The food and people greeted us well however the service was very slow . Though our reservation was for 8:15 . We didn’t get a table until 8:40 and the food was served after ordering at 9:45 . Disappointed with the delay , otherwise the waiter and the host were at their best behavior. The food tasted good .
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Very nice space with exposed ceiling beams and some exposed brick. Felt intimate and classy.
Service was very attentive and friendly. The tuna entree was delicious, everything else (soup, étouffée and butterscotch dessert) was quite good but not outstanding.
Casual, white table cloth dining in NOLA warehouse district. Warmly greeted by Cody. Great service by Claire. Delicious tuna. Great desserts. Definitely go back.
We had such a wonderful time dining here! Wonderful food, atmosphere, service, everything!
Lovely setting. First time there and we felt like family! Thank you Dillon!
We were visiting New Orleans and our criteria for a restaurant was “nearby” and had a wide selection on the menu. What luck to stumble onto this jewel. Had the Drum with kale and sweet potatoes. Far exceeded the similar meal at Emeril’s the night before. Simple and perfect seasoning that made all the flavors pop! It was my favorite meal while in the city. Great for gluten sensitive people like me. Highly recommend!
This was one of many return trips. The fish entrees were cooked to perfection. We all had different fish main courses. Oysters Rockefeller and salads were well presented and were great as well.
Service was good but not smothering. Will continue to go back.
The service and food was phenomenal! They were accommodating for our large group and again everyone loved their meal! Shrimp linguini :)
just overall excellent. the tuna was AMAZING! service on point, and great music!
Food was awesome. Loved the Oysters Rockefeller and the Lemon Champagne. Bananas Foster bread pudding was amazing. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday. Carlos was an excellent waiter as well.
Terrific dinner, nice bar and setting.
I got the veal, it was tasteless and rubbery; the fettuccine Alfredo paired with veal was best I have ever had.
Delicious food, outstanding service. The bread pudding with bananas foster sauce was to die for!!!
Made a reservation for dinner for a big bachelorette party. The staff was very accommodating, giving us the upstairs room basically to ourselves! Service was wonderful and the food did not disappoint. Everyone loved their food and drinks! We absolutely loved this place!
The waitress’ first night. She was very green and we had to ask for silverware, plates... she brought the 2nd course with the first course. She hovered a lot and didn’t pick up social cues. I was not impressed and expected more.
Had a reservation for 6 at 5:30 pm. When I arrived, there was no one else there. Part of my party was 5 minutes late. During that time 2 parties of 10 came in and they gave our table away. We waited 45 min to be seated, and did not get our entrees until after 7:30. Had to gulp our food and pay early to get to our 8 pm event. The food was good, except for the etoufee, which was not even a little bit spicy. If you go, get the black drum, but not the creole food, and don’t be late!
Service was good for our group of 10 and the food was creative.
Service was great and food was delicious! We really enjoyed our evening.
We were excited to try an authentic creole restaurant and we were impressed by the atmosphere and service. The food was underwhelming and there were a significant amount of items on the menu which they were out of, most notably coffee which we found extremely odd.
We were visiting from out of town, but not sure I would recommend with so many other options available
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive, and the manager even came to our table to sing Happy Birthday to my husband. We had a wonderful evening, and will definitely return.
Food was fabulous and the service was spectacular. Staff was very friendly and professional. Will definitely be back
Really enjoyed our dinner... A caramel mousse with salt was brought to the table for my friends birthday and was the best dessert ever... Don't know what it was called, but I will definitely go back for more...
We really want to love this place. Nice people pretty room but the food is not up to expectations. The pompano was served over very undercooked potatoes and the shrimp remoulade dressing was much too sweet. Shrimp etouffee was better suited for a Morrison's cafeteria. They can do better PLEASE
They were so rude to us for my birthday and didn’t even bring a cake when asked. Did not do anything special and was just very very poor service and mediocre food
Celebration for my cousin earning her masters. Good drinks, food and service.
