The portions are very small for the price. The waiter/bartender was nice and attentive. The hostess wasn’t friendly at all. Was seated next to some kind of light installation that was annoying me due to the light shining in my eyes. Pretty atmosphere and decor. The tuna tacos were fabulous. Garlic noodles were so boring I truly cannot believe this is a signature item. The fried banana dessert was so good. Overall AnQi is too expensive for the amount of food you get so we won’t be back.

The food is always good. This time, however, service was not good. That being said, the owner Peter came over and resolved our concerns. He was very professional and made sure we were satisfied customers. This was very much appreciated and I will definitely return to one of my favorite restaurants.

Our experience was great! The area/ table where we were seated was perfect, as it was off from the main dining room, so much quieter. The food as usual was delicious, & the service was great. Our waiter was so knowledgeable, with great recommendations.

Of course it's overpriced if you're Asian and have been to a mom & pop vietnamese restaurant in orange county. Get over it. You pay for the service, the ambience, and presentation, the location, and the brand. Our server was wonderful. The desserts are creations you will not get at a typical asian restaurant with much cheaper seafood options. Food tastes good.. a little milder. Shaken beef is not well done, which I like. One check-in gal was not friendly at all though. I think the furniture is a little old and could be more comfortable and be refreshed. It's worth it if you have the money. Sure, we can get 3x the food at the same price but I don't regret it.

The front staff should be fired! Been going here since it opened as the food and drinks are very good albeit pricey. But the staff at the check in is horrible and have no manners. This is the second time the two people at the podium have been rude, if not for Mother’s Day, would tell them off. Had us sit outside when it was obvious there was seating available inside even though it was cold and windy and they couldn’t get the heater going. The worst part is the attitude of take it or leave it. Completely wrong and hope one of the Managers read this. Because you have lost a long and loyal client.

Disappointing food. It said It’s the special but it wasn’t. The garlic rice was so plain as well as the garlic noodles when it’s suppose to be their special. Literally rice and smell of Garlic. The noodles were plain noodles and 4 grilled prawn - no veggies.. nothing. Will not return.

Hosted a business dinner on a Tuesday night, 6 of us attending. Food was delicious and amazing as always. However, even though the restaurant wasn't busy, service was extremely slow and unattentive which stretched our dinner to over 3 hours, a bit long for our clients! Wine list is good but very overpriced, most bottles 3-4X retail. Next time I'll check on whether they allow corkage and bring my own. They also added a 20% service charge for a party of 6 which is somewhat unusual as I normally see this for parties of 8 or more. I would not have tipped 20% for the service we received on this $1200 check.

Let me tell you something... this place sets the bar for what food quality, ambiance and overall service experience should be. We went on a Saturday at 12pm for lunch with my wife and my two children. The place was beautiful with florissant lighting throughout. We sat on the table near the two beautiful paintings. Our table had two chairs and was connecting to a couch.... Our waiter was sharp, attentive- and was genuinely excited to have us for the first time. He throughly explained the menu including informing us of his personal favorites along with the crown favorites.

I really like the food at AnQi. And I hadn’t been to AnQi since 2019. So I am comparing my experience from a couple of days ago to three years ago. The food was good, as usual, but it came cold, not hot, to the table. Also, we had to flag someone down for serving utensils as well as the rest of the dishes. The staff were very pleasant but the food was cold.

A great pre theater destination. The butterfish at Anqi is one of the most delicious entrees around. Of course, you HAVE to get at least one order of garlic noodles. Be sure to save room for dessert as they have some of the best in OC. The banana fritters are heaven on a plate, but the tableside preparation of the ice cream sundae is a sight to behold as well. Our waitress last night (Bella?) was fantastic, but the food did come out a bit quick. Would have liked a little more spacing to enjoy their drinks and my company.

First time back to Anqi post-COVID. Top notch with great attention to detail. Garlic noodles and galic rice were perfect accompaniment to shaken beef ( Ba luc lac) and jumbo grilled prawns. We ordered our daughter orange peel chicken thinking it was a pedestrian "for kids" option but we were wrong - it was surprisingly nuanced and tasty for the adults as well (was a recommendation by waiter and very happy about that). Rounded things out with ice cream made tableside and the fried banana desert which also did not dissapoint (if you have children the ice cream made tableside is tasty, but is also quite the show and worth the money to see the pomp and circumstance).
