Tim our waiter was fantastic too!
Great customer service. Food is very tasty and presentation is awesome.
Food was excellent service on point
Great ambiance with live music
Will be going back soon
Always a wonderful experience.
I have to start out saying that I love this restaurant but tonight the experience was not even close to the standards that we have come to expect.
I flew my children in and invited my parents to join us to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. Immediately I noticed the table for six that they crammed us into was subpar. First the table was a four top where the sides turn up and it creates a round table for six people. Unfortunately each of the four sides angled down from the regular table so all of us were eating on a slant which was obnoxious at best.
Beyond the table the service not up to par. We had several issues the most egregious being that two waiters collided and sprayed soy sauces on my wife and on her chair. The waiter never apologized or asked if she was okay. It’s lucky she had a dark dress on but this was really sub par.
We also had small issues all night such as: we ordered mushrooms and onions as a side and never got them. No one ever the whole night asked if everything came out okay when this used to be SOP. Obviously we were billed for the side and it was taken off our bill when we talked to the waiter but it should never come this at a restaurant of this caliber.
I won’t even get into the fact that the steak was not cooked to temperature, or the creamed spinach was crappy again no one, not the waiter or a manager ever checked on us but more importantly as I mentioned we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The reservation was made and referenced our special occasion and there was s card on the table referring to same yet the waiter had no clue. When he brought out dessert he asked who’s birthday it was. Again just not what I expect from this restaurant.
I am a frequent diner at this restaurant and I just have to wonder if the departure of Angelo Mazzone is having an impact I was not impressed. Oh and when I wanted to share my experience with a manger when we were leaving there was none available.
Be wary before you have a meal here.
I’ll keep it short and sweet ! It was our first experience at this place and it was awesome! Great food and great service! We will be back for sure!
Everyone was pleasant. Service was top notch and food was amazing!!!
Love this place. They need to stay on their toes!!
It was a great experience with delicious food and outstanding service. The layout of the tables felt a little crowded and the noise level was high at times, but nothing that would deter me from returning.
Excellent we n try
This was a fantastic night. Everything, from start to finish was top quality.
Absolutely.. Hands down..Without a doubt ..the best place I've ever been to in my life. I'm 52 and I've eaten all over the world..California to NYC...Cozumel to Bermuda.. Nothing even comes close. The service was exemplary... Our waitress, Layla and our waiter Tim, were both knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. It was our 19 year anniversary so we brought another couple to celebrate and we had the absolute best time imaginable. The seafood tower for 4 started us off..crab legs, lobster, shrimp, caviar, oysters, tuna tartare, shrimp salad... Just fabulous....my steak was cooked to perfection (22oz cowboy)...The prices are a bit high, but things of quality usually are....and Angelo's 677 Prime is of the best quality..can't wait to go back!
Always a great job
Excellent service, Great food and drink, wonderful experience
Wait staff was personable and helpful. Food was fabulous and ambiance was great. Celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary.
It was a great time and great food. Lovely place.
It was very nice, great atmosphere. Had a nice drink at the bar and the staff was very friendly. The food was great and Lela was great. Very nice place.
Wonderful as per usual.
Had a great time and want to give a shout out to our waiter Mark who did an excellent job taking care of us.
As always the food was terrific.
The tables for two are perfectly spaced away from each other and not jammed close together.
Provides a nice sense of intimacy while dining.
My husband and I enjoyed a lunch date to celebrate my birthday. The staff were incredible, and the unexpected touches - from the note on the table, to the complimentary dessert made our visit extra special.
Everything was great.
Everything was excellent as one would expect except for the noise coming from the waiter station near our table, they had to be told twice to quiet down.
We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated at a round table for 7. There were 7 in our group and we were here for my brother’s birthday. The table was practically on top of the other round table next to it. The waiter was kind enough to pull our table away a few inches so we weren’t in the laps of the diners next to us. The waiter was very nice and promptly brought a child’s menu over when I asked for one for my little boy. Odd they didn’t provide one upon seating as the Lu did give menus, wine lists and specials. Anyway, the appetizer of corn beef hash egg rolls were delicious. The wedge was just okay as the lettuce was not so fresh. My Mom’s filet mignon was ordered medium rare and was tough to cut and chew. She did t want to make a fuss since we were here for an occasion. I guess the waiter decided not to comment on her slightly eaten $48 steak. My husband’s NY strip didn’t taste right to him. He could t figure out if it was over buttered or just bad quality. Admittedly, my filet mignon in the bone was good but not worth $52 and the other entrees were cooked fine and tasted good. The dulce de leche croissant was the highlight of the meal. It was delicious! A very unusual dessert. The chocolate cake which I ordered so my brother would have a dessert and candle to blow out was also very good. I’d say their wine, hot appetizers and desserts are great. Their steaks are nothing special...sorry to report.
I always dine here when visiting Albany. The food is excellent. We were fortunate to have our favorite server Mark. The food and service were perfection.
