Angelina's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
My husbands favorite restaurant in Bonita Springs. He loves the decor , and we both like the food. Even though they have a choice of many entrees, it is also possible to have a lighter meal. For instance, you can have half portions of their pasta dishes which, by the way, are excellent.
This was not our first time at Angelina’s but was very disappointing. Our appetizers came well ahead of our cocktails. We had to ask the server and was told there were many other orders ahead of ours. Dinner didn’t start off well. The noise level was ridiculous. Disappointed.
My wife and I went on our date night to Angelina’s on a Sunday night. The food was exceptional in all respects. The main selections were grouper and beef filet. Both were perfect with smooth sauces that blended well with the overall dish. The fish was very hot temperature wise when served making it delicious. The steak cooked medium rare was done perfectly. The salad of goat cheese and tomatoes was well balanced with great quality of olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Two pastas half orders of ravioli squash and wide long pasta with tomatoe sauce were very well done. The staff were good and the bread served had several good choices. It was the best overall meal I have had in the Naples Fort Myers area ever.
Nice venue, we were sited next to a fivesome that the whole room could hear, that is not the restaurants .fault. In fact they offered us another table. I did think the service was very spotty, took 10 minutes to get a cocktail while my wife was deciding on her wine. Another 10 minutes.
Not good pacing, other wise a good meal
I have to start by stating that I am not a pasta eater: Too unhealthy. So perhaps Angelina's pasta is out of this world - however, the food that we ordered was pedestrian at best. The seafood soup was cold and much of the fish was tough. The squash soup was pretty tasteless. My mussels were actually tasty but a few were not opened: most upscale restaurants would have removed those. WIth so many choices in the area, it is doubtful we would return. The service, however, was quite good.
What a disappointment... we have been coming to Angelina’s for years to cleberate special occasions and this year we were really excited to come back. We were initially offered terrible seats in the same room as a private party. When we asked if there were any alternatives a very cold response and reluctantly went to find out. We were offered a nicer table and took it. Then our server appeared... the guy was dripping in sweat and gave yes /no answers to almost everything we asked about. Eventually our food arrived. Portions have changed , recipes have changed, the once-amazing butternut squash risotto was awful. The pork belly and scallops were incinerated. Only ate half of it and no one asked if everything was ok. Desert was probably the highlight. Paid the bill and left thoroughly unhappy. Angelina’s I don’t know what happened to you but I think you probably lost us as loyal customers that night. What a shame.
We were greeted by A very friendly and pleasant parking valet so Ourevening out off to a great start. When we checked with the hostess for 430 reservation we realize happy hour was going on in the bar so we thought we would have one cocktail there and asked if we could push our reservation back to 5 o’clock. She said she could do that, but was not happy about doing it and had somewhat of an attitude. Upon finishing our cocktail We were shown to a table way in the back of the restaurant where a private party was being held in the corner table which was a pair of the restaurant probably the worst table in the whole restaurant. We told the girl that who was seating on us we would like a different table and after checking with the hostess, she did show us give us one which is a much better location. From there on in our evening was very pleasant although there is a small mixup in the food they more than made up for it so we will be returning . Upon leaving around 7 o’clock there were several empty tables around us so why we were seated in the very unfavorable table in the first place I still cannot figure out. Had we not been seated in a better table I would’ve walked out and never return
