it is served with fries that were obviously from the freezer), the fish dish my husband ordered was actually pretty good though (redeeming for a minute..).
There were several other service issues I won't get into, but overall not worthy of a place whose menu prices average over $35.
The experience overall made us feel like they treat everyone like a tourist (someone who won't return). Go to Ivars, it's 1000 times better.
I arrived before my two guests and ordered a drink. I pointed out to the waiter that there was a dirty greasy spot directly in front of me that needed to be cleaned. My guests arrived and they ordered a drink. My drink arrived the table was never cleaned. My friends drinks took a long time to be delivered. I don't understand the delay because we had an early reservation and there were only two other tables with guests. I had the ahi tuna that tasted good and the presentation was beautiful but the entire dish was barely warm. One of my friends had the swordfish steak that was mushy in texture. It should have been solid. The waiter was not attentive and we had to get his attention to order another drink. By the time we were done all the other tables were full and the room was noisy and loud. To add insult we had validated parking at the Art Institute across the street. We were given vouchers however the vouchers did not cover the parking cost and each of us had to pay an additional $5 to get our cars out. This was my first and last time at Anthony's Pier 66 upstairs. I've never had a bad time at the downstairs Diner.
I do not like seafood usually, but I enjoy it at Anthony's! I ordered the swordfish this time and it was juicy and delicious. Everything is so fresh there, no fishy taste at all! It is quite expensive, though, especially since there is now a 4% surcharge on top of your tax and tip, so if you tip 20% regularly, that is a hefty markup on the menu price. Unfortunately, this means we will not be back soon. But if you can afford it, the food is awesome!
We had a gift certificate and have dined here before. So having the certificate did the whole deal - appetizers, salads, main course and dessert. we probably would have been more frugal without the certificate. Although they are known for seafood our daughter loved her steak. Cioppino was good as was the crab fettucine. Caesar salad was over-dressed but had a yummy onion crunchy wafer on top. Crab cocktail and calamari good. Our server Debbie was outstanding. Very attentive and charming but not obtrusive and quick with any requests. It is hard to find restaurants these days where you can actually have a conversation and it is quiet enough here to enjoy the downtown water and ferris wheel view and enjoy your guests. (however the Anthonys in Tacoma....way too noisy). We took our dessert home for breakfast since we had so much to eat and it was great.
I was traveling by myself and found it a fine place to dine alone. There were small and large tables of business dinners which is understandable as the prices are moderately high. I had the scrumptious seasonal salad and the crab cakes. The crab cakes could have been a bit more flavorful and their texture was too smooth. But I did enjoy the recommended Pearl Sauvignon Blanc with my meal. And the view is quite nice.
We we're at first seated in a booth and asked for a window table. The staff member told us to return to the entrance while a table was prepared, even though the restaurant was empty and the tables were set. Five minutes latter we were seated. The salmon was good, but tasted like it soaked in butter.
I noticed a waiter make a disgruntled face towards the hostess when she was showing us to our table. I remember thinking that I hope we don’t get him as our waiter. To my disappointing surprise he WAS our waiter. He was condescending when someone from our table asked him a question about an entree or his opinion on wine. Also, I noticed that the garnish fell off the glass of the ordered cocktail on his way to our table and he didn’t bother to replace it. Presentation is everything!
I ordered the grilled Salmon and halibut entree. It tasted so bland. It had no flavor whatsoever. I added salt and pepper but even that didn’t help! Simply awful food. My friend ordered the cioppino and there were only 2 clams, 2 mussels and some fish but mostly sauce was plentiful.
It was a very disappointing birthday dinner celebration! Most definitely will not be returning nor will I be recommending this restaurant. It was a terrible experience!
Had a beautiful evening celebrating my fiancé’s birthday. We have visited all levels of Anthony’s for several years- we live in California’s SF Bay Area and every time we visit wonderful Seattle, we always make a reservation at Anthony’s. In fact, we like it better than most of our Bay Area spots! Always delicious with genuinely enjoyable service. It never disappoints!
First, we sat at the upstairs bar to have a couple drinks and enjoy the sunset. Perfect. Drinks were made efficiently and oh so tasty. I recommend the pomegranate cosmo- not too sweet, just the right amount of citrus.
Then we dined at a table by the window overlooking the marina. Great atmosphere. Our meal was amazing- no joke! We had the calamari- crisp and flavorful. Followed by the chowders... yum! My fiancé ordered the clam chowder and loved it. I had the crab and corn chowder- more like a sweet and savory bisque with a generous amount of crab and delicious piece of corn bread. To die for!!
Entrees were Alaskan Crab legs and filet mignon- cooked to perfection! We shared, which was perfect! The crab legs were so full of flavor that we didn’t even need the drawn butter... needless to say, every bit was accompanied by a blissful moan of satisfaction- yup- THAT GOOD!
Icing on the cake- literally the victory dark chocolate cake. The ice cream alone; I could have taken home a pint! Not to mention the mouth watering butter scotch caramel sauce- drool!!
And the service made it all perfect. Our server was genuine, accommodating, and made the whole dining superb.
No, this is not a meal we eat often, but what an amazing treat! Would be great even just to sit and have apps and drinks at the bar. Can’t wait to come back again in a few months!
Thank you, Anthony’s!
Came here for Restaurant Week and ordered off the prix fixe menu. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and tasted great. Wine flight was very nice addition to the meal. Good value given the $33 deal. Nice ambiance, attentive service. Would definitely return.
The restaraunt server was fanominal...great suggestions on food, by. just looking at us. Which was very fun, and very accurate. The Wines were wonderful and the food was cooked to perfection, served at the appropriate temperatures.
A wonderful place to be valued as a friend of food, ambience and overall experience.
The food was just okay. Good, but nothing to write home about. Waiter attention was slow to nonexistent. They got the order wrong as well. They also seated us at the worst table in the house, despite having many open tables. We were next to the kitchen, with a very loud fan, so loud we could barely talk over it
