Anthony's HomePort - Des Moines
Celebrating thanksgiving with significant over early since both busy day of
Great food and service. Just the place to go for an outstanding meal. Prawns where large and excellent without a lot of batter. Seafood Salad had lots of seafood but could have used more dressing. Halibut was excellent as always. Service is top notch and staff friendly.
The location and service were nice. The food was mediocre and a bit bland.
Great food and experience
We all had different things and all of it was really really good!
One of our favorite seafood restaurants when we visit the Northwest. Service is excellent. The view spectacular. This trip I had crab fettuccini as an entree calamari as a starter. Both were prepared beautifully. The seafood is always incredibly fresh.
Great food, everything was wonferful, with exception of the great noise. That, alone was a real downer. Food was first rate.
Have always had a great experience @ this Anthony's, and this last time was no exception.
Look forward to the next visit
Had a great Dinner. Food and ambiance was memorable. Wait staff were attentive and courteous. Never felt rushed. Great place to celebrate!
Food, service, and ambiance were very good. I think the prices are bordering on unaffordability if one is hosting a large group.
We celebrated mom's 78th birthday there. It was perfect!
Great food and service by Jori. Always a great experience especially for a major event such as a birthday or anniversary.
Had an amazing dinner date bight with my husband. Thank you.
Great view and delicious food. Just stick with the seafood, not the steak.
Really nice place to eat! Great view of the water front! Great friendly service! Excellent menu!
Excellent food and service. We were having a long, leisurely business lunch and didn’t want to be rushed. The server recognized that we weren’t in a hurry and made us feel right at home. The view was fantastic...there was a seal swimming and playing right in front of us. For our leisurely lunch we started with delicious oysters on the half shell, and then the clam and seasonal crab corn chowder. The crab corn chowder was so tasty I could have eaten a bucket of it!! The halibut entree was outstanding; fish was cooked perfectly and without a cloying sauce that masks the flavor. In fact, I feel like the food was better at this Anthony’s than the other locations I’ve visited. Everything was so good we couldn’t say no to dessert...and the Wild Huckleberry Mini Slump was everything we wanted and more. I haven’t been to this location in about 12 years (maybe more) but I’ll be back!
It was our anniversary and we enjoyed a wonderful sunset dinner overlooking Puget Sound and the Des Moines marina. Virtually no wait time, an attentive waitstaff, outstanding meal made the evening stand out.
Always a great experience! Great food and service!
Good value a little pricey but good family food Anthony's is well lit and customer service oriented
Great views, great food, south sound dependable..!
Everyone was great, as was the food!
The seafood was absolutely excellent. I had the cioppino, because I like a variety, and i was not disappointed. It did take quite a while to get served, and it was a bit loud at the start. But by the end it quieted down, perhaps because everybody else left by the time we got our check. We sat down at about 7pm, and we didn't get the check until at least 9pm. Other than taking too long, it was a great experience.
Gloria was an awesome wait person. Our food was delicious. We arrived in time to see a beautiful sunset.
I had friends visiting from NJ & Philadelphia. We enjoyed a wonderful meal!
Overall experience was great, but the Ciapino was not cooked correctly. Too salty. As if the salt shaker top fell off while seasoning. To Anthony’s credit they did discount the final bill. Otherwise I would recommend Anthony’s.
The food was well served and presented. I had the steak. Potatoes were undone. The New York steak was mediocre, at best, it was cooked correctly, medium rare, but was tasteless. The Classic Caesar Salad was very good.
We celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary at Anthony's. Our server was Melissa. She was perfect! Friendly but not overwhelming, efficient, and caring. The food was prompt, delicious and a lovely treat! The Burnt Cream was so good we ordered an extra one for each of us! The entire evening was very special. However, we waited for several minutes after the sun set with nothing happening. We decided to leave. As we were in the parking lot I glanced over my shoulder at the sky and the whole thing was a beautiful yellow. We missed the magnificent view from our table by just moments. Next time we will not leave until we've seen it all.
We love Anthony’s! Great food, great service and great view. What more can you ask for?
Great food, great service and the view is to die for! Had a great time celebrating my sons birthday!
Great food and wine list.
Service was outstanding with Gloria A. She was friendly, helpful and kept our water glasses full and had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed talking with her. Farmstrong Pilsen was excellent, cold and no after taste. Good mild beer. Chowder is the best! Creamy, lots of clams and hot! Ling Cod had excellent flavor and the dill sauce added flavor. Seafood fettuccine had lots of prawns, shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops over the pasta. Both dishes arrived hot. Sourdough bread was great addition and was replenished. Love the view and the location. Will be back again!
Anthony's never disappoints. The food is very good, wonderful view, you can actually carry on a conversation, and employees are courteous and knowledgable.
Always good. We love this place. The view is awesome.
Always a nice dining experience at the Des Moines location and the waterfront view is wonderful. Highly recommended for any occasion.
They served me a burnt on one side and raw on the other side crabcakes and rock hard rice. When I brought up that the crabcakes was raw the lead server seemed unbothered they took off the crabcakes but that's their job to do that. Eating here is like a high end red lobster no thanks.
The ambiance was great. The view was amazing. However, the food did not meet expectations. We left unsatisfied and hungry.
Steak was under cooked for medium rare. Chowder was very tasty as usual.
My wife and I from TX had a special occasion and were in the area for less than 48 hours.
From the moment we walked in the Manager on Duty was waiting for us, sat us at an upstairs window table and checked back regularly. The view was amazing.
Maria our server did a great job and the food was outstanding!
Thanks again for a wonderful dining experience.
We enjoyed having Courtney as our server. Very attentive and pleasant. Our requests were always prompt.
Beautiful view. Seafood cooked to perfection.
