Annadele's Plantation Ratings and Reviews
Went for Valentines Day. They had a special 3 course menu. The food was very good. I had oysters en croute for my first course, filet mignon in a red wine sauce as my entree and creme brûlée for dessert. My boyfriend has crab cakes, blackened trout and strawberry shortcake. We both enjoyed our dinners. Very nice quiet atmosphere and intimate setting.
The service was wonderful but the food was a mixed bag. The gumbo was fantastic, while the crab cakes were underwhelming. The shrimp and grits were not edible. It was like someone poured a cup of soup on top of fried shrimp and watery grits. However, the French toast was divine! Still a nice brunch overall.
Disappointing! Felt like rush you out the door poor service and food. When we arrived our table was not ready so we went into bar. The bar has 6 seats that were full, no one standing, except the 4 of us. bartender & 1 bar back which neither welcomed us, smiled or asked what we wanted, we had to get his attention to get 4 drinks (2 beers/2 martinis). We finally got our table after 16 minutes & were greeted immediately but not asked what we want to drink since ours were gone. SHe said menu on your plate, what do you want for your starter. So we ordered & we did ask for drink menu/wine list which was never brought until we asked a 2nd time 12 minutes later to a busser. Waitress came by once again said did you ever get drink menu, yes, but you never asked what we wanted & this was after 20+ minutes. We got drinks after salad/soup came out. When drinks empty, never asked if wanted refill! We asked for bread when salad came, but they came out when main dish did (rolls bought from store). Turtle soup was decent, salad lacked taste in a bitter dressing & was very small. This was NYE pre-fix menu, so it should be top of their game. CHoices were decent we ordered 2 chicken, filet and fish. None had flavor & tasted like they sat out all night & reheated in microwave. It was not a busy dining room. Maybe 14 tables with 2-6 top is all, so they should be able to service this many in 1 evening w/pre-fix menu. They had 2 servers we saw w/3- 4 bussers plus a Manager and host walking around. For the price, location & type of restaurant, it did not deserve any stars. Very disappointing service & worst meal in all cases (especially on the Northshore). I would not recommend this restaurant, there are too many exceptional restaurants on the Northshore that even when busy or we go w/a pre-fix menu is superb & deserves 4-5 stars..this however isn't one. This deserves 1 star for ambience only because of its land/location, not because of the internal décor, food or service.
Great restaurant for a special occasion. We went Christmas Eve. The food was excellent. The only complaint was the service was erratic although they did not seemed to be overly busy. At first, the service was rushed, took a while to get our cocktails then the appetizer and entre came in rapid succession-too rapid. The second round of cocktails took forever to arrive and we had to ask for them twice. In fact one came after the meal was eaten. The only complaint about the food was the coffee. Weak and lukewarm. All this being said, I will highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning soon.
We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday brunch at Annadele's! Our GPS was wrong, so we drove around a bit before finding the place, but we were very glad we found it! We had lunch to say goodbye to some special friends, and the meal and the company were wonderful. Our waitress knew our friends, so she interrupted several times; it was a little annoying, but she was very sweet so it wasn't really a problem.
We went for Thanksgiving and 65.00 a person you should have great service and be made to feel special. We waited 40 min from dinner till desert. With empty water glasses. If we are spending that kind of money, we should receive exceptional food and service. Would not recommend to anyone for a special holiday with a set menu.
My father spent Thanksgiving with me and so I wanted to find a restaurant that was fine dining with a casual atmosphere so he would get an excellent meal but it would not be stuffy or uncomfortable for him. This restaurant was PERFECT. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff to the helpers to the manager were super friendly and very accommodating. The food was EXCELLENT!!! I could not have been more pleased and my dad LOVED it and wants to go back when he visits again. He ate every single bit of every course! I will definitely bring my friends there as well. Really great experience. They made our Thanksgiving special and enjoyable!
This was our second year at Annadelle's for Thanksgiving. Menu and Ambiance were wonderful but the cost per person increased from prior year. Yet, the 3 course meal was very similar. Food is always delicious; Service is Excellent and ambiance is the reason we chose to return.
Will check on cost before we book for any special event.
We had our family(eleven total) Thanksgiving at this beautiful plantation. The service was great and the food was delicious. Most of us chose the turkey dinner(with oyster dressing, sweet potatoe, and green beans). The oyster stuffing was our favorite. Everyone raved about their desert. The bread pudding and cheese cake were a hit. Would do this again next year. Great food without any fuss.
SO GOOD - a real hidden gem! Husband and I went there for our anniversary and got the savory cheesecake, pesto pesce, gulf fish Pontchartrain, and the bread pudding for dessert and everything was incredible. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp, lump crab, or the huge pieces of crawfish in the crawfish risotto and everything was super flavorful. We moved to the NS from New Orleans and honestly this place could go toe to toe with any of the top nola spots. We will definitely be back!
We have eaten at Annadele's Plantation several times in the last year. Each time it has been a delightful experience and the food is superb. Which is why we go back, rather than going across the lake to the city. It rivals any good restaurant in New Orleans.
