8 oz. Filet Mignon
Red & Gold Beet Pure, Roasted Fennel, Snap Peas, Miso Miner's Lettuce, Kalamata Olives
The food was absolutely amazing! The flat breads were creative and nothing I’ve ever tasted before. The service was exceptional and friendly. Great date night place!
The restaurant was closed at that time and on that day! I never got a notification that the restaurant was going to be closed. I drove ( about 40 miles ) from Las Cruces to El Paso for the dinner. We were embarrassed!!! So poor!!
The service was excellent, food very tasty and overall outstanding .
Great cocktails and dessert. Nice salad. Fantastic service. Liked it so much we went to Sunday brunch too. Refillable mimosas, wonderful crab cake Benedict, pancakes, fruit and veg. Flavored waters. We will be back.
Was fast friendly service! Drinks were perfect as we had margaritas and ordered the muscles and fries.
Benny was an excellent server, the food was amazing and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic date. Highly recommend!
Great service and good ambiance. Enjoyed it very much.
Best fine dining in El Paso. I would normally opt for the 5 course meal, but they didn't offer it this time. The meal is exquisite and the service is exceptional. Thank you for the experience
Still great, with some of the best service in Texas. Never sat outside before and really enjoyed watching the pedestrian traffic- quite diverse.
Our 28th Wedding Anniversary. Hostess was not very friendly or welcoming, seating was just ok. We were seated directly next to the only other party in the entire @fine dining “ area. Our waitress was fine, but waiter at the table next to us proceeded to tell his whole life story in volume. We were trying to have a nice romantic evening to celebrate and it was totally disruptive, ruined the mood and ambiance. As for the food, we ordered charcuterie board and it was mostly ok. We ordered a house salad which had extremely hard, unripe avocados. Any cook/chef knows that is inedible. We ordered 3 entrees between the two of us as we wanted a little bit of everything to celebrate. The filet and shrimp were what you would expect from any typical steakhouse, the lamb chops and belly were extremely fatty and tasted horrible, we also ordered the duck breast which was disgusting and gamey and had to send back. Traded it for the lobster risotto which was gritty, tomato based, bland and not very creamy. Overall, a very disappointing experience and would not recommend or return.
The sea bass was real good, the mac and cheese side was real good. The three meat flatbread was boring. Service was nice. Drinks were good.
Welcoming, service was wonderful- Dakota was attentive, friendly and provided outstanding service
The entree was a roasted chicken. It was very dry and had no seasoning. My friend who also ordered it, said it tasted too game-y (Cage free) I didn't taste that but if you don't like meats to have this taste then don't order the chicken.
We ordered the Crab cake appetizer and it was spicy . This coming from a woman who adds chile to almost everything. I didn't like the cumin season in the dish.
Overall, we both liked the restaurant atmosphere and the waitress was very good. Maybe we should have chosen a different entrees.
The drinks and food were great. The Mushroom and chicken pasta was great. I tasted my fiance's short rib dinner and that was very tender too.
Had dinner in the Bistro and the Food and Service was great, bar was a little slow, but it was full. Noise level was a little high but was manageable.
My husband and I were seated at a small table hidden behind an oversize chair and no one came to serve us. Finally after more than five minutes a server walking by our table asked if we were taken care of and when we said no he said he would take care of us then. He was quite busy with other tables and we were left to wait a lot. After a long while we got our appetizer, but we were never given bread despite all the tables around us receiving some. When our server finally came and we asked about the bread he said that they didn’t send down enough and didn’t even offer to attempt to get us some. During our meal, he brought my husband a beer to make up for the bread without asking my husband if he wanted another one (which he didn’t, so it went to waste). The server explained that they were so busy because of the concert next door, but I don’t think that a full restaurant should mean poor service. Overall very disappointed. My husband had been to the upstairs dining room for a business dinner a few weeks before and had an excellent experience so maybe it would have been better having gone up there but we were looking for a casual dining experience.
We have been here several times for various special occasions. Our first date was here, first anniversary., special evenings out. As long as A11 continues it’s tradition of high service and food, we will keep ours of coming back.
Service seemed slow. Would have liked it just a tiny bit faster, but everything else was perfect.
The 2-person March special was what we expected to be good, as friends had recommended. We ordered the salmon fettuccine which was very salty. The bread first served to us was old and hard. Before we got the bread, the server had told us bread was being made. After we told the server, it was replaced a hotter one, but still hard and i broke a molar while trying to cheer on s piece. We ordered a salad that never came. We told the server and said that the entree was finished faster than the salad. When we got receipt, the happy hour queso fundido was priced as a full priced item. We were not happy. We will not return.
Making reservations is a must, especially on a theatre night. A pleasant surprise was parking being validated. With parking a problem downtown sometimes, this was an added bonus. The queso fundido was really delicious to start off. We opted for the March special, dinner for 2 with a glass of wine for $49. It was perfect before theatre fare. Service was pleasant and timely with a packed crowd. Loved the cucumber martini, too! Even better was Happy Hour prices for cocktails from 5-7. We’ll be back. It was perfect!
As always, Anson 11 provides a great atmosphere and great food. In addition, Hugo (our waitperson) provided service that was second to none. He’s always pleasant and welcoming! The manager, a wonderful young lady (whose name I just can’t remember) checked on us and was very pleasant and welcoming, too! We had a great dinner!
