Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.
Widely known as one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, Anis is a great place to meet up with friends and can cater to large parties with ease.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged.
Join us for live Brazilian jazz on Thursday evenings.
We chose a beautiful autumn evening to dine in their outside dining area with perfect weather. Our waiter Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable and gave us his recommendations, along with tastes of a couple of different wines before we chose one bottle of white wine. My husband and I shared the scallops, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I picked for my entree the fish special "Wreckfish" on shaved apple/celery slaw, and it was very tasty. My husband picked duck leg confit that he liked very much. We shared the brioche bread pudding, since I am a bread pudding lover. It was a perfect evening, and we are very pleased we dined here and had Jeremy as our attentive wait person.
The food and service here has always been supreme. I do believe it's time to update the look. I have been going there since 1996 and they have not renovated anything. It's tired and musty.
Food choices and quality were excellent. Nice outdoor seating area with plenty of room between tables. Service was top notch. Server was pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional.
One of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, have been coming back for almost 10 years. Great, authentic French food, only had one bad meal ever, a batch of bad mussels. LOVE their mussels and highly recommend them however, I consider them the best in Atlanta.
Love this place. One of the best patios in the city, feels like you're in Paris. Desserts and cocktails are outstanding. Last time I went I was disappointed with my service but I will definitely come back.
Great food, great service and great patio seating!
Anis has been one of my favourite restaurants over the past 15 years. The food quality wasn’t as good as before. We had pork chop and NY strip steak. The pork chop was burnt and dry. The sides were plain and tasteless. Same for the sides on the NY strip. Wine selection is good. Ambiance is great and our server Ty was very good. The food didn’t worth the value. I would still give it another chance.
The best halibut dish I have ever had! Prepared dinner to perfection. Wonderful white burgundy.
This is a favorite. The food is delicious and the room we were in was very quiet. There is an outdoor patio where it appears that pets are allowed. There are several rooms, and at least one is up a couple of stairs. The bathroom is on that level too!
Always enjoy food and ambience. Deserts are superbly delicious.
Scallops app were to die for this time. And I have to hot 50
The best venue in Buckhead. Unlike any other restaurant.
This is my third time visiting the restaurant. As usual, it was a great experience.
We live in the area and frequent Anis Cafe often ... we are never disappointed. The food and service are excellent. The menu selection is always great.
As always never disappointed with the food, service, and the overall experience. A do not miss on Buckhead
We had a fantastic meal at Anis for six people. Everyone loved what they ordered. Delicious! And we loved sitting on the patio!
First time dining after years of wanting to. Very nice menu selection. We had great martinis to start and then decanted a bottle of red. Service was attentive and friendly but refused to give recommendations. Food was very good and portions were ok but nothing was out of this world, must come back and have it again (I had the soup de jour and trout with fries on the side). It’s a cute little cottage with a couple tables in each room. Overall, we will likely go back but will probably take advantage of the Tuesday and Wednesday promos they offer.
Always a hit with an entire staff that cares about your experience.
I had been to Anis once before when visiting my daughter and loved everything about it. I was in town for my Birthday and was excited to go for a special occasion. The waitress, a blond lady who was dressed sloppily was immediately rude, and it never got better. My daughter had told her it was my Birthday and I had noted it in the reservation and nothing was mentioned the whole evening. We were treated like we were an imposition, service was slow and she didn’t check to see how our meals were until we were done(someone else brought the food. I can understand if a server is busy, it was busy , but I watched her standing around and not using her time efficiently. We had to ask for bread 3x. The food was salty and Luke warm. We kept looking at the waiter we had the time before noticing how friendly he still was with his customers and wishing we had him. unfortunately the experience was so bad and we were so let down we will not be back.
perfect as always they prepare their food in a consistent manner and always to perfection
We went to Anis for lunch on a Saturday. There were a good number of people there and it was lively and energetic. We sat outside and even though it was 90 degrees out, the shade and fans did a nice job of keeping it comfortable. The food was great and they had a nice selection of reasonably priced wines. Ultimately it was a super enjoyable, very relaxing lunch. We will definitely be back.
Very disappointed in our dinner last Thursday eve. My fish was served cold and dry. There was supposed to be a pomegranate sauce on top of fish but it did come plated with the sauce. The white beans were still crunchy and almost raw, served cold as well. My husbands steak was tough and chewy. The couple we treated to dinner simply pushed their food around their plate. It was embarrassing. Overall terribly disappointed and it was very expensive. On a good note, the jazz trio was really good 🤪
The food was very tasty and I would definitely go back to try another plate. The service was mediocre though. We were the first table seated inside and getting our waiter to take orders took longer than it should have. I was also very disappointed to find out that the brunch menu is only available on Sundays. When looking at the menu online, I didn’t see this indicated anywhere.
Arnaud abd his staff are the best at all levels. The food is superb and very creative. Love the ambiance.
Very hippy and french country looking deco. Food was very nice and service was quick, but the table was barely 20 x 20". Everything on the table when we were served dinner was about to fall on the floor. There are bigger tables for more than 2 people, but it just too small for having dinner. It maybe ok just for coffee or wine. Sitting on the porch on a hot summer day was a mistake. Not enough fans to generate cool breeze. It was miserably too hot to have a dinner.
Nice summer dinner on the patio
Great little restaurant we have been going back to for 17 years! Easy going elegance and great food & wine!
One of my favorite restaurants here
Took a very long time to place our order.
My husband and I were only in town for a weekend, but this was a fantastic recommendation! The filet was amazing! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Outdoor, quiet, late dinner was everything we wanted.
Waiter and bar tender were very knowledgeable on French wines. Waiter was very personable and gave very helpful recommendations on food. We like to share meals and they charge a very minor split plate charge and we didn't have to hassle with splitting the food ourselves. The covered patio dining was a great atmosphere and very comfortable. We had a great time!
delightful as always - service warm and friendly - food wonderful whether it be simple chicken salad sandwich or the fabulous trout - profiteroles are always a treat
Delightful alfresco dining. The moules frites are excellent as was the always delicious salmon over risotto. A desert medley of fruit and ice cream topped off a wonderful Friday night meal. A highly recommended spot for us locals.
Cozy little spot in Buckhead with attentive service. However, food was not as remarkable as my first visit - we both had salmon and creme brûlée and caramel creme...quality was something we could have found in average American restaurant, nothing remarkable.
Salmon was dry and tasteless. Restaurant has gone downhill in the past year.
I won’t be going back.
It go to Anis because the food is always good, the quality is very good and the prices are just.
Absolutely, one of the very best restaurants in metro Atlanta! Always exceeds all expectations of menu selections, quality of dishes and presentation, no matter what the event. I am thrilled to introduce Anis to new friends and associates, and to go with regular fans.
Whenever we are traveling through Atlanta we always make a point to stop for dinner at Anis Cafe. I found a recommendation several years ago and it has been a keeper. In a quirky house in a gentrified neighborhood, don’t know know how long it will last, everything being leveled and high rise buildings in it’s place. Always some fish on the day’s special that I’ve never heard of, but always delicious.
As always, the food and service was excellent. The tuna was perfectly prepared and the trout was delicious.
The only downside was the noise level.
