Anthony's HomePort - Kirkland
On my 5 yr anniversary, my waiter forgot to bring us our prawns as an appetizer and instead delivered our dinner, we ended up getting the prawns after bringing it to attention he forgot, but he then forgot to bring out our copper river salmon that only comes around 2 weeks a year. We did not end up getting the salmon and instead wanted to leave. Would not recommend due to this awful first time experience on a special night.
Traditional anniversary dinner, never disappoints!!!!!
We went to Anthony’s during “Copper River Salmon season- unfortunately the Salmon was very dry and over cooked - I wasn’t ask about how my meal was and only ate a couple bites because it was so dry -
Sunday brunch with a view That warm coffee cake and fruit for the table is such a treat!
We love Anthony’s because they consistently cook fish perfectly. Full of flavor, great sauces to augment and not overwhelm, and not overdone /dry. They are consistent and dependable. Atmosphere at Kirkland is waterfront and cozy -complete with foraging beaver providing entertainment. Service tonight was unusually slow- we were left alone and un acknowledged for quite a long time while our server was dealing with taking orders from a table behind and another two away from us. Seemed strange that she didn’t check in, or say “just a minute” as she passed us multiple times. When she finally got around to us and got our order, she poured a bit more wine than the normal pour to make up for it.
One final note: my husband is nearly deaf, snd noisy restaurants are a horrible experience for him. This restaurant, while pretty busy, had a very good noise level. Yay for conversation not including the word “What?” !!!
The view was fabulous! However the server ordered wrong menu... The soup was cold...The salad was too soggy...
It was a good experience. We waited too long before someone came to wait on our table. But that was the only drawback. Food was great and the ambiance good.
We arrived at 4:45 for the sunset dinner. The service and food was excellent. The place was quiet for the first 30 minutes but as the restaurant filled it got progressively noisier to the point where we could not have a conversation.
From front desk greeting to table service to our waiter, Matt, our delicious meals to our exit every thing was excellent!
The food ran right through us. We all had to use the restroom within 15 minutes of leaving. And again later.
The seafood fettuccini was very bland, the halibut was overcooked on one side.
The view was great as was the service
Went to Anthony's for Mother's Day. Food was very good.
Extremely over-priced for mediocre food made to look fancy. Server was nice enough but drink service was extremely slow.
We were seated outside on the deck in the middle which was great. A server (not ours) told me to move my chair, because it was a fire hazard. The server’s attitude left a bad impression upon me. Maybe there should be fewer tables on the deck so servers can more easily maneuver around the tables and umbrellas.
After 6:00 the restaurant became very crowded and our waitress had too many tables to service. It took a long time to get desert She apologized.
The early bird (sunset special) is always excellent
Our food was prepared just as we requested, although the start of the evening was a touch slow. Our server, Matt, was really wonderful. He has waited on us on several occasions and is always cheerful, helpful and very kind. He’s one of the reasons we come back.
Consistently good. Confident out of towners will enjoy food and ambiance.
Two of us at the table ordered the Sunday night Surf & Turf special that leads off with Wagyu beef tenderloin. We were pretty disappointed. When you feature Wagyu beef you're setting an expectation of a top quality piece of meat. But both steaks were pretty tough. They weren't uneatable, just more chewy than should be the case when you're bragging about it being Wagyu.
Dinner was amazing! No wait, fantastic staff, and even better food!
We arrived early and went upstairs to the bar. When we went downstairs at our reservation time, we stood there for 5 min holding our own drink and coats while 2 hostesses and 1 host stood there taking to each other and taking phone calls. It was absolutely ridiculous that one of the three couldn’t take us to our table. Our server was very good, but the front desk experience was frustrating. 3 of 4 meals were good, but my mom’s top sirloin was so tough she couldn’t chew it. They were nice and took it back, but it took quite a while to get a replacement, the rest of us were done by the time her replacement steak arrived. Definitely not the Anthony’s I remember.
Service would have gotten an excellent if our waitperson would have been a little more available, as it took a little long to get some “extras” (e.g. lemons) to our table. Food would have gotten an excellent if the salmon wasn’t so dry (I.e. a little over cooked).
The atmosphere is great. The food could use a lighter hand with cream and butter. It was much too rich (we ordered fettuccine with crab and clam chowder). Overall it’s a really nice place to watch the sunset and have a cocktail. The service is pleasant as is the decor.
Eggs were cold, bacon was cold, potatoes cold......fruit was clearly spoiled,
everything tasted like it was made a day earlier. Pretty hard to screw up
breakfast but they did a good job of it.
Service was good, beautiful view.
We came here on a Thursday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff was so attentive and very friendly. Our waiter also gave an excellent recommendation based on our food likes/dislikes. We started with the crispy calamari in lemon aioli sauce and for our Entrees, my husband ordered King Salmon and I ordered the Halibut in a deicious butter sauce. Serving sizes were generous. We enjoyed dessert as well. My husband had the Chocolate Molten lava cake with icecream and I had the Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse. The evening was perfect. Amazing view of Lake Washington and the boats and also perfect because it was a long overdue date with my hubby without the kids. We left inspired to look into chartering a boat someday with the kiddos...more along the lines of the Amazon in Brazil but inspired none the less! Thank you Anthony's!!
Poor quality specials for the Seattle restaurant week!
We went here for a 5-year anniversary brunch, and had a great time! They even have us a little card that said congratulations! The food was yummy and they even have us extra blueberry coffee cake to go - my favorite!
One of our favorite dinner locations with consistently good food and service.
Appetizers and entree were amazing but the desserts were far too sweet for our taste. Would definitely go back for seafood though. And the view was lovely!
Great food and location.
Great food, great service, nice view, easy parking
Great Sunday brunch. Anne gave awesome service without being intrusive to our time.
Anthony's has changed their brunch menu and it is now very limited... none of the choices were very appealing. We won't go there for brunch again unfortunately. It used to be our favorite place!
It was an off-and-on-again rain and sun afternoon and evening. Our table at the window made for an excellent sun-down wrap to a great day. Food was as-described and very nice. Well-timed service.
Great food and vuew
Celebrating my husband, first time out for dinner since triple bypass surgery.
It was my husband's birthday and he always loves going to Anthony's. We were greeted very warmly and our table I requested with a view was perfect and private. Our server was wonderful as the rest of the staff. My husband and I really enjoyed our night.
At our visit this time the service was slow with hardly any customers in at 4:30. Also, I had halibut and it was overdone and there was hardly any topping on the fish. The rest of the dinner was great as usual.
I have been going to the restaurant since 2000. The service was not as expected. The waitress was little bit rude and cold tore us. The portion of fish were smaller than they use to be. The fish flavor was not as good as it use to be. The quality of food and service was lower than expected.
We were told that booking has been made for only 2 people though we reserved a table for 5 people on the site. Cannot really trust the booking service. The food itself was very good.
