Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.
Widely known as one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, Anis is a great place to meet up with friends and can cater to large parties with ease.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged.
Join us for live Brazilian jazz on Thursday evenings.
The waiter was slow, inaccurate and failed to bring us what we ordered then failed to correct bf the 5 other people had long finished our lunches. If was an omelette. After that little apology. Sad bc I suggested it as I was gathering family from out of town.
I was embarrassed and my cousin left lunch hungry.
Fathers Day brunch
Always an exceptional meal! Service is unbeatable.
Both the owner Arnaud and our server were excellent.
The French bread is really good. My wife had the sole meurniere and I had halibut. Both were prepared just right with good sized portions. The desserts were yummy. While food and wine aren't cheap, we felt the value was good for the high quality experience.
The ambiance was upbeat and friendly. In the air conditioned space where we sat, the noise level was fine - unlike many Buckhead restaurants.
So, we had a great meal and will look forward to our next visit.
10 out of 10!
Anis is our new favorite restaurant in the Atlanta area.
Excellent food and service, but very loud. Difficult to have a conversation.
There are several options for dining (indoor/outdoor patio) and the crowd was exuberant, but not deafening. The wait staff was fairly attentive. Regarding the entrees, the trout was extremely tasty but the short rib over tortellini was just okay.
Always great food, service is always slow..
Love the mussels and kir royals!
Love Anis...our go-to French restaurant for the 20+ yrs it's been in Bulkhead!
Birthday celebration. Great service and food. Loved my friends face when she saw the dessert with candle lite. Thank you.
Another relaxing and amazing evening at Anis.
We used to dine at Anis a lot. We are in the Vinings area and traffic has kept us in the hood during the week. But we went Saturday for lunch at 1:30 and it was wonderful. Pretty crowded but we did have a reservation and they gave us a nice table on the patio. We gave up meat (except fish and seafood) years ago and we did not remember Anis having so many Pescatarian and Vegetarian offerings. We had the trout and the salmon and they were both wonderful. Lovely wine list. We hope to be back soon.
I always love going to Anis - The Mussels and the Bloody Mary's are wonderful -
Our waitress appeared 'disinterested". She did not greet us with a smile, did not introduce herself by name, did not tell us about the specials and, after we inquired about the specials and the price of the fish dish, she did not know the price. We were off to an unpleasant start.
Otherwise, we enjoyed our lunch at Anis. It's a neighborhood gem and one of our favorite spots.
Our staff was great at recommending the right pairing of food and wine as well as ensuring everything we asked for was taken care of.
Chris was our server and did a great job! He made fabulous wine recommendations, timed out apps and entrees and even brought out a special dessert for the anniversary celebration.
There were 8 of us total and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal!
Loved the ambiance and service. Our waiter was attentive and always around when needed but not overbearing. Food was on a salty side so if someone likes it that way it’s great. Really nothing else to complain about; just the salt levels of halibut and trout were bit more than I would like but texture, consistency and everything else were great. We will definitely be back as this place overall was great..
Always love Amani’s. Noise this time was bad on the patio because of a large birthday party for a group of about 20 women. But that was just one of those things.
This was my first time eating here and was very pleased. I took a client and she loved the ambience. The food was superb and our waiter could not have been better. The only reason I didn’t give it a five was it was very loud (although candidly we were on the patio outside ) and the portions were a tad on the small side. But honestly the quality of the food was amazing. I’ll be back !
Our favorite French dining and neighborhood destination!
WE GO TO ANIS ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS. This time it was for our daughters graduation from High School. She has a friend in her class from France and yes her and her family were eating at Anis as we came in. Always a fabulous experience.
Anis has and is a great place that does resemble dinner in Provence .!
Great date night with lively but not too loud atmosphere. Delicious menu and reasonably priced for a great Buckhead location.
Excellent wait staff. It was a great evening with outstanding service. Will come again!
Would have given 5 stars but parking was a nightmare. No valet available so had to park 2 blocks away
Great atmosphere and great food!
Atlanta has a lot of corporate restaurants and a few chef restaurants, this is the later and it’s wonderful. The moules and frits, and the swordfish special were both a delight. Informal and busy on the porch.
Great food and service. One of the best restaurants in Atlanta!
Quite possibly my best meal ever in Atlanta.
Once again beautifully orchestrated! Food-Excellent!, Service-Excellent- Beautiful Wine List!
Best Mother’s Day brunch in town, hands down!
Excellent food, but the entire experience was marred by overcrowding. We went on Mother's Day, a busy time for restaurants, and Anis tried to take advantage of the day by overfilling the restaurant well beyond comfort level to make every last nickel. As a result the restaurant was noisy, service was poor and we had no room to move. It is unfortunate, because we've been there before and liked Anis, but we won't return. Their desire to squeeze every last penny out of the day ruined our entire experience.
Stopped in on a Saturday night to our favorite French restaurant in Atlanta. Both my wife and I decided to have the mussels for our main course. The mussels are outstanding and comparable to those we have had on vacation in Belgium and France. The frites were not up to the same standard unfortunately. Get the mussels but skip the frites.
This is one of the very best restaurants - and probably one of the oldest - in Atlanta! We have been going to Anis for years, and have never had a bad meal, and always excellent service! The owner is always up front greeting and checking on things throughout. Can't say enough good things, but a must if you have not been there!!
Had the Steak au poivre it was delicious. Also had the dessert sampler and a couple of them were literally just a spoonful. Would get a regular sized dessert by itself next time.
We really enjoyed our experience at this funky casual French restaurant. My wife had fish and I had the duck confit and both were prepared very well. We liked the outdoor patio area but found the indoor areas to be nice as well. Service was a little hectic and perhaps a little too informal but overall satisfactory. We would definitely return.
This is a wonderful brunch spot. Mother's Day weekend is especially trying for them I'm sure. We have done this spot twice on the Saturday before Mother's Day. Food is great. French is the word for sure. I'd like to go sometime on a less busy weekend. I'm ready any time! It's just a great place in the Buckhead scene.
The service and ambiance was excellent, such a great place to go on a date (probably not for the first date, unless you really want to impress the other person). Food was okay, really good, but i thought the price is a bit steep. I would come back for a special occasion
