We fully enjoyed our meals, wine and service. Will go back.
We had a reservation but had to wait about 10 min for our table because every table was dirty.. there were only about 3 other tables eating. Very strange! The bartender was so slow making our drinks. Food was good .. won’t go out of our way to return.
A neighborhood gem! I have enjoyed this restaurant for over 15 years. Thank you, Anna Maria Pasteria!
Wonderful food was had by all four of us and we each ordered different dishes!!!
My partner and I have been enjoying this restaurant ever since we moved to the area. The ambiance is ideal for an enjoyable dinner with pleasant conversations.
The staff is as nice as they come. Hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable of their menu. And the food is amazing. Pesto Linguine, Stuffed Shells, Polenta in a mushroom cream sauce and their Bruschetta is among our favorites. Plus, they serve warmed butter with their bread. That’s a winner right there.
Anna Maria's was wonderful as always.. It is our favorite restaurant in Chicago
This place started off on a high sith the hostes being very friendly. The meal started off with some bread, butter, and olive oil. It wasn't the best, but very obviously fresh from the oven. The food was where we really saw a decline. My table ordered gnocchi and pork saltimbuca. The gnocci was fine, but tasted like what I would get pre-packaged at the grocery. The pork was a bit over-cooked and the prosciutto portion was quite pitiful. Overall, not horrible but also did not justify the prices that they charge.
Everybody enjoyed the experience. The food was great and the staff was friendly and attentive. We would all return.
This place is best described as "comfortable," food was good and as a friend says, "if the lasagna is good, I'll come back," he plans on coming back.
We arrived right after the pre-theater rush and were seated right away. The appetizers, soup, salad and entrees were all delicious with good portions and excellent value. Not much to look at from the outside but nice ambiance inside. Will definitely be returning.
Anna Marie never disappoints. Always great food and service. The regular menu items are always delicious as are the specials.
My husband and I have been patrons of Anna Maria’s For 28 years, since they opened in Buena Park. That’s says it all, doesn’t it? The food is perfect and very authentic. Service not just good, but so friendly w/o bring at all intrusive. This is a great Italian restaurant at $$-$$ prices. Love it.
Excellent food and excellent service. Entire staff very attentive
excellent ore-theater option with wonderful, creative and authentic Italian food. Will go back every opportunity I can.
Wonderful relaxing holiday dinner with family after theatre. Food was delicious, especially the pasta! Service was great and not rushed. We will be back soon!
Food was very disappointing. Calamari was so tough it had to be returned. Veal Parmesan was also disappointing.
Slightly expensive. Was dismayed that bartender could not make brandy Alexanders for my friend and I.
Friendly staff, wonderful food, great ambiance and convenient location.
Our Families favorite. It is a best kept secret. Tiramisu - wow! Homemade pasta- Yum!
If you need an OK italian meal, this is your place. we were able to get in ...in short notice. Service was ok and food was the same.
The food is always outstanding and we are treated like family. They always remember us and our favorite food!
This was our first time at Anna Maria it seems very unassuming on the outside, which belies the experience. Excellent meal with exceptional service. We enjoyed appetizers and two different pasta dishes, all of which was delicious and clearly made fresh with fresh ingredients. We will definitely return.
Food is always good. Love Tiffany the waitress and Alberto the bus boy - so attentive and friendly. Always happy to see them when dining there.
Great food - pasta melts in your mouth - authentic and dependable every time. We hadn't been in a long time and my favorite dish, chicken marsala, was not on the menu anymore, so we asked the waiter, and he said that they could make it. And it was as good as I remember! They also accommodated my partner who had some special requests. A friend had the stuffed tortelinni, and I may order that the next time we go; the pasta was heavenly! And the mini cannoli are a great way to end the meal.
We were there on a Sunday evening and enjoyed the live music.
Our only disappointment came when we learned that they no long offer grilled calamari, which was one of my favorite items on their menu.
We've been dining here for 20 years and they never disappoint. A true neighborhood gem!
Outstanding food and service. Charming neighborhood gem!
Nice variety on the menu, salad was excellent, entrees were good. Service was attentive. On a Friday evening there was live music with a singer. It was very nice that the restaurant had this but it might have been better if it started later. We were there at 7 with out-of-town friends, so we wanted to talk yet felt uncomfortable talking while the singer was performing. She was very nice and friendly, but the vocals were a bit loud for the size of the room.
Anna Maries is my go to neighborhood restaurant. The food, especially the pasta dishes and specials are delicious and a great value. The service is excellent. Highly recommended.
Great venue for post-theater or pre-theater at the Black Ensemble plus for an extra $10 the theater will move/ park your car across the street. Thank you Jackie Taylor!!
Everything was great as usual. They had a jazz combo there the night I was there which is wonderful, but it would have be nice if they could have lowered the volume down a bit (early in the evening at least) as it was hard to talk and hear. Other than that everything was wonderful as usual.
All was fine except they screwed up the bill. Charged my charge card twice and didn't charge the other couple. We will handle it between us.
My friends and I was attending the play and we wanted something close by for dinner. The restaurant offered a 10% discount for dinner for attending the play. The food was excellent, and great service. Would recommend to others.
Always pleasant, thanks to Scott always attentive and informing, we can't say enough, extremely enjoyable nice start to an evening at theatre.
Great service! Accommodated our big party well.
It seems the restaurant was short staffed that evening and our service as well as getting our meal suffered.
Good food and ambiance. Perfect for pre or post theater
Wonderful, reliable choice for pre- or post-meal after a show at the Black Ensemble Theater just steps away. I love that they offer choice of pasta or steamed veggie with dinner entrees which are generous and tasty. Only wish their bread basket included the end pieces. But maybe I just missed out to another table this time!
And don't miss the yummy tiramisu. Totally worth the calories!
Service is friendly and efficient.
We went to Anna Maria's for my partner's birthday. I hadn't been there in over 10 years, so it was nice to reconnect with the staff. The food was great, and we enjoyed the wine selection. The restaurant was not too busy for a Friday night, and we overall had an excellent evening.
It took kind a good 20 minutes for our server to come and greet us. Once we were helped, the experience was great. The food was delicious.
Seriously understaffed with only 1 waiter on a Friday night, pre-theater. He tried, but couldn't keep up. Salad was fresh and good, but pasta with seafood was bland and mediocre.
