Anthony's HomePort - Kirkland Ratings and Reviews
We have been going to Anthony's for special occasions for over 30 years, and it has always been a very special place for our family. This time was very disappointing. My wife's crab cakes (she has always loved them) tasted fishy, and weren't fresh. My salmon was good. The prices seemed to have gone up significantly in the last year, and seem to be over the top expensive. Unfortunately, we won't be going back to Anthony's.
The atmosphere is really nice being on Lake Washington. Beautiful.
Every Anthony's Homeport we have been to has been an excellent dining experience. From the Manila clams, tasty salads, and beautifully-cooked and presented main dishes, to the seasonal and delicious desserts, we've always been pleasantly impressed. Add to that an well thought-out wine list and attentive service, eating at Anthony's makes for a great dinner out.
I have been a customer of Anthonys Restaurant for many years, but have not visited the restaurant for over 12 months. I had a birthday occasion and decided to revisit. The waterfront view is excellent, the restaurant was buzzing. I ordered a prawn and rice meal and wine which I was disappointed with. The high price of the meal did not compare to the entree that was served. The rice mixture wasnt cooked thoroughly and the portion of the prawn mixture was small.
I dont believe Anthony's will be a favorite restaurant in the future.
Very pleasant experience. We got a table with gorgeous lake view at sunset time. The waitress greeted us warmly and the food is tasty. The only disappointment is that the grilled fish was over-cooked the first time. But they got it replaced and offered desserts for free. We are very satisfied with the restaurant.
Anthony's always delivers, and our most recent meal was no exception. The food is consistently excellent, the service superb and the view can't be beat. We've dined at Anthony's for years, hosted special gatherings and enjoyed family celebrations. It's terrific every time.
Wonderful service from the time I made reservations through to the last bite of the brunch. Food was fantastic - fresh peach crepes! Yumm!! Perfect table for two in a corner by a window with a full view of the marina and lake. Doesn't get any better than that!!
We often chose Anthony's Homeport in Kirkland when we want a tasty meal and great service combined with a beautiful view. The visit was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were quite surprised to see a weekend crowd on a Wednesday night, but we were seated at a beautiful table quite promptly, while accommodating my husband's walking limitation. For my husband is all about crab, and Anthony's has some of the best crab selections in the Puget Sound area! We both indulged in the seafood chopped salad (1/2 order for each of us), and then the seafood fettuccine plus crab, that was so delicious! It is our belief that their crab cakes are the best of any in the World! Our server was just a delight! She was so knowledgeable and friendly, providing a wonderful complimentary peach ice cream dessert to celebrate our special occasion. It is always a delight to dine here!
With ample offstreet parking the location is great for the view. We spent well over 2 hours at dinner and not because we were lingering. It took over an hour for us to get our dinner AFTER the salad and soup arrived. We watched others that got seated after us eat first. The server failed to communicate with us during our wait, not even asking if we wanted anything. After asking twice where our food was the manager came over to explain the kitchen was overwhelmed and they would be giving us free dessert. I'll tell you what, I'd much rather have good service for the price we paid for our meals. As this was a weekday night, the restaurant wasn't full so I"m not sure why they were overwhelmed. Not going back.
We were celebrating our anniversary and Chose Anthony's Home Port. Dinner was delicious. We were able to get a waterside view table and the staff were friendly. Upon learning of our anniversary, the hostess brought us a handwritten anniversary card from the restaurant. It was a great night out.
I took my sister to dinner for her birthday. We reserved a window table overlooking the marina and were seated after a slight delay while the cleaned the table. Great ambiance and great place to watch a sunset. The food was superior. She had the fried oysters which she claimed were the best she had ever had; I had an excellent clam linguine. The service was prompt and attentive without hovering. The food is not inexpensive, but for Kirkland, it was not out of line. I will return for special dinners in the future.
We were incredibly disappointed by Anthony's. We had reservations and we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. It then took our server 25 minutes to greet us and take our drink order. We didn't see her for another 15 minutes until she brought our drinks. We ordered an appetizer and our dinners. The seared salmon appetizer was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. Our dinners came quickly after the appetizer and it was immediately clear they had sat under lamps for a bit as our plates were incredibly hot to the touch. My scallops were severely overcooked and my husband's seafood Alfredo lacked flavor and his seafood was overcooked as well. We waited for our server to check on us and our food but she never returned. We ate our sub-par dinners quickly and requested our check - the one thing that actually came promptly! We will not be returning to Anthony's Homeport again!
Server was wonderful. View is always beautiful. Food preparation and presentation is outdated. They need to get with the times. My husband's salmon was prepared in a very old baked style My son had a delicious swordfish but served with a huge portion of rice. Not very aesthetic.
Good local seafood. One meal had to be sent back because wasn't prepared as described. The staff kindly offered alternatives but the diner decided not to accept- salad and sharing was enough. Also offered to comp dessert which we declined. But overall pleasant enough experience.
The downtown Kirkland area is a vibrant and fun with numerous choices for eating and socializing with friends. Still, I found Anthony's to be a favorite for me. The staff is professional, the food is incredible, and the atmosphere is first class. Well done.
The food was just okay. It was underseasoned (and I usually dont like a lot of seasonings on my food). The steak that was ordered was way underdone. I was goung to say something to the waiter but we didnt see him for over 15 min after our food was delivered (and other then to ask us if we wanted dessert snd to pick up tje check that was it. Not even a refill on our drinks. Speaking of the waiter, zero personality to us, however to the females he waited on at the tables around us, lots of personality. Spending $130 on a dinner for two might comes easy to a lot of people in the area but not to us... we thought a special occasion would have been nice here but next time I think not.
We go to Anthony's frequently and really like it. The reason for the 4 versus 5 rating was due to the following: 1) the baked potato only came with butter, sour cream, chives; no bacon like other restaurants, and 2) when I asked to bring all my leftovers home, they only packed up the remaining steak and peas, not the baked potato which I had looked forward to having at home for lunch.
My husband and I went here on Sunday for brunch. The brunch menu is pretty small and there are not a lot of seafood options which is surprising since that is what they are known for. The food was good. Pricing was interesting... drinks were really cheap ($4 mimosa) but food was definitely overpriced ($18 for eggs traditional eggs Benedict). The blueberry coffee cake is very good but they should improve the "fresh" fruit as it wasn't really fresh or in season. Our waiter was extremely slow but all in all the experience was fine and I am sure we will go back at some point in time.
Meeting old friends after 50 years. Hostess was gracious about seating us out of sun glare but with nice lake view. Pretty quiet at 5 pm, building to loud later as restaurant filled up. Wait staff was wonderful about giving us time to visit before and after eating. Food very good, but that really wasn't the focus. Overall excellent experience.
