Had a delicious dinner, everyone in our party was pleased with their meals and the portion sizes were large.
Definitely not our first time here but we brought a couple who had never been to Anthony's before to celebrate Valentines Day together. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, loved the ambiance and the service was perfect as always! We have never been disappointed at Anthony's - always consistently a wonderful meal and pleasant night out.
Delicious food with a very nice plated presentation. Very attentive staff, providing excellent yet relaxing table side service. We will definitely be returning soon.
Anthony's was a great find...we were looking for a date dinner in that part of town and found it. We were pleasantly surprised with a fantastic waiter and dining experience. We will tell others and make the trip cross county from Cherry Hill to visit again.
Appetizers, steaks, seafood, desserts were Perfect. I will back next month. Melo
As always, the food here was great and the service perfect. Anthony always outdoes himself when we come in. I am a calamari snob and his place is definitely top 3 favorites for calamari, I don't bother ordering it anywhere else!
Great food and ambience
Great place for Valentine’s Day . Even though it was busy we didn’t feel rushed and it was very intimate
Great food, very fresh ingredients, staff was super friendly but no overbearing. Highly recommend for date or special occasions... nice alternate to going into Philly.
We tried this restaurant on Valentines Day, and they said it was a limited menu but they had a ton of options that all sounded delicious! Everything we had was really good and service was great! Prices are very fair! Will be back!
A nice relaxing dinner for Valentines Day.
A friend and I met for dinner on a Tuesday night. Kate was our server -- the only one covering a full restaurant, including one party of nine. We were seated at a table by a door and up against the front window; it was very cold, and we soon requested and were given another table. Service was slow, but our meal seemed fine -- we both had cream of asparagus with crabmeat soup and the braised short rib with rigatoni. Kate removed our wine glasses after asking if we were having wine. I replied no, actually telling her we had forgotten our wine. While this was the perfect time to tell us about Anthony's licensing agreement with a local winery, she said nothing and removed the glasses. It was only later, when we saw her make a wine suggestion and show a bottle to the party of nine, that we realized wine was available. When we were able to get Kate's attention, she brought a wine list. A young man soon came to clear and we asked for two boxes; he returned with two boxes, unmarked. My friend and I had both ordered the same meal; we didn't know whose box was whose; and it's the peak of cold and flu season. When we brought this to Kate's attention, she hefted the boxes, said one was lighter than the other, looked inside, then asked which of us had eaten more. Seriously? When we finally told her that was unacceptable -- who keeps track of who's eating more? -- she said the young man should have marked the boxes, but that she would have the chef prepare a fresh serving and split it between both boxes. The tab for the evening (a cup-sized serving of soup in a large bowl, braised short rib with rigatoni in a tomato sauce, house bread with dipping oil and some pickled vegetables and a $22 bottle of wine) was $90 and change before gratuity. And the meal that seemed fine wound up repeating and repeating within an hour of my arrival home, requiring four antacid tablets to calm things down. Disappointing, especially considering Anthony's was one of my friend's favorites.
The food was very good. When we arrived the waiting areas was stacked with people who all had reservations. We didn't wait very long. It seemed like it took a little long to get our food though.
I have dined at Anthony’s quite a few times, but this was my first time dining upstairs. The food was delicious as always. I opted for a special steak dish prepares medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly! The service was top notch. The food came out promptly, and the servers were courteous. The only recommendation I would have, and my date as well, is that the stairway needs more light. It was really dark, and the steps are narrow - a little light would make a big difference - it won’t keep me from returning to this gem in Haddon Heights.
I have gone several times in the past. Normally I am pretty satisfied or very satisfied, this time was a different story. REservations were met as expected and we were given a nice seat in the window but things went downhill from there. Our server, although knowledgable was very short with us, not at all friendly and left us feeling like we were bothering her. I considered leaving her less than my normal 30% tip but I didn't thinking we all have a bad day, now in thinking back I wish I had reconsidered. I had the mushroom soup from the specials menu, it was the best part of my meal! As my entree I had the barramundi with heart shaped raviolis and shrimp for $35. The presentation was beautiful! The ravioli were tasteless and so was the fish. The shrimp was good and the caponata it was all served with was good, but not great. I guess my expectations for that are a bit higher due to the price. We felt rushed out at the end, even though we were there less than an hour so decided against dessert. I'll probably go back at some point with the hopes that they have a more friendly staff next time.
Good, very good
I haven't been here in several years. The last time was excellent. Our family of 5 went Saturday night. I called to change from a 4 to a 5 and was told no problem, they have a table. We got there and had to wait 15 minutes for our table, which I didnt understand. We were led upstairs to a back nearly empty room and sat as far away as possible next to window at a round table. The room and our table were VERY cold. Uncomfortably so. No working heat. I asked to move and we could of had a few smaller tables pushed together but not a round. The rest of my group said no lets stay. They had to bring over a couple of space heaters that didnt really work or help. Why did we have to wait to sit in an empty cold room??? Just made the experience not so likable. The waiter and service were very good, everyone liked their meals, but the whole freezing cold empty atmosphere and waiting for the table was a real turn off to ever returning. A shame, but the situation handled horribly. You don't make people wait for a table in an empty room that has no heat.
one of the very very very few restaurants in the region that combine quality food at a reasonable price with an ambiance that permits good conversation around the table.
Great ambiance, low noise level and attentive service deserve 4 stars, it is a shame our entrees were less than expected (under seasoned and poor flavor profile).
Very accommodating - we had a group of women with at least 20 different reservations. A ton of fun. And when we left, Anthony gave a all a g.c. for $10 for next time!
As always this restaurant provides the best tasting foods, attentive service and perfect admosfere.
