Antebellum Ratings and Reviews
This is a small neighborhood restaurant. This is not an inexpensive place to frequent, however the food and service were well worth it. The menu is not large, but the chef takes great pride in taste and presentation.
Our server, Charity was very attentive and friendly.
I would definitely recommend it.
Antebellum is my personal favorite restaurant. I don't mean that lightly...there are hundreds of restaurants in metro Atlanta. The service is outstanding. I have to eat gluten-free, and there are so many choices - how refreshing! The ambiance is perfect for us. The food is interesting and delicious. I can't wait to go again!
My husband and found ourselves kidless for a few hours on Friday night and decided to squeeze in a date night. I am so glad Antebellum is near by- we were able to enjoy handcrafted cocktails, a superb fall menu, and wonderful service without the hassle of driving into “atl”. We love this place!
We were able to slip away for a quiet Friday dinner. There was no “special occasion” but the evening felt special. The food was delicious and the service was personal, attentive, and friendly. Great finish to the week and start of the weekend. Looking forward to coming again
A friend gave us a gift card to Antebellum and we decided to use it for a date night. The venue and atmosphere were very quaint and "homey" being in an old house. My blood orange cosmo was delicious and my husband said his glass of pinot noir was very good as well! We started with the pimento cheese bread and it was delicious! The horseradish creme fraiche was the perfect accent with the cheese. We each had a very good salad. I liked that they changed up the ingredients seasonally (based on what I had seen on their online menu). My salmon was perfect! The grit cake and greens were a nice complement to the salmon, and the sauce added a great flavor. Although my husband's duck was small (only 4 medallions), he said it was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful! He is an athlete and usually eats a lot, so I knew it wasn't going to fill him up but he understood the smaller serving size. We skipped dessert but will definitely consider this restaurant for another date night or special occasion in the future!
Celebrated my daughter's 26th Birthday at Antebellum last night. We had an absolutely exquisite meal. I didn't think Antebellum could get any better, but it has. Chef Nick's creativity is amazing...flavors, textures, presentation...just superb! Every single dish exceeded our expectations. Our service was incomparable (Thank you, Charity, for taking such special care of us....you made our evening even more special!). Thanks Nick, Charity and the entire Antebellum family for making this a most memorable event for us.
We have been going here for years now and love it. Nick the head chef and owner puts flavors together that have me eating things I have never even thought of eating. Simply amazing and rivals any dish out of any big city. I just got back from few evenings of fine dining in NY city and enjoyed my meal here better. If you have not been, it is a must. But get reservations at least a week in advance for prime time seating. The staff here is as amazing as the food. The menu changes and the food is always fresh, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Love this place and the people.
Very enjoyable experience. Great service, excellent food although I found the description of the menu items over elaborate. The hardwood floors and lack of sound cushioning furnishings made the room echoey and therefore noisy. However, this hardly dented the overall experience. At almost $100 a head for my group (including wine) it was pricey and therefore probably only a once a year visit (maybe less).
Never disppointed at Antebellum. The food is amazing with a nod to Southern traditional dishes but with a creative twist making it far more appealing and delicious than the originals. The service is excellent and low key. The staff is happy to offer suggestions and explain various dishes. We also enjoy the amazing jazz guitarist, Tom Grimm, who plays on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. His music provides some lovely background music without it being intrusvie. Overall, we find it a lovely experience all around.
