Anthony's Creative Italian Cuisine
As you are escorted to your table you can’t help but notice the beautifully crafted temperature controlled oak wine cabinet which houses up to 200 bottles of wine. Since the restaurant is a BYOB, the owners wanted to provide customers with a place to store their favorite wines so they are readily available each time they visit. Anthony’s also offers the use of any of their dinning rooms for private events.
Food was excellent had the fresh striper and was so good!!! All loved their meals! Will retire!!
Party of 6. Everyone at table really liked their meal.
Love Anthony’s. Great food, great service, friendly atmosphere.
Great food, excellent service. Will definitely be back.
Very inexpensive lunch selections do not not skimp on flavor and quality. Desserts are delicious and reasonably priced. A great place for an affordable and well-served lunch catching up with friends with a bottle of wine (BYOB).
Absolutely amazing dinner. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we wanted a romantic spot. We booked a table for two in the window seat. Ambiance was perfect. We had fresh dog salads and I had the lamb chops ones whipped sweet potatoes. My husband had the pork loin chop over a delicious risotto. The meal was a mouth watering perfection. The service fabulous and attentive. They were packed as usual but did not distract at all from the warm, romantic atmosphere.
the food is exceptional, the staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly, the atmosphere is low key, quiet, and romantic.. if i could eat here every night i would! the chef really knows what he is doing! TIP: try the burratta, it is divine! my husband and i love it here!
cute little place with amazing food! also is a byob which was a plus. will be back again for sure!
We have been to Anthony’s a dozen of times and enjoyed our meals. This time we were very disappointed. The prices have gone up considerably and the serving sizes have gotten smaller. My wife and I had soup, she had a pasta with crab meat dish and I had the veal chop special. My chop had very little meat on it, there was about three fork fulls of mashed potato’s and the vegetables were practically nonexistent. We shared a desert (apple crumble) which was cold. The waiter overheard us say it was cold and offered to have it warmed in the microwave, after it was half eaten. Our bill came to about $100.00 which is ridiculous for a BYOB. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Anthony’s.
This is a very nice quiet restaurant that has some excellent food at very reasonable prices. The interior is elegant but small so reservations are a must on busy nights. Not the typical noisy restaurant you can actually talk using a normal voice here. This is a gem of a find and a BYOB so even better.
The meal was excellent!!
My husband and I visited Anthony's for the first time this weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. We went on the recommendation of a friend and boy it did not disappoint! The ambiance was very cozy. Our waitress was attentive and really sweet. But the food was the showstopper! The butternut squash soup was to die for, I really could've ordered another to go, because the flavoring was just divine. We had the scallop appetizer which were perfectly cooked and we both really enjoyed. For dinner my husband had the Shortrib Ragu, which he raved about. I had the Ribeye which was delicious as well. Highly recommend both. The Chef came around and greeted the tables, which is always a nice touch. Overall, we can't wait to return!
We recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at Anthony's for my husbands birthday celebration. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere, well prepared dishes and it's BYOB! Everything was wonderful from start to finish! Looking forward to another visit to try more menu selections. So happy to find this great neighborhood gem!
The noise level was fine at first, then it got very loud. My wife and I had the chicken and lobster. Lobster was a little over cooked, also, presentation was not great. Price fix menu was good value, though, and BYOB was nice.
The food was delicious and elegantly prepared and service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Have been to Anthony’s many times and have never been disappointed. Food is top notch!
Very consistent and wonderful food . A great place to dine quietly with friends.
Our favorite place to eat, the dinner was great, both the pork chop and veal chop were outstanding, and the sauces were over the top. Anthony and John are always on target.
Went for restaurant week. The menu had a lot of options to satisfy everyone in our group of 9. Everyone enjoyed their selections. The portions were more than adequate. Overall an excellent experience.
Food is always excellent however now that I'm on a very restricted diet they were very accommodating to my needs. The servers were excellent, the owner /Chef seems very friendly.
when we want to eat upscale without the pricey menu we go to Anthony's. every meal is made with care, bar none. the atmosphere is elegant, the upstairs rooms are quiet and cozy while the main level is a bit more lively.
there's a wide range of meals to choose and of course, the nightly specials that I prefer. what's ever in season or the hottest culinary trend you can probably get some sort of variation of it there. they sell NJ wines but bring your own.
there's parking behind the building or you can usually find a spot on the street.
you'll appreciate the slow pace at Anthony's, it gives you time to savor the passionately prepared foods.
Another great dinner at Anthony's. Very nice and tasty version of NE Clam Chowdah. And as always very nicely prepared and presented entrees.
I always enjoy dining at Anthony's. It's a great experience for all!
Our waiter Craig was excellent. It was not loud when we were there so having a conversation was easy. The food as always was fantastic. Looking forward to going back soon.
Our lunch for three was very good. One server ran the entire room with little to no assistance evident, at times we waited for refills, but not terrible. Food was very good. The two for $12 lunch special was an exceptional value. Calimari app was good, needed to be a little more crunchy and salt, but tender and tasty red sauce accompanied. I had the wild mushroom ravioli and the upcharge Short Rib Ragu. Ravioli were amazing, the Ragu was good but the meat had a heavy red wine taste that tasted like it hadn't cooked out. The asparagus and crab soup was rated high by my associates. One had the short rib burger, and the other had the sachetti in a blush sauce - both received rave reviews. Crème brulee desert had zero crunch but good taste. $83 for a large, way to much food lunch and deserts was not bad for what we ate and brought home. You could easily do lunch for two under $30.
Fabulous food and ambiance! Creative Italian cuisine.
My dish did not have much taste - very bland. Plenty of Crab but the gravy was void of any pizzazz. The soup was out of this world. Wait staff was phenomenal. I've had other meals there that have been outsanding.
There was a group celebrating a birthday. They were extremely noisy, obviously intoxicated and generally disruptive. We did bring this up to management and they did speak to them. Did not help.
We were comped desert though...
Anthony’s has the best Italian food in the tri-state area
Great food and service. The owners are wonderful people! Outstanding restaurant!!!
We selected this restaurant because it did not serve the typical Italian dishes. It lived up to its name and we were not disappointed. The fresh fig salad was truly unique and delicious. Both our entrees, the chicken and lobster and the seafood special were also wonderful. The dining room can be a bit noisy, but the service was excellent and they went out of their way to make our anniversary special.
It was a delightful dining experience. I will return.
The food and service were fantastic as usual and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. And we love that Anthony's is a BYOB!
Another WOW meal at Anthony's. Food is fantastic and I love the seasonal menu. The seasonal menu is creative and a great value. Looking forward to returning, soon.
Our family and friends love Anthony’s... we dine there often..and it’s always Great...!!!!! We are going this Sunday too
The food at Anthony’s is always excellent. The menu is so good it’s hard to decide between all of the great choices.
End of summer special menu. Corn chowder excellent. Tuna and cucumber martini excellent. Salad were superb and the entrees chicken and lobster excellent and the veal chop cooked to perfection. Always enjoy Anthony's never disappointed.
I’ve been coming to Anthony’s for years. Saturday was the first bad meal I’ve had there.
The waitress gave my husband the wrong entree. The entree I had, filet Sicilian, was awful. It was greasy and the meat was not a filet I’ve ever seen.
The first two courses were excellent and as always, the bread was superb.
We love this place for the food, service and setting. It is a place to visit on any occasion or just to enjoy a delicious meal. Wonderful staff and creative Chef. Recommend for sure
My wife and I really enjoyed our meals. Very favorable, generous portions, fresh ingredients, and meals arrived hot and simultaneously.
