My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary with the help of the manager and staff even though we were late due to an accident on I-10.
The service was very good and the ambience was great, the food however left some to be desired as the chicken and wild mushroom dish I ordered had very undercooked chicken. The dish was immediately taken away to be replaced but nonetheless it took away from the experience.
I usually like this place and as a friend was visiting from out of town I wanted to show them; I’m afraid I oversold the restaurant, the experience was underwhelming.
I always enjoy my time there. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is wonderful. I only wish they would restore the roast chicken they used to serve. It was the best! It kept me coming back more often.
The Mussel appetizer with shoe string fries dripping in buttery sauce alone are worth the trip. For our entree we had a seasonal SeaBass with a flaky flesh that was outstanding. We ate at the downstairs venue
of the restuarant which is more casual and easier to enjoy a lively conversation with friends.
Very sad! Dinner entrees came before appetizers and they were all cold. Yucky and my prosecco was hot and flat! Yucky!! No customer service!!!
I did the five course meal with wine pairing and every single course was delicious the wines were a perfect combination for each course, and I'm really glad they did my special request just how I wanted it.
The food was great
Everything was very professional the attention given was good not too much just right
Sunday Brunch in El Paso while waiting for our car to be repaired. Anson11 was a good choice. We enjoyed seeing the revitalized downtown. The restaurant is beautifully restored to the spirit of its origin. We ordered s glass of wine and then our brunch entree. Very quickly we decided to order an appetizer and we asked the server to make sure our brunch entree would be held. We were assured it would be. Moments after being served our appetizer the entrees arrived. I would still recommend the restaurant. And a visit to the beautifully curated museum of Art.
Consistently excellent. This is the fourth time dining upstairs and the service and food is always amazing.
Our business party of 6 had a great dining experience, live music was eclectic added a great effect. The 2 vegetarians in our group had nothing but great things to say and our service was perfect. Thanks! We’ll be back.
We dined on the 2nd floor. This restaurant is a rare find in El Paso. The food is sophisticated, delicious but not overly fussy. I was there on a Saturday night and the lounge singer was excellent. We had a great meal.
Food was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Service was poor. Appetizers came about 5 minutes before meal so no time to enjoy or meal would get cold. The waiter never checked to see how steak was cooked. Salad was suppose to have hand made croutons but there were none.
I took several people to dinner at Anson 11 on a Monday night for a biz dinner. The bistro area was lively and pretty crowded. We dined upstairs which is quite elegant. It was quiet. Our waiter, Adam, was very attentive and service was excellent. Everyone really enjoyed thier entrees. The starters are kind of eclectic and almost too creative. My only suggestion is that they need a legitimate green leafy salad on the menu ..... at least one! This has become one of my favorite restaurants in El Paso and I’m there at least monthly on biz.
The food was average. I had the meatloaf, which was plated with no visual appeal; however, it did taste good. The service was terrible, as I had to continually look for our server to order drinks and obtain flatware. What drove me crazy was that our salad and entrée courses were served at the same time. Even if the server place the order with the kitchen incorrectly I would have expected the person working the line to catch the error and manage the delivery of the courses correctly.
I am not usually one to complain or write reviews but I had a bad enough experience to write something. I booked a reservation for fine dining yet they put us down stairs and were very rude when I asked why they had put us there. They gave no reason but "its closed" yet I had talked to someone before we got their saying they were good to go. We left right away and booedk a reservation at Cafe Central, I told them the situation and they got us in right away; and we had a great dinner there. Anson's staff was simply unprofessional and unprepared. I can't say anything about the food, but the service was simply poor. In my opinion service is everything, so based on that alone I will never go again. Sorry for being so negative, i wish i had something nicer to say...
A couple showed up after us and was served before us, server said he would bring bread and forgot them instead of apologizing he sent the runner with it and said nothing
Chewing the gnocci was like chewing rolled up gauze.
Slow service, 20 minutes to receive drinks. 45 till the food arrived. Server never refilled drinks or returned to the table to check on us.
Wonderful Lunch Salad and fabulous drinks!
Great experience. Nice music selection for a Sunday evening. Food was fantastic as always. Going back soon.
A wonderful night, great music (Piano)
Wonderful time, waitress was attentive, satisfied customers!
We’ve been to Anson 11 before, and enjoyed the meals both upstairs and in the Bistro. This meal was disappointing.
Great place to go prior to a show at the Plaza. Our service was very efficient and we made it to the show on time.
The food is great. We liked our starters, entrees, and the desert. The service is good, but not great. The waiter can be a bit more watchful and more passionate about their food.
I have always loved the excellent food and service at Anson 11.
Nice place great distance to all the downtown hot spots!!!
We have eaten here many times
This time however the stuff chicken was brought to the table cold
We asked for it to be warmed up but still was barely warm and was dry
We love Anson 11. Great food and the French fries are the best in town, really. :)
The server took care of us really fast due to concert and the food was prepared perfectly. We always eat dinner here before special events.
I took my team here as a "thank-you" lunch. They really enjoyed the different menu items, and the queso fondina was amazing as an appetizer! In the evenings it can get really loud and hard to hear, especially on a busy weekend night, but the sound level was great at lunch.
Everyone at the table thought that the food was amazing and full of flavor and Beautifully plated. The only drawbacks were a the 45 minutes for our food to be served and the slow service for refills on drinks. Because of the great food we will try this restaurant again and hopefully the service will have improved.
Not the usual level of great service. Waitress was overloaded with tables. Drinks took too long, dinner came luke warm. No bread. Papardelle was wonderful. Gorgonzola and pear pizza was too. Would have had dessert, but as slow as service was, didn't want to wait.
Our server was GREAT! I think his name was Berumen. He made the experience worth recommending.
We ate in the bistro downstairs for a friend’s birthday. The food was great but they made a terrible old fashioned. Portions were on the smaller side but not too bad. Créeme brûlée was amaaaaaazing. Overall was great and would go again!
Great experience we will be joining your regulars list!
We detected the restaurant nearby our hotel and were more than contant: the dinner was just extraordinary good (seafood and lamb), the service was very friendly and the prices due to the quality are fair. absolutly worth a visit. if we ever come back to Santa Fe, we'll mak a reservation right in time.
One of my favorite new spots in El Paso on business trips.
It was an unfortunate experience. While the restaurant wasn't busy, the waiter told us that there was a event going on and they were very delayed. Service was slow, he couldn't answer questions and knew nothing about the wine list. 2 of us ordered filets and they were ruined; completely overcooked. My partner noted that it was like 'beef jerky'. The cioppino was fresh but the kitchen was supposedly unable to modify the spiciness. Another colleague had the chicken and mushroom linguine and it was very dry. We will not be going back.
