Anthony's Home Port was recommended by a local for their brunch, which was good. We had bacon and eggs, and french toast. They first brought out a plate of fruit and some cinnamon crumble cake with cinnamon butter. All of which was good. The view of the lake was nice, the service was very good. It was a good breakfast but we were wanting more of lunch items than what was offered on the menu. No fault of Anthony's but mine for not reviewing the menu closer before committing the reservation. Maybe we'll try regular lunch or dinner if we ever return.
Food is bland and overpriced. Decor is dated. They got stuck in 1980 for both food in ambiance
We had a reservation and had to wait 40 minutes for our table. Then service was terrible. I real ize that they were busy but waiting 25 minutes to be asked for our order was ridiculous. The appetizers were just a mouthful. The Entrees were good but the whole experience was a real disappointment. I could have spent $300 for 4 people much better somewhere else. The server was lucky my husband kindly tipped 20%. Definitely wasn't worth it!
I had the King Salmon and my husband had the Mahi-Mahi and both were delicious. We had dinner at 5:00 on a Friday night which is early for the dinner crowd so it was relatively quiet. We had a great spot next to the window by the lake which was beautiful, however I was freezing. I swear I could feel the cold wind blowing through the window. All in all it was a great experience. The service was excellent too. I forgot my umbrella and they grabbed it for me and called me within a couple minutes of my departure so I was able to get it before I even left the building.
The food was good and my husband said the crab cakes were the best he ever had. My one complaint was that they didn't get the message about a window table and that it was my birthday.
I always enjoy coming to Anthony’s as the food is always excellent (best calamari on the east side), a great water view, and great service. I like to take out of town guests to Anthony’s as it’s one of the best restaurants on the east side.
Excellent food and service and great view. Reservation was ready when we arrived and we were seated immediately.
I was not very impressed with the main course meal. I had the garlic shrimp over pasta. I feel as if I could have made it myself and it would have tasted better. I have always loved Anthony's, but it just wasn't good this time.
We have had Brunch at Anthony's 2-3 times in the last year. I wish they would update the menu. The menu is small anyway and some new items would be welcome. We were there on Easter Sunday around 1pm and the food was average. I ordered Eggs Benedict and there was no English muffin. It seemed more like a hamburger bun. The complimentary Coffee Cake was over baked and dry. Will try somewhere new for brunch for a while. Pity, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Came here for the Easter lunch. The menu was a bit limited and not like the usual lunch menu. We could not have chowder, or a ceasar salad (?). The place was clean, and the wait staff prompt and decent. The location, as usual, was great and they had valet parking.
Made our reservations for Easter brunch, and were fortunate to have made it earlier in the day so it wasn't too busy or loud. Ladies at hostess stand were kind enough to give us a booth since we had my 94-year old mother with us. A table out in the middle makes it hard for her to hear, whereas a booth makes it so much easier. Our server was lacking in attention, however our "busboy" was very gracious and attentive.
We celebrate our anniversary at Anthony's. Great food, great view, great service. A romantic date destination for sure!
Anthony's was lively on this pre-Easter Sat evening. We had light dinners - seafood chop chop salad for me, small salad and bbq oystrrs for my husband. Both were very good, as was the wine and the service. And the views, outstanding!
Great service, great view, great value for the sunset menu (4 courses for $25 before 6:00pm), good food.
Great chance for out of town business associates to experience Kirkland and the lake while enjoying a great meal.
A pleasant dining experience. Helpful hostess used the reservation comments to prepare a table that was in a good location. Service was excellent and the food was exceptional. Our party of 4 was extremely happy.
Great view, mediocre food and horrible service. Every dish gets rice and green beans. Try a little bit. On a positive note: Best valet ever!
Great dinner on the waterfront in Kirkland. Had the Sunset dinner special, was excellent as always. Great 4 course meal for a great price, and we had happy hour specials in the upstairs bar and they were great. A pleasure of consistency always.
Always good but had better service in the past.
Food was good and Craig I believe was the young man who was managing and he was really helpful when needed.
Joining me for dinner were some close friends that I had not seen in quite a while. We had a lot to catch up on. After we finished eating we were still taking up the table talking. The restaurant was quite busy, at no time were we rushed to give up the table. I really appreciated that.
