Anson11 was a fantastic experience. Menu selections are refreshingly creative and all delicious. Staff were polite, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Overall it's an ok restaurant. Steak was a bit of a disappointment (cold and not properly cooked as we asked for) but pasta, gnocchi, burrata salad were very delicious
We didn’t have the best experience. Our starters were tasty (ceviche & crab cakes) but the main was a disaster. We had the wild catch of the day. It came out cold, the parsnips weren’t cooked through & the broccolini could have been done a bit more...it was more raw than al dente. We told our server who responded immediately, taking the cold food away and promising a replacement. (I chose to eat my cold meal but my husband’s was whisked away.) This took 30-45 minutes. While we waited our server brought out a salad so there was something to eat. When the food came out, the halibut was done properly but the accompanying veg was still not up to par. The seasonal vegetables we ordered seemed to be more of a hodgepodge of what was left in the kitchen. I’ve never known garbanzos to be seasonal.
While we weren’t impressed with the food, we couldn’t fault the service. One meal & a glass of wine were comped, and we were also given a gift certificate. Our server was very embarrassed and the manager made a point of coming out to talk to us & apologize. We were visiting, so won’t be back, only hope we caught them on a bad night.
As always, Anson11 was fabulous. We went there for dinner and drinks before the 7:30 theater. Great Lemodrops, and we had the meat lover's pizza. They were courteous, quick, and the dinner and cocktails were tasty. Thank you!
Our server was very rude. She was slow and very improper. I have never experienced such terrible service.
Cristina provided wonderful service!! The food was great, as usual. We love the ambience as well. Very historic old building gives a real old El Paso feel to it!
had the burger and it was great. fantastic selection of scotch.
Amazing restaurant. Anson 11 definitely Kickstarted an amazing day
Fantastic evening out with my wife! No one else dined in the upstairs restaurant when we were there which provided a unique ambiance! Food was delicious and service was impeccable.
Food was great...started off with ceviche and then continued to have Paella!! and it was delicious!!
Made the reservation at 11 but doors were opened a lil after 11 (no big deal). Was never asked if we had a reservation but since there really wasn’t anyone else there, we were seated right away.
We ordered green posole, but was brought out red posole. Once our main dishes came out, the waiter really didn’t come by to check on us for refills or how our food was. The food was good but would have wished for a lil more attention.
Staff went above and beyond, food was delicious and service was fast
Food and drinks were great just disappointed with the service.
Food was amazing, service was amazing, overall it was amazing. Super clean, and nice view. My family and I loved it!
It was Sunday morning brunch. They had no coffee ready to go. When they did, it was like warm and chunky. EVERYTHING took way too long.
Really enjoyed my date dinner at Anson 11. Food was delicious and the service was great!
We came for dinner before a show at the Plaza Theater. Dinner was excellent, waiter was very nice and accommodating, wine was fantastic; then we just walked to the show. We had a lovely time! Looking forward to our next visit!
I loved it here so much! Prices are just right, and food is perfectly portioned. Best place in downtown!
We had reservations for their Bistro restaurant but they did not have a table available so they took us upstairs to their fine dining restaurant with the option to be able to order from the bistro menu. This restaurant is definitely very nice. Two of us opted to order from the fine dining menu and our daughter was able to order from the bistro menu. It was nice to have the option since our reservation was for the bistro. Service was awesome, the food was great! We are already making plans to return to their fine dining restaurant.
The experience was great as usual. I requested to have roses on the table for my girlfriend’s birthday. The made the napkin into a rose and had roses for her. The food was good. The good needs to be updated. For the price I expect more (not in terms of portions).
The server was not attentive, I often had an empty glass and he was so slow I started drinking my husbands tea. The chocolate cake was grainy and not tasty I didnt even finish it bc it was so bad. The mashed potatoes where a bit to much oily. The steak was grey on 1 half and the other 1/4 was pink and another 1/4 was red. Very inconsistent steak.
Always an enjoyable venue. Food is usually very good but when it doesn’t meet expectations, the management makes things right. Our last visit we enjoyed our house salad, wine, hamburger and desert. But my catch of the day was not to my liking. Host was very professional at correcting the issue. Service is professional yet friendly.
