Very nice restaurant. Delicious fried flounder and fried green tomatoes. Beet salad was good it great. Service was wonderful. We ate upstairs and loved it. Highly recommend.

Best meal we had in Charleston. The atmospheres is beautiful, the food was incredible and the service was superb. Highly recommend if you’re in the French Quarter of Charleston.

Bison rib eye specialty and Apricot Fried Flounder were delicious and perfectly cooked The tuna sashimi and crab salad appetizer specials did not disappoint. Best restaurant in Charleston. Michael the manager great to chat with and takes care of everyone. Waiters very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and prompt. Our go to place!

A wonderful restaurant with good cocktails, wonderful service, and a nice atmosphere. We were visiting Charleston and went for a carriage ride next door to the restaurant and then had dinner. I got the Flounder dish and the apricot sauce was amazing.

*Extremely* friendly staff, honestly best service of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was delicious, and was worth the price. I wouldn’t dine here often but it made for an enchanting date night. Thanks again to the lovely staff, who were very accommodating to my baby.

We used Open Table to find a restaurant that fit our timeline. Anson was on the list. We took a chance. It was hands down one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. We sat upstairs, and you could feel the history in the air. All of the staff was friendly. Our meals were delicious, with a huge shoutout to the brussel sprout appetizer!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Anson. The vibe is local, traditional, and friendly. The food was nicely prepared. And on this Friday night a lot of regular customers were present. She Crab Soup was fantastic. Caesar salad was fresh and a generous portion. Crispy Flounder had a nice, subtle apricot flavor and was meaty and very delicious. Shrimp and Grits was amazing. Don’t miss out in the house-made desserts.

The crabmeat salad starter was off the hook! The citrus vinaigrette over the butter lettuce was a perfect complement to the fresh crab. The crispy flounder did no disappoint! Only wish there was more of it! :-> Great food - great experience.

Whole flounder with shallots and apricot sauce may be my new craving! Perfectly cooked and don't be scared of a whole fish! They scored it perfectly so every bite lifted easily off the bones! Darnell, our server, was so warm, friendly, and always checked on us. A lovely cocktail, old school whiskey sour, and a cozy booth nestled in the back made for a perfect date night! Thank you, Anson's! We'll be back for sure!

The flounder was awesome, John was incredibly, the whole family treats you superbly! If you go to Charleston and don’t eat Ansons’s, you missed an opportunity…don’t waste your time or money on High Cotton, only mediocre food and awful deserts!

Excellent evening and dinner. Chose Anson based on reviews and reputation and it definitely lived up to expectations !! We were in Charleston for a quick relax and a birthday celebration. Everything was spot on. Loved the setting and atmoshphere. The She Crab soup was absolutely the best we've ever had!! Paul was excellent as our server; the pace of dinner was perfect and he made it a most enjoyable meal and experience. A MUST place to dine !!

The simple act of having Table Cloths go along way of setting the tone of a restaurant. The Anson is no different. From a warm greeting upon entering to friendly accommodating table service, to simply delicious food, the Anson is a great place to celebrate a special occasion to just celebrating the one you are with! We are frequent visitors to Charleston and we will return to the Anson.

Food recommendations and service were very good, scallops and specially delicious. A/C near the vents (even after we moved) made the place freezing and the pricing has gotten somewhat steep. Extremely friendly host, staff very polite and refreshing if the 1st floor is very nice.

Beautiful interior, over the top service and food is absolutely wonderful. Everyone at our 4 person table loved it all. I as the one paying found it a bit pricy but I guess you pay for what you get and we had a great experience. I will definitely be back!!!
