We came on a Thursday evening and were seated and served drinks promptly. The drinks and food were very good, and the music was GREAT! We will definitely be back!
Great food and great service. Our sever, a blonde lady possibly named Anne was phenomenal and so friendly.
This is a Jazz venue. The restaurant is quite good for this sort of place. The jazz is terrific!
I made a reservation and they made me feel very welcome when I arrived.
My husband and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary here with our family. It was an awesome experience.
We had such a great time, that I hate to say anything bad about Andy's. The place was full, the vibes great and the jazz was fantastic, but, to be honest, the food was average at best. Burger looked good, but not very tasty and the steak was chewy and a bit fatty. Wine was fairly priced.
We will definitely return, but probably sit at the bar and not have dinner. If you haven't been to Andy's, make sure you go for the great jazz and great feel of the place.
I love jazz and heard many good things about Andy's. I had many people come to Chicago from out of town & state for my 40th bday and Andy's Jazz Club was the low light of the weekend. The manager greeted our group and made sure to congratulate me on my bday. The 2 tables by ours got bday shout outs from the band, I did not. The server was completely OK with splitting the bill 10 ways however after 3 times of trying to split the bill 2 ways I gave up (I was trying to pay for the food to say thank you to my friends for traveling so far and alcohol on the other tab as they were going to pay in cash). We only saw our server twice. Once to take our beverage order and once to take our food order. Never checked on our food or took another drink order. Tables were full when we got there and the same people were at those tables when we left, however we were only allowed to sit for 2 hours. The band that was playing was great however only played from 7:15-8:00. From 8:00-9:15 there was no music as the next band took a long time to set up. Simply disappointing.
Great music and excellent food!
The gift card machine was not working correctly...celebrating our 1st yr anniversary and received several gift cards...3 cards presented...per server ALL THREE DECLINED..cards fresh out the package...impossible to be declined !!! .We suspect operator error...annoyed !!!!
A great find! Jazz jam was amazing with participation of musicians in the crowd. Definitely a jazz club that serves food as opposed to a restaurant that plays jazz but the food selection was nice and the portions were plentiful! Go for the music and ambience and eat if you’re hungry.
Overall an amazing experience. Had a party of 12, the host was very accommodating and polite.
Andy’s was great. Really enjoyed the performance. We made a reservation for 645, which was enough time to put in our order for befor the music started. The appetizers were amazing. My husband got the fish poboy, he was disappointed. It was fried and took away from the flavor. We really enjoyed the whole night and is a do again!
Great performance. Loads of fun.
The very worst service. Music was not what I expected. A bit of country, jazz, blues
We loved it the music made it a perfect night. 100 dollar date night with 2 drinks 2 beers 3 large appetizers and 2 desserts. We wanted an entree but were filled after the apps so ordered dessert. 2 hr max at tables and we were actually done and ready to go after 2 hrs because we were stuffed. Awesome place close parking garages small entry fee for the entertainment is well worth it. Come for the music eat some food and relax.
We have been here before and love the entertainment. The food has always been good, as well. We always enjoy our time at Andy’s and will return.
Enjoyed the evening listening to the Jazz group. The restaurant description said we'd be able to hold a conversation, but that wasn't the case. It isn't overly loud, but not as described. Food was good. Service was intermittent, as they didn't want to come to the table while the music was playing.
When we (my wife and I) are in town, we make it a pt. to have dinnner/jazz at Andy's! It's always our first choice, but this past Friday (4/6/18) was not as good. My wife's Po Boy fish sandwich was dry, and no seasonsing (very bland)! And the main attraction (the 9:30 band) was horrible, they sounded like a college start-up quasi-jazz band! It sounded more like a jam session, than what we're used to hearing at Andy's! The couple next to us, said they same thing. Unfortunately, we left after about 15 mins. Hopefully next time, the food and the jazz will be more "upscale!"
Reservation process via OpenTable was painless. The follow up emails as the event drew closer were helpful. A great stage side table awaited us upon our arrival. This provided us not only a great view of the performer, but conversation with he and his wife throughout the performance and after. Food was exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful. Truly a great night for our family.
Awesome & fun! We will be back!
My wife and I were visiting Chicago for a long weekend from St. Petersburg, FL. We love the city, it's arts and music scene. We were able to see Hamilton during our stay and were looking for an evening of great jazz music and we were delighted with our dinner and show at Andy's. Would definitely recommend for a nice evening of food and jazz.
Support jazz band
Went to hear Russ Phillips Quartet as a family. It was a great time! Food was good.
Definitely a bar trying to be a restaurant. The ambiance was excellent. The live jazz music spectacular. The food was sub-par with 5-star pricing. Everything is a la carte. I ordered the bourbon-glazed steak., medium rare. It was tasteless and the cut looked "select" grade. Cooked well-done. ($30) Crab cakes were ok (two for $12). Salad was a salad($6). No refills on soda ($2.95 each). About $70 per person. Not worth it. Go for a drink and good entertainment. Eat dinner else where. Oh..I almost forgot. $10 Cash only for the entry fee. You have to walk to the 7-eleven ATM across the street since NO ONE carries cash walking around in Chicago.
Atmosphere and service were great. Main entree was solid, dessert and appetizers were lackluster.
Great music , adaquate food. Fantastic people but nothing exciting about the food.
Attended the Frank Russell Listening Party, Great time as always!
Very cool hangout to hear some great jazz. Get there early to get a good table.
Love Andy's! Highly recommend for great Jazz.
It was wonderful! The food and music were amazing!!
A cool mellow place to hear some great jazz and enjoy some good food.
A true Chicago favorite! The meal as well as the music was a 5 star!
Absolutely a delightful find. Nice local jazz, exceptional staff, and an unexpectedly superior menu offering. Across the board a gem hiding among ordinary surroundings.
We love Andy’s. Authentic jazz, great food, great service, and unique experience!
The cover charge made the evening expensive, but I did know of it ahead of time via their web site. We had fun and made memories together.
enjoyed an evening listening to 5 piece jazz ensemble, food was very good and reasonably priced. great crab cakes!
I spent a wonderful night with my boyfriend. If you're a crazy jazz fan. This is your must-go place.
Food was good, easy to find, but the music! Kinda odd that even dinner guest pay cover, but it wasn't a big deal. There was a HS band there having dinner and some of them sat in with the band. Those kids could play!
Andy’s Jazz Club was such a fun spot with great drinks and amazing music. We would definitely go back here again!
Andy's was a blast! We had fabulous food, delicious drinks and outstanding service. We came to hear Frank Catalano's jazz band and stayed over 2 hours. It was packed but you could still talk and hear one another. We reserved a table in advance and it was good that we did because for the first set it was standing room only. The wait staff was all over it. Our drinks were promptly refilled, water refilled, food delicious with very little wait. A great, electric atmosphere!
