Andy's Jazz Club
Music was great and the atmosphere was perfect. We came here for some post dinner music and drinks. Great cosmo.
It was a great time!!
Came to Chicago for fellas weekend with my dad and brothers. We chose to check out some jazz for dinner and were beyond thrilled with our choice. Everything was awesome especially our server Vicky and her suggestions, their ability to accommodate vegan options, and let's not forget the main attraction... the band! Well done, Andy's!
Great venue for jazz...and the food was really good!!!
I took someone special to celebrate their birthday! They love Jazz and I thought this was the perfect place. I had lots of details and Lynn along with our server excecuted them all perfectly! The seating right next to the band right along the Wall of Fame, having his drink of choice ready to be delivered as soon as he took off his coat, and his favorite dessert with a candle lit timed perfectly! The bands for the evening were also amazing!!!! Thank you all again for making his day memorable.
This was a great value. Under 100.00 per person includes food, drink, service, and GREAT MUSIC. Will keep this on the list for future visits!!
Excellent music from the Mike Smith Quartet.
Someone should alert the kitchen that a small dish of tasteless pasta in boiling water does not constitute a 'side dish'.
My friends and I had a great time. We all will be back soon. Thanks
I didn’t eat here hence my high score- could dim the lights a little bit. But all in all a fun time with great music!
Wanted to find a place that had both food and music. Had a great time. Service was very friendly, food was good (a little pricey, but to be expected for that part of town) and music was good.
Very friendly staff. Good music and nice ambiance. Poor food.
One of the best places in the city to see Jazz! Always a fun crowd and excellent musicians.
The jazz music was just what we had hoped for. The venue is very cool, traditional jazz atmosphere and intimate setting so close to the music. The Amish chicken was wonderful - moist and flavorful. The Parmesan Chicken was more fried than baked and good but not great. Definitely not kid friendly - no kid's menu but the servers were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return for the music but might try appetizers this time.
In town with friends for a weekend trip. Andy’s was one of our primary destinations and everyone had a great time.
Waiter was very professional. Classy atmosphere. Excellent musicians. I enjoyed the 5 pm band start.
Fantastic music, delicious food, amazing ambiance. I will be coming back soon!! Came for my moms birthday and couldn’t have been more impressed by the set (we saw Spider Saloff). Good amount of noise so you can talk while they’re playing without feeling rude. So cozy and good dinner options for all types of eaters.
Me and my friends had a good time at Andy's Jazz Club. The band was very good and the food was great. One thing to bear in mind is that if you want to have a conversation, the sound may be too loud.
Went here for Jazz and got some good food too. Always a good option to here some talented musicians with a good dining experience.
I REALLY ENJOYED THE MUSIC AND DRINKS. THE AMBIENCE WAS ALSO GREAT AND THE DINING WAS AFORDABLE.
Lousy steak, real thin for a steak ordered medium rare. I should have sent it back.
Lovely place to enjoy jazz music and services were quite decent.
Amazing music, good service and real nice environment. Great experience for listening jazz 🎷
Very great atmosphere.
Good music for jazz lovers.
Great music, great service, modest food.
Wonderful service, amazing music and delicious menu. Will always come back when in Chicago!
This is my first review ever haha, because I loved Andy’s Jazz club! The music, kitchen, everything was great!
Whatever cocktail we ordered it was undrinkable.. went for wine but did not get any better!
Food and music were very good. The workers not so much, having that ‘chicago’ attitude which is not welcoming. Food was rather pricey but figures for downtown Chicago
We enjoyed an outstanding evening listening to the Marques Carroll Quartet! Music was outstanding. The good was good and the wait staff amazing as they navigate a packed, loud room. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago.
Great evening in the gap between Christmas and theNew Year. A jazzy winter respite. Couldn’t be bette.
I love this place - I take my guests from other states/countries here and they love it! Would come back many times.
As said by the jazz group singer “if you like jazz, this is the best spot in Chicago”.
Amazing place...amazing service... wonderful music.
Our server was very rude. She rolled her eyes at us at least twice during our time there. She rolled them once when we said we didn’t want to order food (we already ate) and another time when I asked for our check. We weren’t there but maybe 45 mins and racked up a $40+ check on drinks and that obviously wasn’t good enough for her. Then when I wanted to go ahead and close it so she could turn her table, she rolled her eyes again. If they had servers higher quality than Vickie, who I tipped but REALLY didn’t want to, this place would be incredible.
Amazing Music and Great Food! My daughter and her husbands first experience in a jazz club!
There were outstanding jazz musicians and meal was also great. Highly recommend this place to hang out with friends and family.
We enjoyed the food and the live music, but were less than impressed with our server. While he was not actively unfriendly to us, he seemed bothered and impatient. Moreover, he was outright rude to the guests at the next table, who were out-of-towners struggling a little with their English and with understanding the menu. It would have taken little additional effort for the server to demonstrate a small amount of patience, or simply to have been friendly rather than unpleasant. Big cities--Chicago included--are known for being inhospitable to outsiders, but I doubt you want this reputation as an establishment trying to attract patrons. Nor, I expect, would the musicians on stage want to be represented by rude servers who seemed troubled simply to do their jobs. Inasmuch as the food was decent and the music was great, it is disappointing that Andy's would allow one server to ruin an otherwise good experience (we didn't stay for the second set), particularly in a less-than-full dining room on a holiday weekend when every other restaurant/bar in the downtown area was booked solid. You advertise yourselves as a Chicago institution of sorts. Is this really how you want to be represented?
The menu and food we’re good enough but the entertainment was excellent! That’s the reason you go to Andy’s!
Andy’s needs to actually act like they’re a jazz club. Lower those lights. Add some candle light. Make it romantic. My mother’s retirement home has lower lighting. Food and drinks are fine. Music is really what it’s all about here.
What's not to love? Good food and live music. The band was amazing. The parmesan crusted chicken was well prepared.
