Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.
Widely known as one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, Anis is a great place to meet up with friends and can cater to large parties with ease.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged.
Join us for live Brazilian jazz on Thursday evenings.
Very pleasant dinner on the patio., but why do waiters address customers as "we" as in "How are WE doing tonight?", which sounds condescending, rather than the correct form "How are YOU doing tonight?" This was annoying, but the food was good.
We always enjoy our dining experience at Anis. Our favorite server is always spot on with his recommendations for food and wine. Delicious and a true Provence style experience.
Truly my favorite restaurant in all of Atlanta. A gem in the heart of Buckhead
Anise has always been, and continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Marvelous staff, easy going, delicious food, best bread, I feel as if I've stepped out of frenetic Atlanta and landed in Le Marais.
couldn't get waiter service after a wait and after the table next to us , came in later than us, got service. left the restaurant
We had mussels in garlic sauce, 6 total glasses of wine, ribeye steak special, beef filet and this sampler dessert and the bill came to $167. I don’t normally spend over $100 on a date but I left very satisfied with the food and the quality and service matched the price. I will definitely be back. It’s casual, it’s located in a house converted to a restaurant and is really cool, romantic lighting and great service. I highly recommend. But only go if you don’t mind spending over $100. Enjoy!
Always a special place. The staff is so good and responsive. Food is always excellent. Love the ambience.
Great evening and delicious food. Mussels , tuna, charcuterie and wine ... delish !
Gave this restaurant several tries. Dogs on the patio are a turn off for those with allergies and attempting to escape into the inside section of the restaurant is not effective as the smell of a passing dog seeped into that section of the restaurant. Food is fair and the most recent effort was overly salty. When commented upon, the wait staff said that they usually order that particular dish with different ingredients to avoid the saltiness - a bit late on the input. That was the last time for us.
Great food, great ambiance and pup friendly!
Fabulous evening with business associates and food and wine was exactly what we were looking for.
I always enjoy Anis. Look around the patio and you will feel like you are in a sidewalk café on a Paris side street. I enjoy everything about Anis: the drinks are great. The food is excellent. The servers do a terrific job of ensuring guests have a 5-Star experience. I highly recommend!
Always a wonderful treat! We chose to sit outside - even in this heat - but the fans made it delightful. The food is always great and the wait staff is friendly and helpful.
Another very nice evening while visiting in Atlanta. Anis is one our favorite spots. Always terrific food. Outside seating is preferable, but our section was a little rocky - uneven pavers. Probably nothing that can be done about it though.
We were party of 3 on a Wednesday night. My meal was served 15 minutes AFTER my 2 friends. We had trouble even getting silverware. It was crowded but this should not have happened. Waiter was apologetic and insisted on “giving” us a dessert we didn’t want and didn’t eat.
Great food and relaxed, casual atmosphere.
Our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. We always order the mussels. They are fantastic!
The food and the atmosphere were excellent! Our server was very attentive too! I’ll definitely go back there!
This is such a great spot. The carefully designed casual ambiance and great food make this a perfect spot for a date or special occasion
A little surprised at the location, looked like a residential area, but it’s a very nice quaint place, and the food was great, we really enjoyed everything about it.
We enjoyed our visit to Ani’s. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the ambiance and how attentive the wait staff were.
Great vibe but 3rd meal in a row that was not good in addition to being so hot even in the main dining room that I was sweating during dinner.
Our dinners were all excellent as usual. We enjoyed the mussels, short rib, veal steak and salmon dinners. No one was disappointed with their selection. We shared a sampler for desert. We try to visit Anis each time we are in Atlanta.
Great French restaurant with delicious food and ambiance.
A “must go” when in Atlanta!
We went with another couple on a Friday night. Our table could barely fit 4 plates much less anything else and so close together you could barely walk through without bumping other diners They must have been stretched for servers as it took forever to place our order and I asked twice for olive oil and finally another server brought it after I flagged him down
I enjoy Anis. It has never disappointed me. Whether ordering off the menu or selecting one of the specials, always great.
We've dined here several times over the years, and the food, staff and ambience never disappoint.
Happy lunch reunion for friends. All raved over food---trout, bass, arugla and other salads.
Service could have been better. We ordered the yummy mussels but we had to remind our server to bring bread.
Fantastic gem in the neighborhood!
The waiter was haughty. This attitude dampened what would have been an acceptable meal.
We had not been to Anis for several years until invited there by another couple recently. We had a wonderful evening and with the restaurant experience and couldn’t wait to Return. We did so and once again were delighted with the food, ambience and most especially the good service. Known for its moules and frites and yet the other entrees we enjoyed - salmon, trout and duck - were perfectly prepared and very tasty. Service was a highlight too. We will return more often!
Always a great experience
Charming as ever!
It was our Anniversary and everything was terrific. We’ve been going to Anis for a long time. It was great to be back. The service and the food were outstanding.
We celebrated two special occasions, Father’s Day and birthday celebrations. We enjoyed the Food, escargot, salmon and duck. Trout was my favorite dish cooked to perfection. Complimentary assortment of delicious deserts was a fabulous birthday surprise and enjoyed every bite. Loved the Decore and the earthy feel makes up a great atmosphere for any occasions. We’ll been here no of times and never been disappointed and will be back again soon. Love the valet makes so convenient.
We reserved an indoor table for two to celebrate Father's Day. Upon arrival we were shown to our table indoors, which pleased me right away. It would have been so easy to overlook our request but the staff took due note of it and had our very private table ready. We were almost immediately greeted by our server, whom we loved. One of the things we both really like about Anis is that it truly feels like a European bistro. It has the perfect ambience. It's almost like walking into a private home. There is nothing "fussy" about the decor of the restaurant. Nor the staff. They are very casually attired and very friendly, another thing we both liked.
The food was quickly prepared and delicious. They were serving brunch, so I ordered Eggs Benedict and my wife had an omelette. I can't remember ever having a better Eggs Benedict, and my wife was completely pleased with the omelette. The potatoes that came with my order were superb. Very hot and tender with the perfect seasonings. The restaurant always has specials, and for our meal I ordered the special desert: French toast covered with a hot peaches and topped with a bourbon sauce. Incredible! My wife ordered Sangria sorbet, another wonderful special.
We were both extremely pleased with all aspects of our dining experience. Warm and friendly staff, fast service, and out-of-this-world food. What more could a person want! We'll be back... many times!
Very good experience. Excellent food, attentive service and convenient parking (valet).
We went to Anis for a Father’s Day brunch. The food is consistently delicious. It was a bit noisy however the atmosphere was fun and vibrant. We hadn’t ben there in a while but will definitely return soon.
This is the French cafe we've been looking for in Atlanta. Not terribly fussy or trendy. Food like in Paris. Prices like in Paris. Great folks and delicious food. Lunch at Anis was a wonderful way to celebrate Fathers' Day. Merci!
