    Very pricey. We only had an appetizer & dessert. Oysters were tiny & mostly breadcrumbs, a bit too salty. Apple streusel was good but overly sweet with a very small, but delicious, dollop of ice cream (wished there was more but minus the ?parsley on top). Because the streusel was so sweet we couldn’t finish it. Despite our minimal ordering, service was perfect. We were not aware of the boat parade & so parking was extremely limited downtown. Not Anson’s fault but parking at $12/hr was ridiculous. No pricing is posted when you pull into the ‘air garage’, at least not that we saw would have never imagined it would be that high in Charleston.

    Lovely setting for an elegant meal. We had the flounder. Maybe we should have ventured to the specials. Not bad, just not extraordinary for the price. Great service.

    Anson is the perfect place for a Christmas date! So beautifully decorated, warm & attentive staff, and the food is absolutely delicious everytime, from their burger to their scallops over butternut risotto. Highly recommend!

    An enjoyable night out at Anson's! Hosted a business dinner here last night with some picky Texan's. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and festive for the holidays, our service was excellent, and the food was top-notch. A memorable experience that deserves a return!

    The food is delicious, the service is outstanding and the noise level is not bothersome. Last night, however, it was louder than normal. All told it was a most enjoyable evening.

    Our waiter Peter was very knowledgeable and went over the specials and menu highlights. Scallops were unbelievable! Everything was fresh and can’t wait to go back!

    Our experience was outstanding. The food was great especially the she crab soup and crispy flounder. The service was even better. We had a very attentive waiter but was not overly attentive. He seemed to appear only when we needed something.

    Anson’s may not be the fine dining experience it used to be but the food & service is exceptional. It’s an old-school experience from an establishment that’s been there for decades and endured. I recommend it highly.

    We had a fabulous evening!! Our first visit back post-devastating fire (I have no excuse for the long time lapse) and our entire experience couldn’t have been better! Sadly, I can’t remember our wonderful waiter’s name, only that he hailed from Buffalo? The three of us had a perfect corner table upstairs, where we shared the crispy Brussels sprouts and beet salad as starters. For a main meal two of us had the more than amazing crispy flounder and the third had the scallops. All were simply delicious!! We look forward to coming back again soon!!

    Ansons has delicious food and a great ambiance (no loud noise). The scallops are to die for! Our waitress worked hard to bring us what we wanted. We had a wonderful experience.

    Michael greeted us at the door and was personable and thanked us for coming in. We had a fun, knowledgeable server, KJ, who made great recommendations. My husband enjoyed the oyster appetizer and the whole flounder entreé. I ordered the lobster rigatoni (house made pasta) and devoured every bite. Anson's has always been one of our favorite restaurants and did not disappoint!

    We ate here last night for our 45th anniversary, and couldn't have been more pleased with our evening. KJ, our waitress, was enthusiastic about being part of our celebration and went out of her way to ensure that everything was perfect - which it was. We ate upstairs where it was more quiet and the dining room was gorgeous with a romantic ambience. We ordered the filets which were cooked to perfection! Highly recommend for a special occasion or date night!

    The food was great, my wife had the grouper and I had the Halibut, we were both very happy with the presentation and the flavors. They have a large selection of wines to satisfy every taste. The baked oyster appetizer was really good. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. We will be recommending this restaurant to our friends.