Great place in the Warehouse District with very attentive service and pleasant ambiance. Food is diverse and fresh with excellent preparation. A New Orleans can’t miss.
The restaurant was not full but our dinner took an hour to arrive after ordering. That was the only negative. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, the food was very good for all in our party.
The food was awesome! We started with oysters rockefeller and bienville combo. Very old school NOLA style, but I really enjoyed it. For the entree, I had the eggplant stuffed with crab and shrimp. The eggplant was lightly fried which provided a nice textural contrast. It was rich and decadent and worth every yummy calorie. My husband had the seared drum with crimini mushrooms and brabant potatoes. I had plate envy! For dessert we had the banana bread pudding. I'll admit, this wasn't my fav. I'm just not a fan of dense bread puddings, but my husband loved it! Lastly service was fantastic!! Our server was accommodating, respectful of my limited time and knew the menu well. We will be back soon.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere nice, staff friendly, drinks where great!
Wonderful date night place or dining with friends. Noise level was low enough to allow for dinner conversation. We went on Valentine Day and the restaurant and staff made it very special for us which was an unexpected surprise. In an area of New Orleans with a lot of charm, away from the tourist hectic noise but the ambiance of the city life.
We had a wonderful waiter and could actually hear one another, something rare at many restaurants.
Oyster artichoke soup was fantastic and oyster Brie app was lovely. Tuna was exceptional. The second main course, the shrimp etouffe, dropped the food score. Needed a bit of acid to brighten flavors and a bit of work on presentation. It had been sitting and sauce had skinned. The wine we selected was great. The comp champagne to begin was an excellent touch and matched our appetizers well. Atmosphere was fantastic and service was attentive. Don’t say this often... we’ll be back . Nice evening. Thankyou, Annunciation !
Outstanding. The pompano was delicious as the oysters bienville . The lemon icebox pie great.
The side car and wife’s wine were very good.
Service staff deserved a good tip.
Really like this restaurant!!!
We booked a table for 6 for 7pm. Arriving at the restaurant 10 minutes early, our table wasn't ready until 7:15pm. After being seated, we ordered drinks and an appetizer in a reasonable amount of time. They arrived promptly. The appetizers and drinks were both quite good. We then ordered main courses, at some point before 8pm. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. The waiter came by once with more bread. Then he told us ours was the next out of the kitchen. Guess what? The next out of the kitchen went to a different table. So, we waited some more. Then we asked what was going on and he said that our food was being plated. 15 minutes went by, and... no food. The food finally arrived around 9pm and just wasn't that good. They offered to "make it up to us" by giving us dessert, but we instead asked for them to comp us some items. They credited off 70 bucks worth of drinks, so that was positive. But, rest assured, next time we're in NOLA, we won't be making a the trek to this restaurant.
Neno was our waiter and was very professional. Great food and a convenient location.
From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The place is a converted warehouse; done very nicely. Lamp lit outside, clean cut within, and airy but in no way “cold”. A really nice bar for pre-dinner cocktails and then a nicely sized dining room with maybe 12 tables (there is more seating upstairs for groups I believe).
The menu was intriguing and the food, once we’d made our choice, absolutely sublime; both in terms of presentation and quality (the yellow-fin tuna and rice will have me back sooner rather than later)! A great wine list topped everything off nicely.
If I am asked “where?”, for an evening of NOLA fine dining (and a welcome change from the boisterousness of the French Quarter), my answer right now is easy... ANNUNCIATION!
I usually eat at Annunciation at least once a year when in NOLA. It never disappoints, and this year was no exception. There’s a new chef and the menu is now more Creole than before, but dishes are still outstanding and everyone in our party was pleased. Richard, the maître d’, was fantastic, as always.
Good dining. Well executed. Service was adequate. We were satisfied with the experience.
Service was very poor. We had 8pm reservations and at 8:50pm we still hadn’t even placed our order. The food was average at best. Very disappointing
