We partner with The Infatuation to bring you their smart, helpful, trustworthy reviews of restaurants on OpenTable.

The food at Annisa is miticulously presented and is delightful ! I love everything about Annisa. It's one , if not, my favorite place to go for great dining. Cheers!

Wanted to check this out before it closed. I'm afraid I can't recommend it. While the dishes were creatively conceived, they fell far short on execution. The famous foie gras soup dumplings were dry, dense and still hard to eat, and the pork-belly tower was underseasoned and a mess on the plate. Solid service, but weird wine program, probably as they try to deplete their cellar before shuttering. Would be curious to try the chef's food again someplace else, but you can tell Annisa is already circling the drain.

Outstanding tasting menu. Everything was delicious. The portions were extremely generous for a tasting menu, we normally expect to receive literal tastes of most courses, but we had to fight to the finish. Everything was outstanding. For goodness sake do not fill up on the bread given pre-meal, no matter how good it is.

This was my second time at Annisa. The first time I came for Mother's Day and had an amazing experience. This time I brought my family for a birthday dinner but was unfortunately very disappointed with the service. I understand the gratuity is included in the price but the service should still be outstanding. My waitress was unfriendly, rude, and very cold. She didn't smile once and didn't go over the menu at all. When the food came she didnt introduce any of the dishes. I also had to keep asking her for water and she took forever to take our order. She also had to reached over the table to pour water and pushed the table into my aunt. For an elegant place like Annisa the service definitely ruined the experience for everyone.

Annisa came through again as we celebrated my husband's birthday and our anniversary, as we had done here a few years ago. So sad that this Village 'mainstay' of very high quality and creative dishes should be closing in May. A real loss to the neighborhood and the culinary world. Service was not just prompt but very friendly, and we felt very comfortable and 'at home'. We salute all who made it a wonderful experience.

Had a 5 course tasting menu. The food is always well presented, original ingredients, but the flavors and combinations lacked "finesse". Also had a wine pairing, which was ok, but overly expensive, at about $ 65 per person, for wines that were interesting and original but clearly inexpensive. The place smelled fried food with some smoke. Maybe if the wine pairing had been less expensive, I would be less harsh on this review...

Annisa is closing on May 27, 2017 and will be a huge loss to the West Village food scene. Make sure to get your reservation in before then and try the ginger vodka cocktail, foie gras soup dumplings, steak tartare, mackerel and duck dishes! They are to die for!

What a beautiful night! Came with my husband for a delayed Valentine's Day dinner and it did not disappoint. Ambiance: it's a beautiful, calm room with a lovely sound track. Service: professional yet friendly. Food: beautiful, creative and intense. Thoroughly enjoyed the deconstructed vitello tonnato. My husband had the steak tartare and chicken. His comment: the chef put her heart and soul on the plate. Finished with the chocolate dessert, and walked out very happy. Only other comment is it's pricey, so would not be a weekly destination. Go before it closes.

Food was delicious. We created our own tasting menu by sharing dishes, and the kitchen split everything for us. Creative takes on some well-known dishes, and others just unique to this restaurant. Very austere though formal dining room. Nice wine pairings with each course as well.

Please don't go! Annisa is a rare island of delicious calm and New York will be a poorer place when you close.

I urge anyone who has never visited, to make a reservation. It's a delightful evening and a comprehensive sophisticated dining experience.

I understood Annisa was one of the finest in NYC so I had high expectations. To start, I asked the waiter what the neighbors table was eating (so I could order it). (It was beautifully done.) He wasn't sure because they had started eating so he left & returned with the name. I ordered it as it was a fish and looked good. It arrived displayed beautifully however quite different from the neighbors dish. I understand each meal can be very individual. The broth was much too salty for my taste and the texture of the entire meal was soft (fish was soft with creamy soft tofu on soft broth... no variation) personally disappointed. The portions are small. It is good if you want creatively displayed food with unique ingredients - the artistry is to be noticed. I'm glad I finally tried it, food looks very pretty. Not worth going back for me, sorry

Annisa was a joy. The food was exquisite, the service was attentive without being overbearing, the wine selection was very good and the prices were fair for the quality. Best of all, unlike so many hard-surfaced, metallic, glass, ceramic, rugless restaurant environments, Annisa's decor facilitated quiet conversation, which we greatly appreciated as we were there catching up with good friends. The day before, we ate at Le Coucou for more $$$$ and were disappointed in both the food and the wine. In contrast, Annisa was a total winner.

This is a very accomplished restaurant. It consistently delivers top food for a long time now. The front desk is accommodating and friendly without acting like your pal. They respect their reservation time.
One small drawback: the night i went the ventilation was not working so well so the air in the restaurant smelled faintly of food being cooked.
Every dish was perfectly balanced. The sometimes unusual combinations of ingredients worked together very well. I would eat there every week if I could afford it!