The night went very well the food was outstanding it did take a while to get out but there was a wedding that night. Nevertheless the food and wine was really good.
Got to the restaurant about 15 minute early and they had our table ready. We immediately received water and menus usually we have to ask for water. We loved the food atmosphere and service was above average.
Food was delicious and not over priced. The staff really knew their product and was really helpful.
Wonderful dinner and ambiance. Seafood melange and rib eye were delicious
We made reservations for a standard table and when we arrived the hostess told us only high tops were available. We said we preferred lower seats due to someone in our party having difficulty with the higher seating. She didn’t seem to care and was quite rude. While taking us to our seat, we passed several other tables that could have been combined to seat our table of 5. We all decided that we did not want to give them our business and walked to Cafe Central which was superb!
My favorite restaurant in El Paso; now we eat here every time we come. This was our third trip and on each occasion, things have been perfect. Of course, the people of El Paso are among the nicest anywhere and the folks who work at Anson 11 are no exception.
A couple of things went wrong on this visit:
A) They ran out of tables at the fine dining area, so they seated us in some random conference room, even though we had a reservation. It felt like we were attending a seminar and completely killed the mood.
B) There were no menus available and we were forced to have the Valentine’s Day package, which we did not want. No one should be obligated to do that.
In spite of having had a somewhat unpleasant experience this time, my wife and I have very much enjoyed our previous visits and are planning to give Anson11 another chance. We sure hope it doesn’t disappoint!
We specifically came *after* Valentine’s Day to avoid the pre fixe menu. We were disappointed that you chose to use it Feb. 15, too. The food was overpriced for what it was. At nearly $300, you need to serve steak. Not sure we’ll be back.
I cannot speak to their daily menu. However, I can say that my Valentine's dinner experience was poor. To sum it up in a sound bite, it was slow, over priced, and underwhelming. We arrived at 8:15 PM. Our first course was bruschetta. Which consisted of a (as in a single) sliced cherry tomato drowned in olive oil and vinaigrette. No bread. Nothing. Just a cherry tomato. Next was their salad. Small poached egg.and some mustard greens. No flavor. It also came paired with a white wine that was worse than the Angora wine served on Turkish Airlines for free. Third course was two shrimp with what I assume was ratatouille. Really is was two nickle sized slices of one zucchini and one yellow squash. This was followed immediately by a single small scoop of dragon fruit sorbet. At this point it was nearly 10pm. A manager dropped by to apologize for the delay in platings. However, my wife and I were fed up and asked for the check. The price for the total fixed menu meal (with a main course and another pairing of wine we didnt have) was set to be $160. We were not told when we made reservations that there was going to be a fixed menu, nor were we aware of the $160 price tag. The manager comped us one meal and gave us a $50 gift card for our troubles. So, we paid $75, didn't finish our Valentine's dinner and ate pizza down the road.
My girlfriend and I decided to try this place for the first time on valentines day. I made reservations for the fine dining floor and looked at the menu prior to our arrival, we were excited to try the steaks. However once we were seated, we were informed that the chef decided to only have a 4 course meal for the day with two options for the starter and 2 options for the main course, items on the menu would not be an option. The food was very good, but we didnt appreciate that we were not informed of this prior, no where in the website did it say about the menu items not being available. The waitress also forgot to give us the first glass of wine that came with the meal.
Oh man o man where do I start. Well as soon as we walked in the staff was very friendly. Our waiter I have to say was for me the best and most knowledgeable waiter I've ever experienced. He knew the menu extremely well and was so professional and never was overbearing but still quite attentive to our needs. Even walked my wife and I to the restrooms instead of pointing us in the direction seeing it was our 1st time there at this establishment. The 6 course set meal for the evening was EXQUISITE.to say the least. Though it was not a fill your tummy type meql by any means for me as it was a pure fine dining establishment and setting, it was very tasty especially their spare rib plate. The meal admittedly WAS steep for the portion sizes but for the experience, ambiance, taste and especially the service it was well worth it. Kudos to you all at ANSONS 11.
Just went in for the Valentine's day 4 course meal and have been waiting here for more than 3 hours. Food is good but service is just terrible. Other tables that came after us have already finished their course meal and we are still here waiting. Spoke to the manager and all he did was apologize and gave us a small cup of dessert wine. For 80 dollars a person would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND.
I’m afraid that if you plan on going to the fine dining at Anson11 for valentines or any other holiday expect to wait 3 and a half hours from sit down to check for a three course meal. Even though the management and staff apologized for the wait due to the holiday, it was clearly a management/ service issue as some tables were served in a timely manner and some were not. Watching tables come and go while waiting 45 minutes to an hour between courses was unacceptable especially since you had to order the valentine day special which came with only the choice between two starters and two main courses. I hear over and over about how El Paso doesn’t appreciate fine dining but maybe our fine dining restaurants need a lesson in basic customer service before complaining about its customers.
Really an exceptional place!!
I had a surprise dinner for my wife, and everything went great.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious!!
I'm definitely coming back.
Beautiful building. Excellent value. Salads were very good- fresh, well composed, not overdone
Great ambiance, food was amazing, service was a little slow.
Polenta with mushrooms had almost no polenta. It should have been called “Mushroom on thin bed of polenta.”
We love this restaurant. Excellent food and there service is great.