The server was wonderful, and catered to our every need. Despite our dessert taking a long time, the waitress was very attentive to the issue.
We sat in the downstairs Bistro section of the restaurant, arriving earlier than expected. We were seated immediately. From the start, the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The salads and main course were delicious and very flavorful. Ambiance was wonderful and there was a very eclectic group of patrons. The location of the restaurant near theatres, the downtown plaza and hotels makes it a convenient place to dine. They even have an outside dining area with live music.
The food was delicious. The ambiance was perfect. Perfectly portion meals that satisfied the palate.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful service. Excellent food. Pricey.
Lovely place. Food is amazing, every course was delicious. Excellent service and a very romantic place to celebrate your anniversary.
Great like always. We always like eating here. Will go back soon.
I highly recommend the five course tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Beautiful restaurant. Great ambiance. Highly recommend.
Place was very crowded and a little difficult to navigate to our table, must’ve been peek hours. Really noisy when we first arrived. After about a half hour the place thinned our and was very enjoyable. Our servers were attentive and kind. The food was great and the proportions were perfect. I wasn’t overly full, comfortable and able to enjoy the rest of the bottle of wine we purchased. I will defiantly be keeping this place in mind for the future.
The meal was great as usual, but service was uncommonly slow.
Our meal was delicious! We had great service from Dean. Great evening prior to leaving for the theater.
Fantastic! Outstanding food, excellent service, excellent value. My wife and I had the 5 course sampler and it was magnificent. Nothing served was less than superb. Cannot remember a better meal in years.
Wonderful Brunch on Saturday before the musical Evita!!
We loved our pre-theatre lunch. The mussels and fries and brunch were perfect. The place was full and boisterous, but we like it that way. We look forward to coming back for the pizza.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and location. Being able to make reservations was a plus for me and they validated my parking garage slip. The service was extremely poor. When we arrive (2 people) there was not many tables filled at that time. We waited about 15-20 minutes for the waiter to come take our drink order, it came about 7 minutes later. We waited an additional 15 minutes before the waiter appeared again to take our order and than we realize that the restaurant now had been filled about 75% and the table near us had their drinks and bread. When another waitress came by she served me more water and I asked why they had been served bread and drinks prior to us? She stated that fresh bread was being made. An excused. Promptly I am assume the waitress told our waiter and he came by our table now offering bread and more drinks. We kindly declined and said the other waitress handle it. From than on it was a consistent of non attention to our table for service. Sadly we were very disappointed with our food as well. My meatloaf was very salty and I had to drink 4 glasses of water. My friend has the crab cakes that was over powered with cilantro and jalapeño this not being able to actually taste the crab cakes. My friend also orderd a salad that was extremely blan and had nothing on it but Parmesan cheese. For a 50.00 lunch meal we had very high expectations and we were extremely disappointed.
Great food and great service at a reasonable price.
I live in a town that has a large number of excellent restaurants. When I travel, I am often disappointed in the dining choices given the standard I am accustomed to enjoying. Dinner at the Bistro at Anson 11 was such a deight that I decided to return for dinner upstairs in the fine dining room of the restaurant. I am so pleased that I decided to return.
From the warm welcome to the expert server’s guidance through the menu (thank you, Nicholas) and crowned by the most delicious and well crafted courses (all seven of them) from the kitchen, every aspect of my Monday night dinner in a sparsely populated dining room was very well executed and pleasing to the palate. From the kohlrabi soup to the beet and house made burrata salad to the scallops with mole (perhaps the most surprising and delicious combination of the evening) and then to the sea bass, culminating in the complex and pleasing Abueleta chocolate pudding, no detail was out of place.
You should have no hesitation in making a reservation at Anson 11 when you visit Rl Paso. And I could argue that it is worth a special trip here just for dinner.
This is a great place - a classy place with great environment, elegant decor, awesome service, and outstanding food, all for a very reasonable price.
My only comment would be that we were seated in a really tiny table, right next to a column that was very reduced for us; we struggled our entire meal with this, but our server and the rest of the staff were really nice on helping us removing and shuffling around plates... I would suggest the restaurant doing without this small table; the rest of the restaurant has normal-sized tables that are way more convenient for everyone!
