Caesar salad is the best in town. Pasta okay. Needs less sauce and more seasoning. Staff is very pleasant. Unlike other places happy hour prices apply at table as well as bar
I’ll come back to this restaurant!! I love their food and the place so cozy and familiar! Thanks
We skipped lunch so we had an early dinner. We were quickly seated and served and all four meals were very good. The service was great.
Last minute find for lunch. Nice specials offerings with great portions. Nice house wine and a good value. Just one suggestion, this is New York, get rid of the pizza dough balls and offer some real Italian bread.
We enjoyed the food and service was always prompt. The only draw back was we dined on a very cold night, too cold to set near a window. This was unfortunate. Overall we had a very enjoyable neighborhood dining experience.
A neighborhood gem!! Attentive service, cozy atmosphere. Soft playing music (we could actually have a conversation without yelling at one another!) AND...the pizza is divine. Thin crust and thoughtfully prepared. Can't wait to go back!!!
Classic Italian in comfortable environment with local neighborhood feel. Food was fresh and good. The for help sign on door accurately reflected their need for waitstaff but bartender/waiter was helpful. Pending grade so hope they do okay.
Ate here before the marathon. Service, food, and atmosphere were great and price was acceptable!
This restaurant has good and poor qualities. The location and atmosphere inside are very good. Thing is, nobody was in there on a friday night. After we had dinner, we understood why. We saw an open kitchen firing up pizzas and alot of delivery people going in and out so the pizza is probably very good. It took 2.5 hours from start to finish with our meal. We had to hail server over even though the place was empty. Veal piccata was tough, no flavor of lemon with a floury cream sauce. The veal marsala was apprently better. Bread should be warmed up in a place like this but wasn't. Then the bill came with a mandatory tip for four people? REALLY?
Great food, friendly service, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Very nice staff and a wide variety of dishes to choose from.
We had a great time at the restaurant with our friends. Food and the ambiance was very good. Highly recommend for a nice casual dinner...
We ate at a table by the window! It was great to feel the breeze during dinner.
Great food and nice friendly service. Not sure if the air wasn't working - but it was a bit hot inside the restaurant - outside of that, very good overall!
Pre theater dinner with friends. Very accommodating. Food quality was excellent and a great menu. Would recommend this reastautant highly
We were very pleased with the service and the low key ambiance.
However the food left much to be desired.
Dishes were drenched in spaghetti sauce and parts of the meat were not tender.
Friendly service in a quaint setting.
Great time had by all family affair - great service by waiter and waitress- warm and friendly atmosphere-good food great espresso and dessert yummy
The food was very disappointing. I've never had bruschetta with a one inch thick pile of shaved mozzarella on top. This was a business lunch for 7 people on my team and the bill came with a generous 20 percent tip already included. I thought that was inappropriate for a business lunch and considering there were few people in the restaurant, I would have tipped 20+ percent. It was just distasteful considering the food was extremely mediocre at best. I was pretty embarrassed I chose this place for my team's lunch and would never go there again.
awesome and quite restaurant
Great service. Food was very good.
We found this restaurant had great reviews on Yelp so we decided to walk over and see for ourselves. We were in the city for our baby moon and I HAD to have some yummy Italian food. Well this fulfilled all of my cravings and then some. The chicken parm was DELICIOUS! At first I thought it would be too much but I ate every last bite. My husband got linguini with chicken, peppers and tomatoes. He devoured it as well. We were very satisfied with our meals. I wish we had room for dessert but alas.....we left without it. Maybe next time!
Meatballs were cold, but the sauce was so hot it burned my mouth. Service was very slow. Took 20 minutes to get and pay our check. The bread was good however, and the taste of the salmon was good.
Place we empty on a Friday night. I went with a group of people, and will not be going back. One ordered pasta with meatballs, which were frozen in the middle. Even after sending them back, they did not come out hot from the kitchen. We split a Caprese salad, and the tomato was probably the worst quality I have ever seen at a restaurant. The tomato sauce used for the pasta tasted underdone.
The best part of the meal was the pizza, which was over-cheesed but still had decent flavor.
The food was reasonably priced. We live in the neighborhood so it is easy to get to. The server seemed angry at the world . She poured our water and it was all cloudy. We said we wouldn't drink it and she just left it on the table anyway. It's really to bed because of her I'm not interested in rushing back. I had the grilled whole fish . It was so delicious.
Had to wait over an hour for our reservation, though comped limoncello at the end from the manager evened the tide
Food was so good!! Plentiful plates. Very nice waitress. Great little rolls too. Definitely would return
We were looking for a nice Italian resturant without going to the typical NY place and this was a great choice. I would consider it a great find in a local neiborhood setting on the east side, staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was really outstanding.
The food is good. The service is excellent. The wait person even found a button that one of the diners had lost.
A rare find in midtown NYC where prices are reasonable, food is simple and good, and noise level allows for conversation.
My wife and I decided to get away from our lives in Philly by visiting Manhattan for the weekend. This restaurant provided us with an excellent meal in a comfortable setting that didn't break the bank.
Perfect neighbourhood restaurant, relaxed, informal, good food and great atmosphere.
Went here with my son and we were seated right away. No one asked us if we had a reservation. We ordered our food right away and our drinks but we waited for a coke and water for over 15 minutes. Our waitress wasn't
Very attentive so if you're in a rush definitely wouldn't
Recommend this place but in all fairness the food was delicious..,they just need to improve the service.
Looks like the kind of place that would be great for takeout. Watered down drinks, not great service.
I think the food was good, but nothing spectacular. I took some out-of-town guests and though we had a nice time, I could tell this wasn't going to be the highlight of their New York culinary experience. All agreed that there were superior Italian restaurants in their home towns.
The wood-fired pizza was probably the best item our party had other than the bread basket. The pastas were pretty standard, but good. The two members of our party that ordered the eggplant parm were not overly enthusiastic about it.
The ambiance was good: fresh white tablecloths and the pizza oven in the back. I would go back, but probably not bring out-of-town guests looking for a "New York experience."
Our dinner at Angelo Bellini was delicious! The value for the meal was great and the service was terrific! I would go back!
Great choice for large groups. 2 adults and 5 big kids, 1 bottle of wine=$200. Not bad. Pasta dishes are big; feel free to share.
Best Cosmo ever. Perfect vodka sauce. Service was great. A wonderful experience. I'm coming back!
Poor service. The pizza was terrible. Nothing like the standard of other NY restaurants. Avoid.
