it is a nice place but waiter was terrible with us, no music outside and we feel like they wanted to kick us out of the place at 10pm on saturday. had great expectations of this place.
If you are looking for the best place in El Paso... this is it
Anson 11 by far is one of the best restaurants in El Paso, form the moment you arrive until you leave it’s just fenomenal. I love the place, the ambiance is great the food is awesome and the service on point every time. My wife and I just live it.
This was my second experience at Anson 11. I was celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary, fittingly. when I called to schedule , initially, I expressed that. When they called to confirm the appointment, I asked the lady about any special acts, or courtesy services provided for anniversary. She confirmed she saw a note regarding my anniversary, and that typically you would get a complimentary dessert. I then asked if they could do anything else, to what she responded we can put a message on a plate. A special message. I then asked to put, "I love you, Munchkin" which she confirmed.
Unfortunately, none of this happened. I was disappointed because of my level of expectations and desire to make a great experience for my wife. Of course, the expectations of Anson 11 were much higher given the premium we paid.
When I asked our waiter (he was amazing by the way; to include accomodating a request to move to a quieter area as the area we were originally placed in was close to an exit, and elbows length to the next customers. We were able to overhear their entire conversation with little effort); the waiter confirmed he saw the note but there was confusion due to the move in seats.
I expect that from a low end/fast food type chain. But, when I know I am spending anywhere between 150-200 for meal for two, my expectations are much higher.
Table wasn’t ready, food was below average quality, salad had no dressing.
We were very disappointed in the food. We have had better at other restaurants in the area. My wife had the Salmon and I had the Sea Bass. The food was too salty and the fish flavor was marginal.
Had the best goat cheese omelet! Service was amazing, we were sitting outside and at some point waiter and manager wanted to make sure we were still ok with eating out side love the service! Also their pancakes were amazing. Can’t wait to go back!!!
The place is beautiful and the service was good. Couldn’t find the waiter for a while so I had to get a drink at the bar on my own. The food tasted good but my eggs benedict were over cooked. I just expected more for the price but overall a good experience.
Asked for happy hour Malbec - server said out of “happy hour” Malbec. So asked for happy hour Rose - same response. I asked for another Malbec at happy hour price since they ran out of “happy hour” Malbec - he said could not do that. We were a party of 6 / brought bread and dipping sauce to only one side of table - had to constantly reach over. When I made reservation, hostess not clear on parking validation requirement and had issues with that as well. Very slow service.
Manuel took very good care of us. We went for a pre concert dinner. Menu items were perfect size. We had the house salad with shrimp and steak. Both were superb and by just enough. Not too much that we were stuffed. Everything met our expectations for this restaurant.
Anson11 was a fantastic experience. Menu selections are refreshingly creative and all delicious. Staff were polite, attentive, and knowledgeable.
Overall it's an ok restaurant. Steak was a bit of a disappointment (cold and not properly cooked as we asked for) but pasta, gnocchi, burrata salad were very delicious
We didn’t have the best experience. Our starters were tasty (ceviche & crab cakes) but the main was a disaster. We had the wild catch of the day. It came out cold, the parsnips weren’t cooked through & the broccolini could have been done a bit more...it was more raw than al dente. We told our server who responded immediately, taking the cold food away and promising a replacement. (I chose to eat my cold meal but my husband’s was whisked away.) This took 30-45 minutes. While we waited our server brought out a salad so there was something to eat. When the food came out, the halibut was done properly but the accompanying veg was still not up to par. The seasonal vegetables we ordered seemed to be more of a hodgepodge of what was left in the kitchen. I’ve never known garbanzos to be seasonal.
While we weren’t impressed with the food, we couldn’t fault the service. One meal & a glass of wine were comped, and we were also given a gift certificate. Our server was very embarrassed and the manager made a point of coming out to talk to us & apologize. We were visiting, so won’t be back, only hope we caught them on a bad night.
As always, Anson11 was fabulous. We went there for dinner and drinks before the 7:30 theater. Great Lemodrops, and we had the meat lover's pizza. They were courteous, quick, and the dinner and cocktails were tasty. Thank you!
Our server was very rude. She was slow and very improper. I have never experienced such terrible service.
Cristina provided wonderful service!! The food was great, as usual. We love the ambience as well. Very historic old building gives a real old El Paso feel to it!
had the burger and it was great. fantastic selection of scotch.
Amazing restaurant. Anson 11 definitely Kickstarted an amazing day
Fantastic evening out with my wife! No one else dined in the upstairs restaurant when we were there which provided a unique ambiance! Food was delicious and service was impeccable.
Food was great...started off with ceviche and then continued to have Paella!! and it was delicious!!
Made the reservation at 11 but doors were opened a lil after 11 (no big deal). Was never asked if we had a reservation but since there really wasn’t anyone else there, we were seated right away.
We ordered green posole, but was brought out red posole. Once our main dishes came out, the waiter really didn’t come by to check on us for refills or how our food was. The food was good but would have wished for a lil more attention.
Staff went above and beyond, food was delicious and service was fast
Food and drinks were great just disappointed with the service.
Food was amazing, service was amazing, overall it was amazing. Super clean, and nice view. My family and I loved it!
It was Sunday morning brunch. They had no coffee ready to go. When they did, it was like warm and chunky. EVERYTHING took way too long.
Really enjoyed my date dinner at Anson 11. Food was delicious and the service was great!
We came for dinner before a show at the Plaza Theater. Dinner was excellent, waiter was very nice and accommodating, wine was fantastic; then we just walked to the show. We had a lovely time! Looking forward to our next visit!
I loved it here so much! Prices are just right, and food is perfectly portioned. Best place in downtown!
We had reservations for their Bistro restaurant but they did not have a table available so they took us upstairs to their fine dining restaurant with the option to be able to order from the bistro menu. This restaurant is definitely very nice. Two of us opted to order from the fine dining menu and our daughter was able to order from the bistro menu. It was nice to have the option since our reservation was for the bistro. Service was awesome, the food was great! We are already making plans to return to their fine dining restaurant.
The experience was great as usual. I requested to have roses on the table for my girlfriend’s birthday. The made the napkin into a rose and had roses for her. The food was good. The good needs to be updated. For the price I expect more (not in terms of portions).
The server was not attentive, I often had an empty glass and he was so slow I started drinking my husbands tea. The chocolate cake was grainy and not tasty I didnt even finish it bc it was so bad. The mashed potatoes where a bit to much oily. The steak was grey on 1 half and the other 1/4 was pink and another 1/4 was red. Very inconsistent steak.
Always an enjoyable venue. Food is usually very good but when it doesn’t meet expectations, the management makes things right. Our last visit we enjoyed our house salad, wine, hamburger and desert. But my catch of the day was not to my liking. Host was very professional at correcting the issue. Service is professional yet friendly.
The server was wonderful, and catered to our every need. Despite our dessert taking a long time, the waitress was very attentive to the issue.
We sat in the downstairs Bistro section of the restaurant, arriving earlier than expected. We were seated immediately. From the start, the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The salads and main course were delicious and very flavorful. Ambiance was wonderful and there was a very eclectic group of patrons. The location of the restaurant near theatres, the downtown plaza and hotels makes it a convenient place to dine. They even have an outside dining area with live music.
The food was delicious. The ambiance was perfect. Perfectly portion meals that satisfied the palate.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful service. Excellent food. Pricey.
Lovely place. Food is amazing, every course was delicious. Excellent service and a very romantic place to celebrate your anniversary.
Great like always. We always like eating here. Will go back soon.
I highly recommend the five course tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Beautiful restaurant. Great ambiance. Highly recommend.