My teenage daughter and I came in tonight to celebrate a few things. We were seated at a table for two overlooking the twinkling lights around Lake Washington. We started with the Ahi Nachos. I didn’t expect them to have as much flavor as they did, but wow!!! We were blown away by the freshness and the flavor. I highly recommend that appetizer. Our server Cara dropped by and said the entrees were taking awhile and dropped off some complimentary clam chowder for us. We didn’t really notice, but we love their chowder so we savored that, along with their crusty sourdough. When our entrees arrived, we both laughed at the huge portions! My daughter’s trout was almost as big as her. I had the salmon, and we felt both were great. And as we were waiting for the bill, good ol’ Cara dropped off a creme brûlée for us. What a great night at Anthony’s! Fun, delicious... and we are stuuuuuuuffed!!! I’ll think about you Cara when I get on the scale tomorrow!! Great service. Thanks for taking such good care of us!
Locate, food, Services everything are perfect!
Any occasion , Anthony Kirkland is fit to your request.
Excellent Food with outstanding wine list and great service
We had the sunset dinner which was a good value. The salmon was done well and tasted great. The chocolate mouse was OK. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and professional. The place has a fantastic view. My only disappointment is that the interior is very dated and that takes away from the ambiance.
Finished up meeting a client early in Redmond, my colleague & I headed to Anthony’s because they always have very good fish and my colleague rarely makes it to PNW. Had a 5:45 reservation and was surprised at the early bird dinner special which was an awesome value. Great table, great martini, and awesome views of the sunset over Lake Washington. I would have voted a top mark for the food however the shrimp cocktail and the shrimps on the blue cheese salad were a bit murky tasting. I’m being very critical here. Also blue cheese salad could have a little more blue cheese.
Onto the entre: I had the true cod - I don’t know what all goes into the creamy sauce besides some sour cream and spices from heaven, but this fish was awesome! Perfectly cooked - moist and flakey - it has to be laced with some sort of drug that explodes the senses. Green beans was the veggie du jour and were perfectly prepared - they were actually cooked (not merely hot raw veg as many places these days promote) but were still firm.
Desert was flan but really was closer to a well prepared cream brûlée and was excellent.
We got there right before sunset and had a beautiful view! The food was a little to cookie cutter for an expensive restaurant. We all got the same boring sides and salad was not included and way over priced.
Appetizer was good, service great.
Great place , great service , generous flavourable portions , and on the waterfront
Our overall experience was excellent, but there was a lot of confusion over the bill. We were initially overcharged, which they caught, but deciding how it was to be paid was confusing. I'm sure we contributed to the confusion since we wanted the bill divided between 4 people. It took awhile, but it was corrected. I'm impressed they caught it and told us about it. We hadn't noticed!!
We had mahi mahi and the fillet. Both were excellent. Fish has always been a strength for this restaurant, but the beef has previously only been fair. Much much better this time. I’ll go back for that filet. Beautiful view as always. Excellent attention by wait-staff. Quieter than I remember, great for conversation. Lovely evening.
In general my fiancee and I love Anthonys, we visit to the Edmonds and Everett locations every other month or so. I've been to the Kirkland location dozens of times too, but this is our worst experience ever at an Anthonys this past Sat eve. My fiancee ordered the scallops and they were completely overcooked and near rubbery, besides being small in size and portion - about the size of a dime each (not thickness, of course!) The squash in it was undercooked, and even the sauce couldn't save the dish.... and it was $32! I had the fried oysters and while my father's were perfect, my whole plate was over-cooked... almost burned. And the what they put on the side for a salad was just shredded cabbage with a few gold raisins thrown in, horrible.
The appetizers were great, the chowder was as well! Unfortunately I found the Lingcod bland and the rice pilaf boring and bland! I would have loved a choice of starch, none given. The green beans were just about perfect , the service was Great!
It’s been a while since we have eaten here, but the food was really disappointing. Not nearly the experience it used to be!
Really enjoyed my dinner at Anthony's on the Kirkland water front. Parking was easy. Showed up at reservation time and was promptly seated. View and service were great. But the food stole the show. Clam chowder, calamari and salmon were all very good. Dessert choices were all very good as well.
Excellent food. Attentive staff with being intrusive. Great views.
We ate from the "Sunset Menu". Food was good and a good value. Service was slow, and mistakes were made but cheerfully corrected. Would dine there again.
We had a tasty meal and fine service. Anthony’s is a place that I find consistently good food and service.
Service was excellent--wait staff were friendly and efficient; food was very good. View was lovely except for intense glare from setting sun and no shades to soften it. Food was not gourmet, per se, but very nice. Prices were a bit high. Still, a very pleasant evening.
Very good food and drinks.... Customer service was also very nice.
Food is consistently great as well as the service.
Lots of wonderful choices on the menu.
