Anthony's HomePort - Kirkland Ratings and Reviews
Meeting old friends after 50 years. Hostess was gracious about seating us out of sun glare but with nice lake view. Pretty quiet at 5 pm, building to loud later as restaurant filled up. Wait staff was wonderful about giving us time to visit before and after eating. Food very good, but that really wasn't the focus. Overall excellent experience.
The two fish dishes we had were very average. The mussel appetizer was very good.
The blackened fish was covered on both sides with heavy seasoning which simply disguised the taste of the fish. The sides of rice and snap peas was also merely adequate.
Having said that, the window table viewing the sunset was awesome.
Cheesecake dessert was very good too
I would recommend the restaurant but give caveats regarding the fish.
Good wine menu.
Good meal, great water front view. Service was very good, no rush, there when you needed something without being pushy. We have celebrated our anniversary at Anthony's (52 years) the past several years and enjoyed each experience. One of the few places I can get good fresh trout, a favorite of mine.
A great location in downtown Kirkland. It is on the lake side with good views of Lake Washington and the marina. All most all on the seating has water views. I like the menu with a good variety of seafood and steaks, but mostly seafood. My wife had the crab cakes and loved them. She said that it was one of the best she has had. I got the Seafood Pasta which was made up of three large shrimp, three muscles, three little neck clams and three scallops. It was very good also.
The overall dinning experience was excellent. We were seated exactly when we had the reservation for and they fulfilled out request for a window seat. The staff was courteous, efficient and found a good balance between checking in with us and letting us dine undisturbed. The food arrived hot and was an excellent balance of spices, variety and creativity
We received different menus and each had some different items and some had different prices on the same item. I was told the lowest cost would be honored when paying for the meal, but when I got home and looked at the bill, I do not think that was the case. The food is always good as was the service, but this was a little disconcerting.
Great for Sunday brunch with plenty of healthy choices as well as the typical eggs and Bacon. Their blueberry coffee cake is to die for and it comes along with a fruit plate for the table. This is a consistently good dining option for any meal. Plus a view of lake Washington.
We celebrated Father's Day with a special dinner on Saturday evening. The greeting staff always so friendly, and accommodating. My husband has difficulty walking, and they advised us they seat us at a table so that there were no stairs to negotiate. We were seated at a lovely table with a window view. Our waiter shared with us that he was fairly new to the restaurant staff, but his service and attention to detail were spot on. Hopefully our dining experience is just one in his successful career with Anthony's! As usual all of our meal selections were perfectly prepared and perfectly served. Again our favorite, the crab cakes, were just the best! The wine tasting selection of Rose wines was delicious and fun. Thank you for another great dining experience!
Dinner (sunset dinner) was great except for our blue cheese dressed salads - the blue was nowhere to be found...and shrimp were pretty sparse - salad needs improvement. All else was up to Anthony's high standards -ps - we tried the steak on the sunset dinner and will repeat that - it was delicious! Server was ok - he checked in before we had tried a bite and then was largely absent - but he was personable.
Booked a reservation on my phone, wound up with a table for 4 at the window. Spectacular view! Was busy when we arrived, thinned out an hour later. Valet parking was top notch. When we left, our car was at the elevator door, valet's were extremely polite. Restaurant service was excellent, food was terrific, cost was very reasonable ($152 with tip for four adults). Menu was good, fresh sheet was great. We really enjoyed dinner there, will definitely go again.
Food was generally pretty good. Service was slow and error prone. They asked us to order our mains before our drinks even arrived, acknowledging that the drinks were slow and should have been there. But then it was still another 10 minutes - so even though they noticed the problem, they made very little effort to correct it. Ultimately, it was probably 20 minutes between when we ordered drinks and them arriving. Oddly, the bottle of wine we ordered with our mains arrived well before the drinks we had ordered only a few minutes after sitting down. A couple of other mistakes as well - just very clear that they were struggling to handle service on a busy Saturday night.
Interior and view of marina were nice. Our table (for 4) was cramped and near service area that was sometimes noisy when they were busing tables.
Their bus-staff needs to be better all-around! I go to Anthony's quite a bit, and they are usually very good. But, my seat was dirty at my table, glasses for water had lipstick, and I literally had to grab the busboy to get his attention. The food was good, but it didn't come out right away because it was not hot; the plate may have been, but the food was obviously sitting there too long. They need to better, or I'm going someplace else.
My nephew from California was visiting and his mom wanted to have the family meet at a good restaurant with a view. So I chose Anthony's because we consistently like the food and since we were coming early, we were able to get a window table. All in all everyone enjoyed the meal.
The food was great, they got us window seating as asked but made it a little uncomfortable for tables around us, it took our group to help them get it sorted out and it did. Dinner was great, not sure if our waitress was new or not but she did an okay job. Food was really good for the price, view was wonderful...overall great would have given a 4.5 if we had not had to deal with the seating situation but it all worked out:)
