Anna Maria Pasteria
Beginning at age seven, Anna fell in love with cooking, creating her first plate of Pasta e Fagioli, a simple peasant dish which is now an Italian specialty. Enamored with cuisine and hospitality, Maria followed the family tradition and put her heart into making the best and most heavenly Tiramisu.
After two decades, Anna and Maria continue to dedicate themselves to the finest home-made Italian cuisine and service. Each entree is prepared to order with only the finest and freshest ingredients.

It was wonderful as always. Anna Maria’s is our go to restaurant for the last 30 years. It’s our 2nd home. We are there at least twice a month and have done so since we first started going there
Great place for a hearty meal before heading to Wrigley! Solid menu and very straightforward, delicious food. Service was excellent - kudos to the staff (I believe there were only 2-3 people serving/bartending for the entire dining room)!!
Our waiter was friendly and helpful in assisting with drink and food choices. The three entrees we had were terrific.
It was Barbara and mine 3rd Anniversary of being together, and we had a wonderful evening!
Everything was "superb" we couldn't ask for more!
We love this little Italian restaurant, Anna María Pasteria and would recommened everyone to go this gem.
Anna María Pasteria is truly a "Five Star" restaurant without the High cost of one!
When you go there once you will be coming back again and again.
Food is always super yummy, and we love the staff there who treat us like family!
Absolutely the worst Italian in Chicago. Spaghetti, Ragu, Stuffed shells hard to screw up and we’re frozen dinner material.
Thank you Anonymous for taking the time to leave us a review. We generally like to deal with dissatisfied experiences before you leave the restaurant. Did you let your waiter know? We are pretty intuitive, however we are not mind readers. Letting us know before you leave allows us to fix the dish or get you something even better. We never want our guests to leave unsatisfied. We hope that you can find it in yourself to give us another try.
Excellent food, service & friends!
A wonderful destination for excellent food, comfortable ambiance and always, excellent service!
The service was exceptional! The staff was so friendly and attentive throughout our meal, our water cups were always full and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. We started with the bruschetta and each had a specialty cocktail. Then we each had a pasta dish for our entrees. The sauces were so good and the pasta was delicious! We ended the meal with an espresso and a slice of tiramisu! The cake was soft and amazing. Definitely recommend checking this place out for a date night or just dinner in general!
We had an excellent meal here. The food, like the mozzarella, used very fresh ingredients. The lamb chops and potatoes were fantastic.
It was very quiet, as we were the only people in the restaurant at 8:30. Wine was lovely, entrees were delicious, and dessert was rich. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent authentic northern Italian food. Service friendly if inefficient. Lovely owner. Highly recommended.
This small restaurant has an impressive breadth of menu and a very good chef. Located at a corner very convenient for stopping to let passengers off while the driver finds an easy street-parking place within a block or so. Nice table-spacing -- a help because the noise level (especially emanating from small children) can be a bit high for older people with hearing problems!). Service was very good: friendly and flexible, willing to try a novel cocktail and get it right or replace it with a good standard drink.
Always awesome. All the way around.
We’re from out of town, but used to go to Anna Maria’s when we lived here. It’s still amazing! The pasta was cooked to perfection. We ordered the amaretto cake which was delish as well. We will be back!
We go often. The staff remembered us even after the long hiatus and even remembers the orders. Reliably delicious.
Excellent food as always. Owner and staff are lovely.
Anna Maria Pasteria is an institution in Chicago, For more than 30 years, they have served great Italian food in a friendly and warm environment. The head waiter has been serving us for close to 30 years, always with a smile.
Check it out.
Casual neighborhood Italian restaurant. Food was good but not spectacular. Price was good.
Great food and outstanding service!
A local Italian restaurant with great ambiance, very good food and service.
Service was wonderful, as usual. Food was fresh and flavorful. The pre-dinner bread was warm. The discount for cash is a nice touch.
Wonderful evening celebrating with family. The service, food and ambience were amazing. Well done!
It's the first time I had been to Anna Marie's since the before times. I was having to enjoy their delivery options during the past year. The food and service were excellent as always. It was so nice to be back.
Lovely little neighborhood restaurant. Great food and great service. A toast to the sisters Anna and Maria.
I love this restaurant and have been going there for years. In fact I began my relationship with AMP when they were at a different location. Some of the same employees are still there!
The food is great! The service is superior! The warm, inviting atmosphere can’t be beat. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Everything about our dinner was first rate! Attentive service, delicious food, cozy ambience and reasonable prices.
A very special Chicago restaurant. Our family has a long history there.
Food was excellent as always and staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Anna Maria is a wonderful Italian restaurant.
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Food came out hot, however was very average for an Italian restaurant. Our server was not attentive and several times we had to track him down for things. Atmosphere was the best part, while busy that night it did not feel too crowded and noise level was not an issue at all.
Greatneighborhood restaurant that has been a round a long time with authentic flare. The food was fantastic. Get the bread pudding AND the cannoli...don't try to decide between the two. :-)
Food was wonderful! Comes out piping hot, just as we ordered! Delicious pastas with warm crusty bread! Perfect evening.
The service is impeccable! As if we were the only pp in the restaurant! Made sure we felt welcomed, comfortable and that all of our needs were met...
Such a lovely resturant....
This place is always excellent. Food is phenomenal and service is excellent!
Food was great, but I never had such horrible service. The food runner/bus boy was the only one that was working hard.
Always a good experience. Great food. Great Service.
Very cute traditional Italian place for a date night! Great servers and really good food and wine. You can also get 10% off for paying with cash. Great ambiance and a lovely experience overall:)
Wonderful restaurant, delicious food, great staff.
This restaurant is a gem!!!! The restaurant itself is warm and cozy. The staff treat their patrons like family. The food is amazing. Good portions, great variety, and incredibly tasty. You must have one of their in house made desserts too.
This is our favorite restaurant and has been for 30 years. It never disappoints. Service and food are always 100%. This is the only restaurant we have felt safe enough to go to through the COVID nightmare
I would recommend Anna Maria’s to anyone and everyone
We have been going here for years! Consistently great meals, great service, great ambience, great neighborhood restaurant!!!!!!!
