Get a new doorman ... And your host gentlemen ! ! ! Extremely rude 12/8/18
Great music. Good food.
This was our first foray into the jazz scene in Chicago other than the jazz concerts at the CSO. We were very pleased with Andy's. the music with the group Bowmanville and the food and the drinks, everything was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Seevice is impeccable and this is “The Place” for a jazzy evening
Got there for the 5pm show, so quiet and great listening for the first half, especially sitting up front. A little noisy later as the place filled up.
The music that night was ordinary at best but the bigger issue is that I’ve been going there for years and didn’t know they had recently changed the menu. The food is now really bad and the choices are limited. They used to have very good pizza. Gone. They used to have a great salad that my wife loved. Gone. In any case we used to love this place but any future visits will be carefully selected based on the artists performing and we will eat before we arrive.
lots of fun. Food was average. Salmon was dry with box mash potatoes. Chicken parm was juicy, and served hot. Salad was very good. Crab cakes I think were a frozen, microwave product. Price was reasonable. Very good supper club with live jazz. Get there early for a good table. Arrive at 6:50 to get a good 7:15 table. That allows time to sit, have a cocktail, order food and wait 10 mins for the second set of the early show. perfect timing. you're out by 9, or you can sit at the bar for the next act.
This past experience was much better than the last- mainly due to the host and hostess. They know how to treat “regulars”. The food and overall service was OUTSTANDING!!!
We took some friends from out of town to Andy's for the music. We booked a table for dinner because we didn't want to take a chance on not getting a seat for the show. We had never eaten there before, and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. It's probably not the best spot to go with true foodies, but if you like live jazz it is a fun spot to be and definitely worth going ahead and making a dinner reservation in order to guarantee a seat. We arrived at the start of the 7:00 show and chose to leave shortly after the end of the set, even though (on a Saturday night) we were not yet being asked to give up our table for another reservation. Overall, it was a fun evening.
Not a good value, food was ok, service was good but seemed to be a hassle to get a seat comfortable for us.
Great venue, awesome entertainment and excellent service. This is the real deal.
Great venue for music and food. Tried some great cocktails. Bar service friendly and quick . Highly recommend
This was my first time here. We had a great time. The good was great, I had the short ribs and my friend had the shrimp risotto. Great wine selection. The group was great and very interactive with the crowd. I highly recommend Andys and we'll be back soon.
We make an annual visit to Andy’s every Thanksgiving weekend when visiting family in Chicago for past 15 years Never disappoints!
We always go to Andy's when we're in Chicago! The jazz shows are top notch, and the mood always uplifting!

I was really looking forward to going here because I had heard a lot of good things about it. The music was fantastic, but unfortunately, everything else about the dining experience was not. We had three different servers during the time we were there and each one of them was unfriendly, one was even rude at one point. I got the street tacos and they were bland and cold. My date got the calamari which was pretty good. Needless to say, go for the music, not the food or service. I’m sure there are other places in the city with equally good music but better service and food.
Great music and food. I ordered the Eggplant Stacks, yummy.
Great jazz starting at early time. Hospitality was also memorable.
I expected mediocre food at a Jazz bar, but dinner was delicious! Loved the options, even the deserts and the drink menu. But of course the highlight is the live music - great quality jazz combos, Sunday night guests at the mic, a very cool vibe. Super glad we went!
Ambiance was very nice just as one could expect from a jazz bar, not that I'm an expert by any means. Service was generally pleasant although I was a little surprised by the $10 per person cover charge even though we were having diner there. The food was overall good, didn't have very high expectations. The risotto was well cooked but not particularly flavorful. Shrimp where we'll sized and well seasoned. Chicken parmesan was also good but too much pasta water in the plate which made the breading a little soggy. Overall a nice experience and I would recommend going for a nice of live jazz music.
I love AJC! It's my go-to place for quality Jazz and good food to match.
Love the place music and food always good. Will definitely continue to come back. Always worth the travel. To hear the artist that they bring in for entertainment.
Andy's was a nice treat. Came highly recommended and didn't disappoint.
Really poor music ... without a doubt our worst music night in Chicago and NYC and we have done a few including at Andy’s . The band was pedestrian, zero engagement with audience ...
Amazing time. So glad we found Andy's. We went twice. Short menu but everything is excellent. Top talent artists.
Great music and good food. Will come back next time we visit Chicago.
Went there for my birthday which was the reason for being in Chicago. The $15 per person (cash only) cover charge even for patrons dining was a bit much. The food was good and the live music fabulous. Our waiter had a bit of an attitude and not as attentive as he should’ve been but still a great evening.
Great music venue, and kid friendly until 9pm. If taking the family, book a 6:45 table so that you can get seated and order your meals before the 7pm show kicks off.
Great place to listen to live music, but sometimes other patrons get too loud to allow others to appreciate the music.
This place is awesome! The music was so good and entertaining. We could have stayed there all night. The only complaint that we had is the 2 hour table limit. This is completely understandable. It is necessary in this setting to limit dining to the 2 hour limit to help with table reservations. However, to collect a cover charge and then limit the time seemed unfair. The cover to hang in the bar is fine. However, since we were eating, there was no space in the bar after our two hour limit. So, we had to leave. It was still great and mostly we loved the music. So, if you want great jazz, this is your place.
terrible waited 14 minutes in the most uncomfortable and awkward seat and not a sign of a waiter or anyone! Left... only thing good about this place is the music. Would pass
Overall it’s a great environment. Good food and drinks. Service was decent considering how busy it was and the room is packed pretty tight. Jazz musicians were excellent and really engaged the audience. Only downside is the $15 cash only per person door charge, even if you’re there for dinner. Make sure you have cash in-hand whether you have a dinner reservation or just sitting in the bar area. We would definitely go again.
Estupendo lugar para cenar bien y oír buen jazz en Chicago
Very good! We liked very much our dinner there with live music jazz.
One comes mainly to listen to high quality Jazz but the food is very good too.
I must say I've introduced several of my friends to this location and the ambiance as well as live band and setup is amazing!! God is delicious Everytime definitely a cozy place to have drinks, food and great Jazz!
Great, great music. Great food. Good service. One of the niceste jazz bars in Chicago!
Fun, great Jazz , good service, good food and friendly staff
I spent my birthday there 2yrs in a row. The food, service and band are always outstanding. I would definitely recommend to others.
