Anis Cafe and Bistro
The menu is deeply rooted in the ingredients and aromas that give dishes from the French Mediterranean region their unique flavors.
Anis is comprised of an inside dining room and an outside patio area that is available for seating year round, and a charming little bar where you may enjoy a meal if you wish.
Widely known as one of the most romantic dining spots in the city, Anis is a great place to meet up with friends and can cater to large parties with ease.
Reservations are accepted and encouraged.
Join us for live Brazilian jazz on Thursday evenings.
Always a hit with an entire staff that cares about your experience.
Very disappointed in our dinner last Thursday eve. My fish was served cold and dry. There was supposed to be a pomegranate sauce on top of fish but it did come plated with the sauce. The white beans were still crunchy and almost raw, served cold as well. My husbands steak was tough and chewy. The couple we treated to dinner simply pushed their food around their plate. It was embarrassing. Overall terribly disappointed and it was very expensive. On a good note, the jazz trio was really good 🤪
The food was very tasty and I would definitely go back to try another plate. The service was mediocre though. We were the first table seated inside and getting our waiter to take orders took longer than it should have. I was also very disappointed to find out that the brunch menu is only available on Sundays. When looking at the menu online, I didn’t see this indicated anywhere.
Arnaud abd his staff are the best at all levels. The food is superb and very creative. Love the ambiance.
Very hippy and french country looking deco. Food was very nice and service was quick, but the table was barely 20 x 20". Everything on the table when we were served dinner was about to fall on the floor. There are bigger tables for more than 2 people, but it just too small for having dinner. It maybe ok just for coffee or wine. Sitting on the porch on a hot summer day was a mistake. Not enough fans to generate cool breeze. It was miserably too hot to have a dinner.
Nice summer dinner on the patio
Great little restaurant we have been going back to for 17 years! Easy going elegance and great food & wine!
One of my favorite restaurants here
Took a very long time to place our order.
My husband and I were only in town for a weekend, but this was a fantastic recommendation! The filet was amazing! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Outdoor, quiet, late dinner was everything we wanted.
Waiter and bar tender were very knowledgeable on French wines. Waiter was very personable and gave very helpful recommendations on food. We like to share meals and they charge a very minor split plate charge and we didn't have to hassle with splitting the food ourselves. The covered patio dining was a great atmosphere and very comfortable. We had a great time!
delightful as always - service warm and friendly - food wonderful whether it be simple chicken salad sandwich or the fabulous trout - profiteroles are always a treat
Delightful alfresco dining. The moules frites are excellent as was the always delicious salmon over risotto. A desert medley of fruit and ice cream topped off a wonderful Friday night meal. A highly recommended spot for us locals.
Cozy little spot in Buckhead with attentive service. However, food was not as remarkable as my first visit - we both had salmon and creme brûlée and caramel creme...quality was something we could have found in average American restaurant, nothing remarkable.
Salmon was dry and tasteless. Restaurant has gone downhill in the past year.
I won’t be going back.
It go to Anis because the food is always good, the quality is very good and the prices are just.
Absolutely, one of the very best restaurants in metro Atlanta! Always exceeds all expectations of menu selections, quality of dishes and presentation, no matter what the event. I am thrilled to introduce Anis to new friends and associates, and to go with regular fans.
Whenever we are traveling through Atlanta we always make a point to stop for dinner at Anis Cafe. I found a recommendation several years ago and it has been a keeper. In a quirky house in a gentrified neighborhood, don’t know know how long it will last, everything being leveled and high rise buildings in it’s place. Always some fish on the day’s special that I’ve never heard of, but always delicious.
As always, the food and service was excellent. The tuna was perfectly prepared and the trout was delicious.
The only downside was the noise level.
Wonderful place for lunch , dinner, or brunch . I have been twice this week. We love the outdoor patio. Anis has a unique, casual and fun atmosphere. Food is good .Highly recommend.
Anis is one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants. The food is amazing and we love the quaint atmosphere!
Quaint and cozy spot with a casual, fun energy and good food. Great for a relaxing date night.
great staff unique dining experience wonderful ambiance
A fun restaurant with good food and a nice ambiance
Anis is consistently wonderful - great casual/cozy bistro ambience and fabulous food.
Overall great food and atmosphere, dine in or on patio. Always a memorable place in great location.
Anis’ Cafe is always a pleasure to have dinner! It is always cosistant with delicious food and excellent service! Without a doubt-it is one of my favorite places!
Good food. Service was OK. They were very nice, but not as organized as I would expect
Do not sit on patio on warm summer nights - too hot and seating is cramped, crowded.
The food is usually good at Anis. That’s about it.
I have been many times - last visit we had average food and not great service. It was too loud and hot on the patio. The decor needs some attention.
Anis needs to update its seating/tables/ interior, update the menu, and train its servers for an enjoyable customer experience. The chef is already good, but the whole picture gets clouded by a lack of attention to detail by management.
Always love Anis. This time wasn't up to par, but will go back. One bad time doesn't make up for all the many wonderful lunches I've had there.
Excellent lunch .... unfortunately there was a large party that came in at the same time and the restaurant was pretty full so the waitstaff were a little overwhelmed but very pleasant. Overall we would recommend Café Anis as we've eaten here many times before and always had delicious food and a great experience.
Relaxing brunch - great food and atmosphere. Anis is one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta.
Mediocre food. Definitely felt it was over priced. Service was adequate. It was clean.
Love the atmosphere on the patio. Lovely service. Great restaurant.
Delicious! Food and service. Patio was lovely. Will be back soon!
We discovered Anis Bistro through Open Table and drive over 2 hours one way to celebrate special occasions. We celebrated our anniversary there and the fun, casual atmosphere of this old house in Buckhead offers the options of outdoor dining under a canopy year round or indoors. The food is always creative and the service is friendly. We wish it were closer to us and we'd visit at least monthly.
My husband and I love coming here for dinner. Reliably fresh and delicious French dishes and a friendly and knowledgeable wait staff.
Anis Café I a hidden gem in Buckhead. The food is always fresh and delicious, beautiful presentatation and overall a wonderful meal every time. I also love the patio. It's a very quaint restaurant.
I was looking forward to coming here because I have heard nice things. But the food just wasn't worth the money. The scallops were grittyand awful. We returned 2 meals, which we never ever do. The server, Chris, was fantastic though. For that money though, we could have gone to The Optimist.
New manager, Blake, has implemented some new changes. He's done a fantastic job for a restaurant that was already great.
