Outstanding meal and great service. Highlights were Gulf fish, Chicken and Dumplings, and Bread Pudding for dessert!
Annunciation is a great restaurant. The food and wine was excellent. The service was excellent. There was nice music but not too loud. We will definitely go back!
The waiter was obnoxious (trying to be funny), but was not. The food was below a zero. One of the dinners was so salty, it was not edible. The owner came by and we mentioned it to him, and he did say that chef got a bit overzealous with the spices. We got our check. Despite that one of us did not eat, they still charged us the full amount for the dinner.
There are so many nice places to eat - make a wise choice.
It was expensive, and not worth a dime of it.
I might have written a better review had we not been charged for the 'bad' dinner, but I can't.
We were even told that the 'breading' before frying was very light. NOT! The chef must have learned how to bread soft shell crabs and sweetbreads from KFC - thick and tasteless!
The duck was great as usual. Service was impeccable.Wine was very good for a house wine available by the glass. The menu is fairly broad, the sweetbread app is also a usual for me.
We tried the pork shoulder, and it was fork tender and well seasoned. I highly recommend for a nice evening.
Excellent food, service, atmosphere
Food was great. Service was great.
Annunciation is consistently wonderful - casual but upscale atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious food.
Excellent food. Our waiter was We had a great time.
Great food and service never had to ask for anything the waiter was quick to ask if we needed anything. No glass was ever empty.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff and food. Would definitely go back.
Great food. Great service. Everything we ordered was delicious.
A really top-notch place. All staff were very friendly (but not over-bearing). The food was creative and very good. Lovely atmosphere. We can't wait to return.
Celebrated my birthday here and everything was fabulous. Looked like all COVID protocols were in place, staff were super friendly, and my meal was one of the best I had in a long time. Thanks Annunciation for making my night so memorable!
Only one other table due to Covid. Knowlegeable and attentive waiter. Cozy and romantic. Beet salad and drum were both oustanding. So fresh.
Elegant Southern ambience, perfectly assembled dishes, loved it!
Food was great, drinks were strong, and our server (Mackensie) was terrific.
Just ok. Salad and starters were very small and overpriced.
Everything about this restaurant is fantastic. Great food, service, and ambiance! Highly recommend.
Dinner was so delicious!!! Every single course was something to rave about. The Pomme Frites and Hashbrown Brussel Sprouts were highlights for my toddler. Beet Salad and The Drum Special were AMAZING!!! My dad really enjoyed the ambiance and reminisced of old days in that building...a new memory if a wonderful Father's Day was added that day.
Delicious menu. Lots of great options & exceptional service
The craft cocktails are delicious. The oysters Bienville are excellent. The duck is the best in town! Renee is a terrific waiter, honest, reliable, always wonderful to have him as our server.
Perfect evening! Food and ambiance was on point. Server was polite and professional. Highlights were the Drum dish and Bananas Foster Bread Pudding for dessert. Yum!
Good selection of appetizers, entrees, and great desserts.
Friendly, attentive waitstaff.
If I was not from NOLA and knew the quality of food available in this city, I would say it was very good. But the food was not anything special, given the great food I've eaten here. For example, I had the soft-shell crab Monica, which was as rich and creamy as any Crawfish Monica I've eaten, but the soft-shell crab was not as good as one I had eaten recently at a lower-priced restaurant. My table mates, felt the same way about their food.
Ambiance was nice, and the other guests seemed to be enjoying their conversations and the service.
Meh. Just not worth the expense, honestly.
One of New Orleans restaurants that still gives out bread at no charge. Best oysters Rockefeller and godchaux salads around. A must try. Great service and cocktails. Just go and experience it.
We had the pleasure of being served by Renee. He was great stayed in top of wine and water. Food was also great and made to my specifications due to allergies. Highly recommend!
Boudin balls were fire 😉
Annunciation is a great dining experience, excellent food and attentive service. The appetizers are especially interesting with many unique choices.
Horrible service. Our waiter played on her phone the entire time. We had to pour our own wine and send my filet back. Not sure how you over season and burn a filet. Our appetizers were cold and bland. Bad start and even worse finish. After speaking to the manager he did nothing to correct the situation. We will never be back!
Excellent dish options, nice ambience.
First dinner out since the city reopened, service was beyond exceptional. Everyone made us feel very comfortable. The cocktails were outstanding, Tom Collins and Sidecars. I do think the roasted oysters had too much boudin and cayenne pepper. The fried oysters with Brie and spinach were perfect! The soft shell crab Monica was one of the best we every had. The Pompano and crab in brown butter is one of the best dishes in the city. We will be back!
Top notch dining experience! Wasn’t sure what to expect as it was my first time in a restaurant since lockdown but Annunciation did not disappoint! Highlights were the gumbo and drum dish and my old fashioned was on point. Full menu was being offered too. Looking forward to a return trip!
Our first dinner after the lockdown. Celebrated our anniversary at this special place!
Happy Anniversary and thank you for choosing us to celebrate such a special event! Please keep us in mind for any future dining experiences!
AMAZING! What a great place to celebrate the city’s (phase one) reopening! Cocktails were great - entree’s were generous. Carlos was gracious and attentive. What an amazing dinner!
We had a party of 9 everyone tried something different and loved it we had great waiter Rene kept the drinks flowing and with this group that was a challenge we will be back
The food was amazing but we were unimpressed with the service and with our table location. We were seated in the middle of the walkway and right by the door so the server was frustrated every time he had to come to our table and he and other customers bumped us constantly while walking around our table. There could have been some reconfiguration to avoid this issue. The server was also pretty snippy with us the entire night, which is not something I have experienced before.
The place was ok but nothing special. We enjoy the Chicken and dumpling appetizer very much, but the main courses were quite disappointed. Stuffed Eggplant was recommended as their signature dish and it was just ordinary. My colleague had shrimp pasta which was not that good. Then the bill came my old fashion was $18 because the waiter asked what bourbon I would like and I said please have the bartender recommend for me. Any the food was so disappointing and overall, i would never go back!
20 people and was fantastic
Great food and friendly staff, will definitely come back.
Excellent restaurant in the Warehouse district. The food was outstanding, drink options were diverse and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the Boudin Balls.
