Great food, excellent service. A hidden gem n the Warehouse District!
Food was very traditional and not exciting or modern in any way. Good for the blue haired crowd and those new to Creole.
Great service. No oyster dishes were available due to bridge/delivery issues.
Server phenomenal, recommended duck and it was good.
Upstairs is quiet if you went that or if you want action stay downstairs. Great wine list, terrific cuisine, terrific service (Kevin was our waiter and he is great). Going back again tonight two days later.
Its our first time and it was great, food was delicious. We love it
Food was delicious. Friendly waiter. Cozy space. Loved it!
Wonderful food and good waiter - will be back
Wonderful food and service! Best food and dining in New Orleans!
Great food and service.
This place is amazing. The soft shell crab was perfect. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal.
The service is excellent.
Food and service were excellent for a group of 12.
Very cool ambiance and great service to boot! Started with the oyster artichoke soup and it just got better from there. My dining partner ordered the Trout and I had the Drum dish. Both were outstanding. Great wine selection too! Definitely a hit and we will be back.
Great time. Service was excellent. Great food.
Bathrooms are horrific. Table was a metal saucer that the plates felt like they would slide off as we had 7. All they had to do was put two tables together instead of this makeshift joke. Waiter acted drunk. Appetizers were not impressive. Only thing good here was the entree’s
Props to the host that night who made sure we were seated comfortably, complimented our first round of drinks, and even called a cab for us to go back to the hotel. He went above and beyond! The food was amazing. The oyster and artichoke soup was delicious, the Veal Anunciation was perfect, and the blue cheese dressing on our salad was the best I’ve ever had. I could not give this restaurant a more ringing endorsement!!
Food and service was fantastic noise level is a little much after the restaurant started to fill up
This was not our first visit to Annunciation. It is always a pleasure to go there and we very much enjoy it. Classic dishes mixed with innovative new ones. Worth the trip every time!
I had the steak and pomme frites. The steak was overdone and poorly seasoned. The pomme frites were soggy and dripping with cooking oil. I expected better food.
The environment was wonderful! Time flew by in there and we didn’t even notice because we were having such an amazing time wining and dining. Will definitely be back!
I had extremely high hopes for this choice of mine. We ordered the roasted duck and drum fish for entrees and the fried chicken and dumplings as our app. The app came out in a small bowl with exactly 4 gnocchi, 2 tomatoes, 2 carrots, and one chicken thigh. By the time you got past the strong garlic and onion in the dish it was halfway gone :(. The chicken was good with a slightly sweetened batter and fried perfectly.
The roasted duck was delicious. With toasted pecans, sauteed spinach , and wild rice it was a filling meal. The raspberry sauce on top of it all gave it almost a salad essence that i really can't complain about.
My friend had the drum fish and said it was great. It was just above being flakey and the veggies that accompanied it (sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and broccoli) were cooked perfectly.
Great cousin, excellent service, easy to make a reservation. I have been coming to Annunciation for several years and I never get disappointed. Definitely a great place for dinner or private party.
Everything just ok, nothing outstanding. Old Fashion cocktail was not good. Will not be back, too many better choices.
My new favorite NOLA restaurant; intimate and cozy. My wife and I had one of the best NY strips we’ve ever tasted, and we are big steak enthusiasts. Not a steak house though...great seafood too. And the gumbo is southwest Louisiana genuine, which is rare for the New Orleans . Great bartender ( named Garaway) who remembered us from our first visit six months earlier. Wait staff very professional.
Excellent meal. Trout Amandine was a favorite. Is lightly fried, almonds, kale and potatoes. All perfect. Also loved the oysters Rockefeller.
Food wonderful/ excellent and waitress was great-everyone so attentive; it did get super loud at 8 ish when room filled with 2 large parties and we three couldn't hear each other and were wincing at the sheer volume
Food was pretty good, but the waiter (at a seafood restaurant) admitted he didn’t like seafood and did not know how to take the shell off of a crab leg. The salads also felt extremely cheap for such a nice restaurant.
The poor service definitely put a dint in what otherwise would’ve been a good meal. Unfortunately the management was completely unapologetic as well. I would give them a second chance but my wife refuses to return.
Overpriced and barely, mediocre food. Prepared and served with an “I don’t care if they ever return” attitude.
Shrimp remoulade tasted like a cocktail sauce with lettuce that was half-wilted and expired, should never have been served to a paying customer.
Duck that was over-cooked, tough and tasteless served with “wild rice” that was actually a medley of rice that looked and tasted like it was an Uncle Ben’s rice mix. For $32!
The Trout meniere was fried, not sautéed, so the sauce had the unfortunate effect of turning the crust into a mushy coating. This was served with potatoes that were so undercooked that I needed a sharp knife to cut through them. The kale was the only edible item on the plate.
For dessert we had a pecan pie that consisted of a few pecans sprinkled on top of a dry, tasteless cake. Never had a worse version in my life.
All this was accompanied by an amazingly overpriced selection of bad wines.
The server tried to do her best but it was a loosing battle.
A total waste of time and money. Will never be back.
Unfortunately it took over 2 hours for our food! Most of our food was lukewarm, it was tasty but not hot! I know Holidays are difficult but this was ridiculous! Our waitress was awesome and extremely apologetic and even went to the manager! Ho ho ho Merry Christmas we made the best of it!
Christmas Eve dinner. Very nice staff. Food was good but not as good as my previous visit. I believe it was due to holiday.
Excellent food and service. Love this restaurant. It's a must to visit for a great dinner.
We are here after attending a play. It was very quiet. Our food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely dine here again.
Excellent meal and surroundings
Amazing service....beautiful atmosphere....fabulous food!!
Always excellent!! The soft shell crab was not quite as fresh as anticipated but never the less wonderful meal!
Delicious food. Attractive ambiance
disappointed in food taste. Batter and oil taste overpowers flavor of the food itself. Service was great.
I booked this restaurant for a dinner for two in celebration of my husband’s 53rd birthday. The food was amazing! We started with Oyster Bienville, Boudin Balls, and Artichoke & Oyster Soup. I can’t say enough about these starters. I could have licked the inside of the oyster shells!! So good. The soup was simply perfect with just the right amount of everything. Let’s not forget the boudin. I don’t know what the sauce was but it made the dish pop in every way. On to our entrees: Softshell Crab Monica for my husband and Crabmeat Sardou for me. Where do I even begin. Every bite we looked at one another in disbelief at how light these incredible creations were. One last thing.... their French bread is like the bread I grew up with as a child in Lafourche Parish. It is light but crisp. It is served warm and melts in your mouth. It isn’t stale brick bread. No, this is the real deal. So our complements to the chef who nailed each dish perfectly, the server (who hustled all night), the Maître d’ who was everywhere doing everything. You all made the night and the food a wonderful 53rd birthday for my husband & me. Thank you! We will certainly be back.
The gumbo and oyster appetizer were delicious. Both my soft shell crab and my wife’s veal mains were also excellent.
Service was attentive and not over bearing