Wonderful as per usual. Food was awesome and very generous portion sizes.
first class from the moment we were greeted by the valet. We went on a fairly busy Saturday night for an anniversary dinner. We were early and our table was ready. Everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Extremely long and extensive wine list. Very tasty home baked rosemary infused bread. Between the 2 of us, we ordered 2 glasses of wine, 2 cocktails, we split a shrimp cocktail (4 huge shrimp in a potent cocktail sauce), date had 14 oz NY strip and 2 oz of kobe beef, I had the pinot noir lacquered sea bass served over fingerling potatoes, asparagus tip and fava bean sautée, lobster creamed leeks, pinot noir reduction; we split 3 sides - roasted Brussel sprouts, lobster mashed and a special of the night "mac and cheese waffle" which was the only thing we didn't enjoy that evening. Everything else was outstanding! We finished with a special coffee and crème brulee. All of the entrees were abundant, the sides were plenty for 2-3 people (we left with doggy bags of everything) and it was just a delightful dining experience. I would definitely go back and recommend to everyone.
We had an amazing dinner at 677 Prime. Layla was our server and she was amazing from start to finish. Very attentive and she is truly an asset to 677!
Outstanding service. Staff went out of their way to make birthday celebration perfect.
Went for the first time --I took my 4 kids ages 12, 14, 17 and 18. I wanted them to try something nice, you know, not fast food and with a fancy atmosphere. We played it safe by ordering what sounded familiar and they allowed us to make some changes. Everything came out great! I even ordered a cowboy steak to take home for my husband and he loved it! I loved the live music and relaxing atmosphere. I would not mind if my husband brought me here for our next anniversary (hint). We enjoyed dessert - big big chocolate cake and coconut cream pie - portions are "made to share" as our wonderful server said. He was very polite and checked in every so often - thank you :) great food, great atmosphere and great experience!!!
Went for our anniversary and had “happy anniversary “ on our desert and gave us a $10 gift card . Very tentative server
Good service, nice wine list nice presentation.
I love steak and I have eaten a a lot of high end Steak Houses over the years, but never have I eaten at one that was as good as 677 Prime! To start I had an Old fashion that was made to perfection. As an appetizer I ordered Oysters on the Half Shell, I love oysters and prior to this experience I have never had a reason to rave about them really the oyster does most of the work the restaurant opens them and put them on a plate, but at this place they were served with a lemon, Tabasco and horse radish sorbet that was the most delightful accompaniment to oysters that I have ever had, tangy with just the right amount of heat. I order a NY strip which was done to perfection, but the extra was that it was served with a head of roasted garlic on the side and the garlic went very well with the steak, for a veg I ordered the creamed spinach. Normally creamed spinach is very heavy with cream and sometimes cheese and I admit that is what I was expecting but instead it was prepared in a very light cream with a heavy dusting of Parmesan, it was great. For desert I had the cuissant doughnut It was a flaky doughnut floating in a vanilla cream sauce with a bout a pound of whipped cream. Fantastic! The server was polite, knowledgeable and attentive, but not to attentive. Over all it was a great meal and if I every get back to Albany I would eat there again.
As ever, the food was incredible, Chef Kenny and his team are masterful. Amazing amuse bouche, decadent dessert, and an amazing jalapeño creamed corn — sweet, savory and just a hint of spicy kick. The Pinot Noir Lacquered Sea Bass as usual (have every time) is an out of this world, umami experience. NEVER EVER change this one! Served with creamed leeks, fingerling potato discs, favs beans and lobster with reduced Pinot Noir drizzle. The cauliflower steak was excellent & tender and the real star of that dish was the cauliflower purée, which was pure velvet. Staff service is impeccable and gracious and knowledgeable as always. They made my birthday truly special. Thank you to Chef Kenny, Erich, and the entire team, as well as Chef Jaime Ortiz for creating such an elegant and comfortable atmosphere with his food, decor and selection of team. It is always welcoming and enjoyable.
Fantastic as always.
First time at 677 Prime to celebrate Valentines Day with my husband. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant is beautiful and the smells from the kitchen literally meet you at the front door. Susan was our waitress and she was wonderful! Husband and I left with full stomachs and empty wallets, but it was worth every penny. We will definitely be going back for our Anniversary.
The staff makes this restaurant! From the front desk, to the wait staff to the kitchen. They accommodated some tough food allergies while still keeping the food exciting and tasty. The food is very tasty but was looking for a few more vegetarian options. I like how they did not rush us and gave us ample time to enjoy each part of our meal. Great drink selections and ambience make this a great place for special occasions. I can't wait to return.
I ordered a bone in filet . They brought out a Porterhouse & then what looked like a strip. The last steak they brought out was a filet & I said - just leave it. I was told they would cover it. They did not. Covered 2 drinks......thanks. Pretty disappointing. I repeatedly said bone-in, but nobody listened. I will not eat here again. They do not listen or care
Disappointed with the meal overall. It was a holiday, but the resturant was not full when we sat or when we left. For the price of the selections I expected better quality. A majority of our food was cold when served. Service was ok, not great, couldn't send food back because our waitress didn't stop by to ask how it was. For a $300 meal, very disappointed - I wouldn't go back and would not recommend.
Great dinner. Medium well filet came out well done and gray but dealt with it. Food was otherwise very good. All the right touches on dishes. Cherry Pepper Pork was FANTASTIC! Basically picture the fanciest of pulled pork nachos. Big chocolate cake was BIG and delicious. Will certainly be back when we need a nice, fancy dinner (Valentines Day)
The service was impeccable. We were allowed time to talk over some business before ordering, but were never ignored. All the food we ordered was very good - the lobster roll looked to be the star though. My first visit, but won't be my last.
